Dr. Roady fun fact, the inspiration of the professor is Jesus Christ. I believe his testimony of how he found Jesus is somewhere on RU-vid, its very beautiful and I encourage you to watch it. Jesus is his motivation, and most importantly his Savior. If you don't know him, get to know him!
The professor has a large subscriber base because of his insane ball handling! Can't imagine how high his viewers would increase if he adds dunking to his arsenal!! Do it man!!
This is actually pretty impressive. I'm about 5'9.5 flat footed and I met professor irl. He was a bit shorter than me. I would say about 5'8, with shoes he's 5'10. That being said, when I balled regularly I was able to grab rim, always wanted to dunk but was a couple inches away, so it's impressive to see him do this. Need to get back in shape to see if I can dunk with a bit of training.
Never jump after an intense leg work out! You risk injuring your joints because your muscles are already weakened and not strong enough to support your form. Nah Im just joking. Thanks for your time.
You may be joking, but.. That's actually true. IF you do an intense workout your muscle will be sore and the fibers may be torn. So by exploding and having fatigued muscle that are not at their strongest will cause the tendons and ligaments to take more stress due to the impacts and force not being absorbed as much due to fatigued muscles thus leading to severe tears in the tendons/ligaments.
Not everyone in the NBA is exactly great, and it’s not like it’s impossible to be at a top NBA level if you’re not already in the NBA. Your comment has no logic. That’s like saying Michael Jordan or any NBA legend werent good enough to play in the NBA until after they got drafted... You have to be good enough first, then you join the NBA. So saying Professor’s not good enough to be an NBA just because he’s not in the league is completely ridiculous.
I'm 43 yrs old, 6'4" and weigh 245, I used to dunk pretty easy back in my 20's when I was only 190lbs, I was 286lbs last winter and now I am currently down to 245, I am hoping to regain my leaping ability.... By the way if you want to add 8 - 15 inches to your vertical jump go here now: MootJump.xyz
I'm 5"6 and was able to dunk a deflated volleyball. In my mid twenties I gained weight and wasn't very active and lost my vertical. I'm working on getting into better shape and I might and see if I can get back to touching the rim in my 40's.
@@georgepetrou501 Painstakingly slow, lol. I was getting better, past halfway up the net but when Covid hit the gym closed as did my motivation. Slowly trying to get back into it. Thanks 👍
@@acdc09 I'm with you. I am much younger and a bit taller, but still, the progress is going really slow. I feel like I am kind of genetically gifted, because I had about 27 inches of vertical with no jump specific training and no weight lifting at all, but I feel like I have hit a ceiling with 29 inches right now. It's probably because I still don't lift weights, but I'm definitely going to, soon.
This is the first time ive seen you dunk man. Not gonna lie.. i didn't think you had it in you. Keep working on this man, i feel like if you build more muscle.. you can start slammin on fools which will bring a whole new level to your game and content As always , great vid and keep up all the good work bro !
@@Eric-nh2yb I agree with everything you said,,,except for the speed part. Pro is still lightning quick, and he has good flat-out speed. Not bad for an aging legend👍
I’m 38yrs old 5’9 168lbs W/male and determination and a little hard work I can dunk a small ball after 70 days!! Greatest feeling reaching a tough goal!
Thanks for the inspiration Professor! Up until this year, at 6'4" and nearly 30 years old with knee problems I've never been able to dunk. This year, my goal is to dunk a basketball. Thanks for all you do!
I’m white and dunked for the first time my sophomore year in high school when I was 5' 9.5" and weighed about 145lbs. I'm 42 years old now, 5' 10.5" and weight 256lbs and can still hang on the rim (yes 10ft rim). I'd give almost anything just to do it one more time. Professor is da man!
well done prof...you surprised me. Iv'e never touched metal in my life. You had a bit of power too. Way to keep improving on a daily basis. Shout out from Vancouver, BC.
You can do it. Keep at it bro. I'm only 5'8 and could dunk in High School. The workouts do work, i also use to wear those ankle weights while practicing and playing ball.
😭 professor just finessed the shit outta of us that dunk at the end of the vid was from another video he dropped a while back called PROFESSOR DUNKS AT 5’10 You can even tell he has different shoes in the workout and in the gym even the pants but oh well who cares he probably was just to tired to dunk after the workout 😂🤣🤣
If you want to increase your jump more you can't stutter at the start and you have to run with your heels and leave the ground with your heels so you have more power
Hard work pays off. The good news is now that he’s done it, that mental block is gone. He’ll only get better at it. Had a friend in high school who could jump out of the gym, but could never dunk. I helped him get over that mental block and showed him some pointers in developing his vert, he eventually dunked, from then on his dunks went from one hand to two then reverse dunks. If you dont have god given ability, hard work helps.
