That's Greek music you are listening 👂 to. With w modern twist as you said. The zourna is derived from the aulos. And Marina is from Crete and dancing traditional Cretan dance when she dances w the men and with the women in the square. The ta, ta, ta- It is from μετά = meta = meta, ta, ta, ta. = after. META that's where Zuckerberg got it from. If you listen to her traditional songs, you will see the influence. Plus she is beautiful and highly educated in Greek traditional music and in the Berkeley School of Music. Etc: Philoxenia = Philo = LOVE or honor + xenos / Xenia = strangers = hospitality = XENIOS DIOS. ❤
The song finishes with the frase ..all around me changes so saddened.. change and adjust to the sound , icons, feelings, reality's. Has so many reedings.. Europe has to follow this kide of speed in everything.this song embraces all the differences and survive. A pholosophical, political, poetical aproach through music. EYΓΕ.
I needed to listen to it a few times to actually understand what I was hearing. I first I was overwhelmed and felt it was just a musical chaos. Then I heard it again and suddenly things made sense. I really like that the song doesn't give you time to get bored. Many songs at Eurovision after the 1 minute become too predictable, but this one just keeps dragging you from one place to the next one.
Thank you for your reaction!!!! 1️⃣Music instrument is Zournas 2️⃣ Her Songs Mantissa=fortune teller Koupes = Cups (the whole title is: Tha Spaso Koupes= I Will Break The Cups, and its a traditional song)
Very open-minded and detailed analysis of the music, the video clip, the lyrics. One will definitely have to listen to it multiple times to register all the subtleties of the song. You seem to have pinpointed so many things from the first viewing/hearing of it. Well done and thank you for your favorable comments. (The song, here in Greece, caused multiple reactions, from enthusiastic to condemning ones; I guess it takes someone open-minded and music-loving to make the analysis you did)
Υοu are very right Juan, the car, speed and the spinning symbolize the sense of freedom. I saw many reactions, you are very close in what Marina wanted to give. Multiculturism is the point that connect people.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0xFWCaURaIQ.html Marina is brilliant! She started as an opera singer and has moved to more Greek traditional as well as different ethnic tunes Best of luck.
Pls marina was only singing ballads (back in the day) and slow songs. Since when did Marina start singning reggaeton mixed with traditional music (what Rosalia has been doing for years lmao) educate yourself. The influence that Rosalia had on her is apparent, just accept it and move on.
@@Tm-ek7rq hahahah ballads? I dont think she got any balld at her bio lol ! U confused ! Also marina exist before rosalia my love in music industry this one say everything 🤷🏻♂️ ! Check her songs better then talk im greek and i know more about her and i know her before rosalia start sing
@@Its.jokas123 what does this mean exactly hahaha just because marina is older doesnt mean that she started with experimentation - she started experimenting (and basically copying rosalia) with her album Yenna (btw the vibe of this album, the images, the outfits and everything is literally a merge of El Mal Querer and Motomami) - if you cant see this then im really sorry for you - stay clueless i guess. So many things are copied: PALI - literally DI MI NOMBRE Spirto kai Venzini - the whole motomami era But also Yo x Ti Tucutum - the whole “mocking everyone” thing is literally the same as CHICKEN TERIYAKI (rosalia is mocking everyone eith this song as well) ALSO at the end of Tucutum you can clearly hear the end of LA COMBI VERSACE this song - Chicken Teriyaki (put the instrumental versions of the two and youll hear it) Andd sooooo many more - her outfits, the way she presents herslef on social media (being careless and cheeky etc is literally how rosalia acts) She even got Rosalia’s choreographer (of MOTOMAMI WORLD TOUR) to do her choreo like pls Idk what else to tell you to convince yourself - you probably wont so be ignorant and keep saying that Marina is not copying Rosalia lmao
And are we actually comparing Rosalia to this? Please go listen to Los Angeles (Rosalias debut album), El Mal Querer and Motomami and then come tell me about this copycat Marina lmao.
rosalia is a great artist too! but marin has had people saying that she copies rosalia and it needs to be clear, this is not the case. Both girls deserve a grammy! love from Greece!
Sorry but Marina made this kind of music long before Rosalie! The way you stated the comment seems that she's coping Rosalie when it could be the opposite as Marina is longer in music industry!
@@ΠαρασκευηΚωστελιδου we are going about it the wrong way as happens often in Greece. This art is not about who copies whom but what inspires the generation and the different cultures of the times. The only place copying is the thing is the big labels that hypercomercialise anything that has a spark of success to find the formula and sell hours of what should grow organically. Both girls deserve recognition and respect! and a grammy too!
@@makismalisianos5969 personally I don't think there is a copy but that's what many are basically writing!! Music is universal, people travel and culture is something that grows!! So it's easy to have influences from around the world!! That's not wrong but healthy!!
@@ΠαρασκευηΚωστελιδου I know and I see it every time in Marina's insta comments. What I'm saying is we not only need to defend her and all the innovative artists from this argument but erase the argument itself because it's toxic
This rhythm that you say is similar to reggaeton is, as Marina explained to us, the traditional Greek "Syrtos" rhythm like this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yTd4FqbEzhU.html you as a musician will understand something more then us when you hear it! Or this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MKY7IK8heQk.html&start_radio=1 By the way I would love to see your reaction to the second song if you want.
Actually, the video is a parody on what the average tourist gets after visiting Athens (hence the middle-aged guy in his typical for Germans sandals and white socks). FYI: Not your fault of course, but the automatic translation from Spanish into English is really crappy. Everytime you mention the word Balkan, it is translated as volcano or volcanic.
First of all I apologize for not writing English or Spanish correctly. But also read the opinion of a Greek woman about Satti's song. Most of us Greeks are outraged, angry with this song. The comments on social networks are very negative. This song is not the real Greece with its huge history. It is a Greece that is being lost. A Greece that is turning from a Christian country into a Muslim country. Unfortunately, this is what the entire political system wants. They want Greece to lose its identity, hence its tolerance of the huge and uncontrolled flow of illegal immigrants. It is an unidentified song with elements from Arabic and Balkan music. Not Greek music. Do not support Greek participation. Greeks who love their country will not support Marina Satti. Be sure. No música griega. Estar seguro.
