You are so correct..also it is needless to say that so many youtuber make profession camera, cinematic crap, log3, color grading and all sorts of BS but they dont show or tell that they are probably doing the video with iphone or any cheap mirrorless camera, we cannot trust those youtubers because they make money off of it and that is what they do for living!! Peace!
I film often with an iphone 13, canon xa50 and 90d sometimes i film simultaneously with 2 cams… and one cam might save the shot because the look was better closer to the mood i was looking for… on the other hand vloging with the iphone is a no brainer especiallly in good lighting conditions;)
Love this comment, confirms my plan to use both. Just got my first gig to film a promo for a Hop House. Planning on utilizing iPhone for some macro shots of the beer
@@RealAlexKlett congrats!!!! the quality and ease of use and screen of iphones are just killer... especially everyone is watching stuff on a small screen;) I once did a test with 3 cams.. 5 years ago... it was an iphone 8 vs other canon cams... back then iphones where just ok compared to current standards... after the test i asked around what footage people prefer 80% choose iphone... my conclusion was apple produces likable images in real time ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RJxY-BO7DVM.html
A camera will always win ofc!! But, the difference isn't that far that you wouldn't use the iPhone because with a camera I believe you will feel limited with power, with the iPhone and stabilization and all that makes it perfect for anything... The iPhone has come a long way. I just got mine yesterday just for pictures and making videos like yours Oh and you also mention the Batman film, that's quite interesting tbh.. Because they have the tech to get the look they want but nothing beats the real thing huh
Yea the camera wins! As I get more comfortable with it and get more lenses things will get better and better. So convenient to have the phone ready to record in any situation with no setup! I appreciate your comment! Good luck with yours!
one thing....once you get good at grading in SLOG...you will begin to appreciate the difference. The difference is that you can take that flat profile and do a lot. However, it is a skill set on its own. You would have to set aside time each day for a few months, learn grading tools, saturation, managing the dynamic range, tint..etc and etc... this takes a while. However, truth be told, the new iPhone is a beast, the differences in image quality are shrinking every year. A low end GH5 produces just as good an image as a Sony Venice 2010.
@@RealAlexKlett You can activate proxy recording on the FX30 the you can shoot vertical with cinetone ISO auto. Then I send the files to my phone with the app. And integrate it with other iPhone footage. Is really fantastic. We do this for photos and videos all the time. Iphones are very good in mix lighting and FX30 is great for detail and bokah
