What I wish to see: Economist Joseph Stiglitz going Hugo Stiglitz on existing economic theories with the letimoff of 'Slaughter' title track.

Thanks for spending the time to create and share this historical/etc content. Not a fan of Brexit, but there were reasons beyond the malicious external influences/etc that we tend to focus on at too large of a percentage of the overall reasons that led to Brexit. There were a significant portion of genuine reasons for people wanting to break from the EU… if those reasons had been heard perhaps Brexit could’ve been avoided. But that decision has been made, it’s 2022 not 2017/etc… the focus can be on strengthening UK from within North through South so UK doesn’t potentially risk weakening itself … the North needs to feel heard, to build the South/North/etc together. Synergistic solutions can’t be ruled out either.

German dominance of eurozone decision making barely played any role in Brexit sentiment. Rightly or wrongly it was things like immigration and sovereignty. This is obvious.

Uk seems to be in depression. Ageing population deficit now pound devaluing foreign investment shrinking prices going up wages stagnating austerity to come. UK not likely to start making mercs bmws porches or apple products. The Union about to fall apart.

My concern is the UK has become entirely subservient to American power

for all those anti-brexit....they must stop to critize and attack to brexit.....they must think positive for the new future and change out of EU..Great Britain will be powerful out of EU...

Brexit was not primarily about economics it was about political independence. Taking back control of the levers of power and restoring responibilty and control the elected politicians and the people of the UK. The EU is a non-democratic organisation which is heading in the direction of a Federal Republic of Europe. This is not the direction of travel the people of the UK agree with. Hence the decision to leave.

So he wants a socialist Labour Party outside Europe !
