UPDATED!!! Few things changed so did a slight remix of this video for Resolve 18 here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eHj6Ed6fk7s.html
For a viewer using davinci resolve, I would do ANYTHING to make you keep on going with these types of videos. I think this is the niche that is PERFECT for you as a channel creator and in the long run, it will help you alot :) Pls pls dont stop with these!!!!
@@MrAlexTech Absolutely!!! Burnout can be a thing but if Davinci keeps updating, you'll have more and more to make videos about! If your afraid you'll run out of ideas, take it a bit at a time and maybe find out cool ways of 'modding' resolve if it comes to that to help or even entertain people even more. I'll be watching all your videos, you'll do great :)
As a person who is constantly watching a LOT of guides for various things. Your stuff is by far at the tippy top in terms of overall quality. No pointless nonsense, actually energetic feel with a tongue-in-cheek style and extremely easy to follow. Just keep doing what you're doing, you're extremely good at it.
I came for tutorials on specific things but I stayed to get inspired to improve the quality of my videos and make them interesting. Thank you infinitely Alex!
Truly a god-tier tutorial. This format is so versatile, so slick, and easy to put together! It also does a great job of showing Resolve's capabilities. Resolve is not very user-friendly, so it really helps to follow along with someone who can navigate it well and teach you how to appreciate it.
MrAlexTech, you have made the long avoided transition to Resolve a joy. Following along in DR while your video is playing has made all the difference. I cannot thank you enough.
Excellent, not just the slideshow tutorial, but you cover other things like applying transitions to multiple cut points, saving custom transitions and a lot more. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. Was told by my wife to make a slideshow of pics very quick and I just followed this tutorial and was finished in just less than 30 minutes. So very helpful..
Thank you for being the first person to actually teach me something that I was able to replicate on my own as an extremely ignorant beginner video editor. While I had some frustrations at the start due to not resizing down my photos, after some time, I caved and did it, which then made it so that I could follow your tutorial and get the desired outcome. Again, thanks.
lol Dude, about two years ago I did a 400 photo video and it took me about 10 days to do this on each individual photo. Now that I know the secret I'm going to do some more. Thank you man I really appreciate it.
I just know that years down the line, even when Resolve is at Version 20 or whatever, this vid will still be my go-to grail for a refresher tutorial. Timeless:)
I've been editing with DR for about two years now... these tutorials always blow my mind because I realize how complicated my workflow has been until now. Thank you for that great content!
I LOVE YOU. I ABSOLUTELY DO !!!!! This one came out right at the moment i was thinking of making a video with my favourite photos!!!!! THANKS MASSIVELY !!! You have really helped me understand many thing so far, and you keep on teaching me with every single video you upload !!!
EXCELLENT! Short, effective, easy to follow, clear instructions, useful tips and more. Why can't everyone else teach like this. Subscribed. Thank you and keep em coming.
I cannot for the life of me figure this out. I have a middle click but it apparently is not recognized by my Resolve 18. Under "Nodes" I can right click the "ColoredBorder" effect and then I can paste that one by one on the subsequent images in the clips. If I multi-select, only the first image in the selected sequence gets the effect. "Apply Composition" does nothing for me. Can you elaborate on how to get the white border, en masse, without the middle click? This is driving me crazy!
@@TravisNichols Stay in the fusion panel and select all the clips to the right of the one that has the border. Right-click the one with the border and click 'apply composition'. Done
Dude you rock. Way to do video howtos perfectly! Just a little problem. When doing the Fusion colored border I get the border with a ton of transparent padding rather than like in your video how the image border is tight against the image. Maybe a bug.
Much better. This time you got to the point quickly and you expanded it without a lot of useless talking that had nothing to do with the subject you’re getting better
I needed to make a slide show. Found this video. Amazingly helpful and informative. I always feel helpless up against the Davinci interface because who knows where things are. Your video made the slide show easy to get right. Thanks!
