Thank you for this video. While preparing for my presentation on street-level bureaucracy this video made it easier to understand the theory. I was wondering if you have a video on street-level bureaucrats as policy makers.
Sir,Do you know any surveys past and present where the ethical sensitivity of the Street-level bureaucrat has been measured [negative & positive] in regards on how they treat the everyday citizen that they come in contact with. The reason I am asking is I am currently working on my dissertation and my topic to develop a tool that measures the ethical sensitivity of public servants.Any help or advice would be of great value.thank you
+Dean visitor I really don't know of any. There was an interesting book by Steven Maynard-Moody and Michael Musheno, "Cops, Teachers, Counselors: Stories from the Front Lines of Public Service," published in 2003. Although I'm a qualitative researcher, I'd like to read your dissertation when you get it finished. Jim Gaston
Thank you, Mr. Gaston, for the quick response. I am still trying to narrow down my topic to a city, organization, and profession. University rule 98% of the material used cannot be older than 5 years old, and the remaining 2% is open for historical information that shows progression. You will be one of the first to get a copy....
