That's just it. Being a prof of mathematics makes you good at mathematics; it doesn't make you brilliant at public debate or political thought. These people sound stupid when they leave their area of expertise.

@@jimziemer474 I was a math major in the 1960's. Nowadays, nobody knows how to do anything without a calculator--and often, not even with one. They used to tell you two plus two equals four; now they ask you how you feel about it.
I would also argue that it's on the professor to prove that crime statistic wrong. I wish Tucker would have pushed there. If that crime stat is wrong, than what is the real stat and what is the source of that information? You can't just say something is wrong and then have no evidence to prove it.
Professors and prosecutors - the most insulated demagogues we have in our society - they get to punch people however they please and nobody gets to hit back. Except when they DO get the rare opportunity to hit back, they can't take it and hide in their ivory tower - either their university or courtroom, whichever it happens to be.
I am actually shocked that the professor had the balls to go on Sean's show. He should have known that his rhetoric would be "called out" on the air and he would be made to look like a fool for not being able to logically defend his argument. Gellybean Riley my advice is to find a way. We have sent our children to private schools and colleges. It was hard we gave up a lot. I would have loved to drive a new car every 3 years. Which was what it cost, but I have been diving a 2005 used car. Instead of a vacation we went camping. You can do it if you want to.

I am now a math teacher myself and I had this man over twenty years ago. I can easily recall he was the worst professor I ever had the displeasure of knowing.
