This is two months late, but they actually do show the base secret to the three card monte in the game! It was just cut from whatever video they were watching for some reason.
14:34 "if ya see it, then it's best to pretend you didn't see it, because / nobody cheats at gambling without some muscle at the ready. " my take away today
14:25 Going frame-by-frame using comma and period, and this is pure execution. Basically he lifts on the top part using his thumbs, pushes them over the side into his lower hand, and brings them back together before he finishes shaking.
I did not expect brian to be the guy you pegged for this; but also, I bet he has absolutely dressed up for a ren faire to do period-accurate card scams.
@@leroybarneriv2189 You gotta look really close on the slowest possible speed. We don't have a lot of fine control in these videos but right around 14:26.8 seconds in, as he does the shake, I think he pops the stack in his left hand up while pulling the right one to the side so we're looking at the top of the left stack, then pulls everything together. You could see around 14:27.0 that there's a stack of cards on top of his left pinky. It might be easier to see when he did it face up at around 14:03.
I know two more uses/tricks to three card monte: 1. Hand slide: Bend the corner on the correct card and let your friends in crowd lose and rise the win pool. When non friend viewer bets, swap correct card with bent corner for a wrong card with bent corner. 2. Kind scam: Shuffle cards in the way viewers can't see. Use the odds of 2/3 to your advantage. Bet frequently for a low sums with a lot of people. Don't let them rise cause you are lowering the house chances or if you are feeling lucky let them rise only if they won. This allows people to see that you can win money and attracts more people to play. House wins 2/3 times and the rest 1/3 times wich gives you 1/3 of profit.
Wow, I remember BB from his scam school guile spike-hair days, and a few years after that. Then I kinda drifted away, but it was a cool show. It would teach you great things, and then amazing things like Cole's Law.
I recommend you check out a channel he does with one of his best friends, called The Modern Rogue. As someone who also driften away from Brian after the Earley years, watching that channel was amazing. I recommend starting with the earlier videos myself.
@@MohammedKhal1d Tbh his 3/10 is more just what elements of games he prioritizes. He prioritized choices and story, in which the game was very linear in, over actual gameplay and scamming people. I'd give it a 5/10 maybe cuz I found the gameplay interesting and the story was kinda neat.
@@dragonyte9021 so I am the only one who find the story good, guess I should disappear huh? And in the end, I liked it, not much after he explained but still good
