Soyinka wasn't fed with lies. He has every means of verifying what information he has before making statements. He is simply speaking for the man he has been benefiting from all these years. We now know there this a difference between morality and academic brilliance. Farontimi, many Nigerians love you today, not because of your brilliance but because you are impartial and blunt about the truth.
"Fed with lies", he is trying to be polite, is the immoral cultist living in Mars? He only showed his true colours. Group of immoral entities who have mortgaged their consciences t to the devil.
Yes , David as an investigative journalist sacrificed alot exposing fraudulent politicians in Nigeria. He deserves protection from these crooks coming for him. Nigerians must speak out now.
Thanks a lot Egbon, I have been waiting for this for a while. We all need to stand for David for the job he is doing. It's supposed to be our battle but he is fighting it alone, sacrificing a lot for it.
Farotimi! "We are proud of you" is what we can articulately say right now. You are such a blessing to the voices of reason. And thanks for what you said about David at the beginning of the show.
Mr Dele is both an inspiration and good representation of the Nigerian. I do hope that we at least witness the fruits of yours and David’s efforts and sacrifices; Amen.
Egbon Dele has always been like this since our days in LASU. Fighting for the masses, fearlessly. He was even called “BLACK MOSSES “ back in school days. He has a calling to save the black race.
You are a genius that has no equal! Listening to you raises the hope of the hopeless and especially correct the blatant lies flying allover the country. No evil shall near your generation even up to the third and fourth. Your reward for standing for the truth shall be forever IJN🙏💕
This is one of the few Nigerian lntellectuals still holding hard on what i knew far back in the 80s. Nigerian intellectuals with very high esteem and Morals. We are proud of such African Citizisms. Keep up! 🎉*👌👏🤲🙏😇
The upright voice of Dele F. Nice and encouraging listening to you. The blood of the massacred, the slaughtered will join the living to fight the injustice and recklessness going on. Time will tell.
Farotimi, may you live long , you and Dr.Akpoti are my soulmates. I doff my hat to you two who have proved to be irokos, redeemers, bulldozers, and unshakable rocks in the midst of the tsunamis from the mouth of a Goebbels of our time in our clime. Once more I say thank a big thank you you duo.
Professor Wole Soyinka made up his mind even before elections, I remembered when the sea dogs marched in Lagos to warn against the danger of voting BAT, but he scolded them it's regrettable that he has been compromised
I hope Soyinka still have his American resident permit because so he can run there, cause we're only being Obedient that's why were still watching the judiciary.
A time will come when a people have to decide what they want, whether to remain in constant slavery or do whatever it takes to emancipate herself from bandage. Both INEC and the Judiciary are not living in another planet, when the people are ready they will do what is necessary so that in the end whatever comes out as a country whoever survived will have a country they will be proud of.
Hundeyin stands out because he is a deep sea diver professionally. Outstanding, Truthful, integrity, reliable reportage, thorough......Many cannot take the risks he has taken to throw light on this CSU saga.
Sir I always admire your position on very many issues. May the good Lord keep you strong for us. You are very correct, if anything happens to David they have us the Nigerian youths to answer.
When Peter Obi went to visit Wole Soyinka months ago, he said he went to thank him for the efforts he made for the Igbos during the war. I just heard that he went to prison between 1967 and 1969 for supporting Igbos. That was a lot and glad that Peter Obi went to appreciate that
@anthonymark5758 First, answer your father's name, and be proud of your heritage before coming to educate me. May be you're one of those Naija folks who are ashamed of their heritage?
Wọlé soyinka was not fed with lie, but merely living a life he told to himself due to lack dignity at old age. He was unduly accorded respect because we did not know him
Thank you so much my brother, hero and patriot for always speaking the truth to the criminals in power parading them selves as leaders may God continue to bless you.
Thank you bros. I totally agree with you. Respect for all and excuse those that are not ready to face reality. I totally disagree with anyone insulting prof or anyone. We can always speak the truth without been disrespectful. Just like David, is he the only one that knows the truth? But he is one of the few that is out there speaking our minds and we should make sure to support him. Well done bros
Jesu Christo Dele! Not only was your voice, but your words also, were soothing, as is always with you, you were very analytical, making it obvious that Proff Soyinka crossed the boundaries of truthfulness into the realms of fantasy to push forward bladderbash as truthfulness. He opened himself up to ridicule and had been bashed enough. I will, in difference to you, reserve my irritations with him.
You speak the truth Dele and I commend you for that but I disagree that Soyinka was lied to. He did it all by himself for whatever reason. It sounds as if you have so much respect for him that in spite of the awful lies he told you are making excuses for him.