"he's shaking that means it's working." isn't that actually weaker muscles twitching to compensate for a core that maybe hasn't gotten used to the exercise? :)
For a famous RU-vidr like you the gym owners would turn the music off for you if you ask them and tell them you’ll put the name in the video. Just a suggestion for next time. Thx for the content tho
@@ry_an. In the gym there was background music. What he meant was he could politely ask them to turn off the music so that we can hear them better. In exchange prof will leave the gym's name in the video description.
gyus, for vertical jump - best exercise - jumps with bar (just like on your video) with 30%-40% on top of your max squat for 1 rep - jumps - from half -squat. 3 x times a week 6-7 sets of 10 reps. NO More heavy weight for legs cuz u u ll overtrain. For jump prom one leg - running uphill while dragging as much weight as you can find or sprinting by dragging. On the days you dont do weights - jumps from two legs on a stand/box as high as you can find for 10 sets of 10 reps. Pretty much - heavy day /light day/heavy/light...ect. the program is intense but was designed for Olympic high jump athletes. I saw World Record holder Stevka Kostadinova - 130 lbs lady doing half squat jumps with 405 lbs. I tried it for 4 months in high school when played baseball and am also 5'9. From guy who was just touching the hoop, I went to dunking from two legs with two arms ..at age 17
Lastly : Don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. James 4:4
Relax guys , from my point of view what i did is not preaching , i dont think that is for today anyways.... paul said the gospel had reached the whole world and jesus said it was finished , and the natural man today in this world can no receive the spirit of truth , and let the ignorant be ignorant , and the sinners still sin etc , from my perspective its all about TRUTH , thats the only reason i posted what i did , cus i spread the truth , most people wont ever find it or understand it , take it for what it is , but please dont start preaching on my comments guys.
@@aaronpauwels4324 Fundamental christianity today is a cult and a man made religion , churchianity is the worst cult on the planet , like KJV onlyism , street preaching, catholism, and the rest of the other over 40.000 different christian denominations and churches, thats what most people who call them self christian belongs to, once u can separate your self from that cult and stop using the name christian or even see ur self as the same as them who calls them self christians today , then there are some progress... , and spreading the good news of what changed us and what grows us , and what gives us hope, has nothing to do with the obligation they had back then to spread the GOSPEL , that is over and done with , people are bible illiterate and think they are under the law etc and people think they are part of the job they had back then , which was completed and finished, this has nothing to do with us being prepared to show people why we was saved or came to wisdom understanding and knowledge , people always take that verse out of context as for me i have learned from experience that talking to the ignorant etc is all in vanity and a waste of time , u have to be able to discern on your own who u are talking to , talking to a blind a deaf person who cant see or hear and dont want to , is totally vanity and waste of time , speak to those who God leads to u , or visa versa , people u can see are interested in searching and finding the truth, its not us who saves anyone or converts anyone , this is Gods job and only his glory... But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.1 John 2:27 All i can tell you is walk the walk , and do what God leads you to do , dont follow man and what people , pastors or what churches say , follow the spirit of truth , God him self.
@@aaronpauwels4324 Faith my friend Faith. When you looked up at the sky at night as a child and saw the awesomeness of the stars and moon just like me, we knew someone created it. Just like when we marvel at a magnificent building, we know that someone built it. The earth and the heavens are God's evidence of His being. amen :) , i made a pact with God when i was a child just like that as u explain , when i was looking up the sky and the stars :)
@Distinguished Patron The issue people have today is that they rely on their own understanding , they follow the written word , not the living word , what they dont understand is that the letters kills , people need the living word , not the written word. You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to Me to have life.… John 5:39

That rim is like 9ft away from the floor 😂 and that was like a 2ft vertical jump. He "dunk" in the same court in 2017, check the video. In regular courts he can hardly touch the rim. Just check the court how small it is and the guy in purple shirt can easily touch the net just by lifting his arm.
He dunked in one of his AND 1 games back in the day, I believe, it may have been a practice (before or after a game) but he definitely dunked. Was pretty cool
And usually shorter people that can dunk, jump off two feet to utilize the most out of their legs. So it's pretty impressive to see prof do it off 1 foot
@@natedoglu No, jumping off of one leg with a running start usually yields the largest jump, it only doesnt if you have weak hamstrings compared to your quads
I saw your videos and you do not have streetball moves, apart from that you are only copying what the professor is doing with the superhero and basketball, if you want to succeed at least do it with something that is yours bruhh
Nobody in the world has ever done what I do. No acting. Nothing staged. And I accept all challenges. I’m better then your favorite streetballer. Sorry my friend. But I don’t talk. I show up and serve L”s. You can get it too
Great video as always, but yeah you can tell there are 2 different videos because at 6:05 he is using a different basketball while he is dunking, then the one he grabbed right before
thanks for the constant, interesting, inspiring updates. this is exactly my goal this year too! i will be doing all these work outs and hopefully strengthen my back in the process. this is a great share. keep up the good work and you'll be head butting the top of the back board in no time!
