It's important for homeowners to understand that it is not safe to use high pressure to get siding clean. Siding such as vinyl, hardie plank, wood and stucco are not designed to with stand force. It can damage the exterior of your home and cause streaks. Not to mention high pressure doesn't get the siding very clean.
We use a method called soft washing. We start by applying the cleaner to the side of the house. While the cleaner is killing the mold and lifting stains, we pressure wash the brick foundation. Once we're done with that, the siding is ready to be rinsed with our low pressure system, leaving your siding mold and dirt free, without using any damaging pressure.

This worked great with my Honda 2600 psi Pressure washer ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP , it came with two different size adapters, and tread tape so you're ready to go. I used it on my sidewalk that was getting dark and it worked great with no sprayer streaks. Just back and forth, really easy and way better than the spray adapters that came with my Pressure washer.

Very well done!This is my exact procedure.Apply soap from bottom up and rinse from top down.The jrod was a game changer for me along with a downstream injector and a good surfactant!You are lso representing NC very nicely!Maybe see u guys on a job one day soon!!

Can you explain the difference between soft washing and downstreaming? I haven't been able to find much online. From what I understand softwashing pulls directly from the chemical/water supply. Where downstreaming mixes it as a ratio about 10:1? If I am correct please let me know. Then explain how the setup is different. Thank you.

@@alexhunter6141 only real diffrence is pressure.Pressure washing is really for concrete,metal etc.Soft washing is better cause it wont damage the vynal.Several ways to do either but pressure is the diffrence

@@dameronlyon6740 Yes thank you. But I am familiar with what softwashing is. But am confused of how the setup is different then downstreaming. Where downstreaming automatically applies a ratio and mixes the chem and water normally 10:1. Where softwashing just pulls directly from the source and sprays it.

@@alexhunter6141 you can softwash with a downstream injector(that's what I do)just buy a JROD that way you are using volume of water instead of pressure of water if that helps?U can also use concentrate and a dedicated pump(4-6gpm),but it's not necessary,and just another expense when if used wisely the pressure washer will do the exact same thing..Just figure out your ratios and you may have to find a way to do roofs due to not strong enough concentrate,but that would be the only real need for a dedicated pump.

Make sure you never spray water up into a vent like that, the water will create moister in the attic insulation and cause mold. Arc your spray to come in from the top and it will rinse down.

I need to know if I am at risk of damaging plants with a 2-3% mix. I’m assuming with pre soaking everything I should be fine. I just notice in all of these videos everyone is soaking the plants with their mist. I’m just curious if I need to take extra precautions other than just pre soaking.

At 2-3% mix you could possibly cause damage to the plants. At about a 0.75% mix you’re causing little risk to the plants, any mix hotter than that, I’d suggest soaking the plants with water beforehand so they’re not soaking up chemical.

I can’t believe that the bleach being used doesn’t stain any near by fabrics chairs ect ?? U use bleach and water right ? What u spray on wood and vinyl fences ?? Same thing ?

Soft wash might not use high pressure but they use chemicals like 10-12% bleach so that could harm the siding. Also shooting up from the ground at an angle could get water under siding or in attic vents. I think soft washers do it this way so it's way faster and less danger of going up on a ladder.

Exactly. These guys try to talk shit about pressure washers using ladders but we spray down not up into the siding and not up onto the soffits and vents. Also my pressure washing takes all the crap off the vinyl and this guy is blowing the smoke the franchise sold him about how his system is better. I have NEVER damaged vinyl with my 3200 psi washer. Do we need ladders- yes. But do we hear from people/ we don’t want it soft washed/ those guys left our house a mess. Takes all kinds so so do your research. You can use several methods to clean a house.

are you using a downstream injector? if so doesnt it only allow a 1:10 ratio of chemical to water? if thats the case, 12.5% sodium hypochlorite will be diluted down to 1.25% which does almost nothing

The x jet is pretty legit. Unless you have a huge set up. You could also use the downstream on your power washer if your machine has that. I prefer the x jet just so I can prolong the use of the pump on my pressure washer.

Mike Bell you don’t need flow. Or pressure. If u got strong enough bleach u can do it with a pump up garden sprayer and rinse with water hose. You are letting the chemicals do all the work.

Mike Bell hey silly lil boy. A 2400 psi washer with 2.5 gpm will shoot chemicals 2 stories. But the question never mentioned climbing a ladder or anything about how high the house or whatever was. The answer is yes lowes pressure washers will work.

No need to adjust it. It lowers the pressure via larger orifices. It cuts the pressure by increasing the volume allowed out the tip.

how do you go from spraying a solution, to rinsing with just water? do you turn a valve off from the pressure washer where the solution is being bled into, then just purge the line before rinsing ?

You remove the downstream injector line from your solution container.

You use a Jrod nozzle like the one in the video. 4 tips on the Jrod. Two of them (one shoots high the other shoots low) draw your chemicals and sprays it out. The other two tips spray JUST water. Same. One shoots high up, the other low. You don't ever have to remove the chemical injector tube from your bucket.

Yikes, is that true? It was VERY confusing when he said "I'm going to wash it off", and never indicated someone at the truck was stopping the chemical downstream, as if he got distracted making the video and forgot to stop the downstream.
