I'm thinking maybe the Blueland tablets have preservatives in them because it is needed after they are dissolved in water. The mixture is then sitting for days/weeks until the soap is all used, unlike a bath bomb which is only sitting for the length of a bath. Once the water is introduced, isn't a preservative needed to keep yuckies from growing?
Yeah I totally thought about that after making them. That’s likely the reason - good call! I have one dissolved in water just hanging out to see if anything starts developing.
Hey! Preservatives are included according to package directions. For something like this, I would use a water based preservative at 1% for the ones I use, but always check the instructions on yours!

I love foaming soap because bar soap at the sink makes a mess, and my kids always used WAY too much liquid soap. So I've been using foaming soap for 15 years. I have always just diluted regular liquid hand soap. I love the idea of the soap tablets because of the reduced waste, but they are so expensive. I've made CP soap for 23 years and have a lot of ingredients so I figured I'd see if anyone else had diy'd this. So glad I found your video. I really think your formula with SCS would have worked had you used significantly more SCS. I have some SLSA, so I'm going to try adapting your recipe using that. Thanks again for taking the time to share this. It's going to save me a lot of time and money in wasted raw materials!

Another comment -- I have found in my many years of using foaming soap that natural liquid soap (like Dr. Bronner's) diluted and used in a foaming soap dispenser will break that dispenser after one or two refills. It clogs it is and damages it. I discovered that you pretty much have to use a detergent based cleanser.
I tried several recipes, and I found that if you use whipped soap in place of MP, it makes a great bubble bar. The sodium carbonate was gritty in the bath. I just found you a week or so ago. I'm really enjoying your videos. ❤

that clay one why not use it for say a topper for your bath bombs? like since its a clay you could technically mold stuff with it for the tops? ooo solid bubble bath! i like that idea! what was the base on the clay one? oh also you mentioned in an older video about someone doing the break down for the soap calc, do you remember where i could find that?
I made some bubble bars and the recipe called for 15 oz of slsa and it’s not cheap! So if there are ways to incorporate something else that isn’t so painful on the pocketbook, I’m down to learn. I’m like a sponge and I enjoy your videos and I have learned so much in just these past few days! I started off learning from the Soap Queen!
I make my melt and pour, so it’s kind of the same thing! 😂 I did consider using a cold process soap but didn’t think it would respond to the easy foaming as easily as a M&P.
So I made this yesterday and for some reason, it doesn't foam. I used the recipe provided at the end. I did notice that as I was mixing it and then placing it into the molds, that it started to rise. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!