Dr. Farotimi, I have tremendous respect for you and what you stand for;, the life of honesty, truth, uprightness and the moral conscience of the nation, together with the same David Hundeyin ,Rufai of Arise TV to mention but two of the younger generation . For Prof. Soyinka's unfortunate and deliberate lies, I don't have any apology for reacting strongly." Actions and reactions are equal and opposite. Our people do say when you fetch fire wood full of ants, you intentionally or inadvertently invite lizards for a visit.I had always respected Prof. Soyinka until these last days, for inexplicable reasons he decided to throw in the mud all the reputations he spent decades building for himself. The weight of profs lies is so heavy and deliberate that they can't easily be ignored. This has nothing to do with who he chooses to support, which is his right but why the mischief and the lies? Juxtapose what prof. Osibanjo, the immediate past VP said about the elections and what Prof. Soyinka said, both men are profs and I believe both men in one way or the other are close to the INEC imposed drug lord in Aso Rock. What you will easily observe is academic prominence with morality and academic excellence devoid of any iota of morality and conscience. Any body who couldn't see and condemn all the evils that happened in the charade called elections last Feb. and March independent of whoever he/she supports needs moral and spiritual deliverance.
Thank you so much for always speaking up and standing by the Truth. My respect for you will remain unwavering. Truth is truth no matter how it is coloured and manipulated to suit their pay master. What happened during the presidential election and declaration by INEC is a rape on our democracy and the dignity of Nigerians who want out of this canivorous govt that have held us back for decades.
It is important to recognize that Soyinka's portrayal of the Obidient has stirred controversy and discord. While there may be disagreements over his representation, it is imperative to engage in critique with a sense of respect, aiming to challenge his ideas rather than resorting to personal attacks. Thank you Dele Farotimi for effectively doing just that as you succinctly address the contrast between Soyinka's perspective and our current reality. We are a product of Soyinka's past ideals while he seems to have surrendered we will continue to fight for a new Nigeria.
Nonsense! Irrespective of who or what you are, respect is reciprocal. Where was soyinka's respect when he spoke about Obi and the Obidients on different occassions? You want soyinka to be critiqued with respect that he did not accord others while speaking about them. 🤦♂️
...Uncle Dele, I will respectfully caution that you refrain from making excuses on behalf of PWS; he is completely aware of his actions as much as he has his motives. I understand that you hold the professor in such high esteem but at the end of the day ever man must answer for his actions. The Professor's age and level of exposure will make a claim of him being deceived to be an extremely weak claim, to put it very mildly sir. We are in such a time when clean garments are very rare and mud stained clothes are as worn with elegance by those who ought be to looked up to! You sir, remain one of the very last few "elders" that we can still draw courage and inspiration from. May the Lord keep you whole and unstained till the end of your days. Live long sir!
Every one of us MUST do whatever that is needed to ensure that the criminal cabals running the affairs of this country do no harm one of the most patriotic, honest and truth loving youthful Nigerian whose only desire is to have a country that all us will be proud of, a country that can work for every Nigerian, not a few selected criminals.
Nobody should blame Professor Wole Soyinka because he is fighting with age. Prof. think well and nevet support injustice when he was mentally fit. Atlest we remember his past deeds. As an Igboman, prof. remain one of the World legends. I remain his fans forever.
Dele Farotimi, always on point. It is not true that the Pyrate Confraternity believe that P.O came third. In fact, they believe he won, but was rigged. They will only say such base on what Yakubs INEC declared. We know a few people misleading prof. Secondly his constant attack on the Obidients must have been as a result of OBJs public support for P.O. We know both of them are always at loggerheads. This will make it very convenient to convince prof W.S about the reality of the political situation/tension. 💯
A man who cannot stand up to his friend when his friend commits a crime lacks integrity himself. Show me your friend and I can estimate your character. Evidently whoever plays with the pig must be ready to roll in the mud. Professor Soyinka has decided to sacrifice his integrity on the altar of Tnubu's friendship and patronage.Quite disappointing to be honest.
Did you listen to Farotimi? He was in prison years ago, you don't know what led to his incarceration? The only thing I concede to you is that people change.
U cum to understand say people wey dey mention tribalism na the real practitioners. People dey talk stupid things daily, but instead make we clear dem where dem loose guard (ignorance, lack of research etc, becos em no be ur tribe u accuse am of tribalism. This word (Tribalism) now on everyone lips.....now its causing more damage.....people cum dey practice am live. How e take reach dis level?
Since the deadelection, I always say President Select. Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when the weakest beared rule, the people Mourn. Nigerians are in Mourned
I understand Dele Farotimi's parapoistic reverence for Mr Wole Soyinka and his hesitation to dish out the repudiation appropriate for the prof with the tarnished reputation and credibility. Agreeably decent Nigerians should move on from those whose true nature have been exposed by what happened in the aftermath of Nigeria's presidential election.#ALL EYES ON THE SUPREME COURT. The work ahead is too important; taking Nigeria out of a failed status and bringing it to the comity of civilized nations with strong institutions and productive, safe environment. This future doesn't belong to the septuagenarians who paticipated in various ways to destroy the country in the first place.
😮I am an Igboman residing in London. My brother all you are saying is true but if I should be honest, Buhari should be blamed more on the situation of Nigeria today. Buhari brought Nigeria 20 years back. Tinubu with uncapable hands that full in his cabinets can't do anything to revive the economy. My observation towards Tinubu is that he only wants to known as once a president of Nigeria.
@@emmanuelonwunali I agree with you that times are hard for the majority of our people. I also agree with you that age and wisdom are not mutually inclusive. What I don't agree with is this idea that good governance only means cheap things. Absolutely not!! Good governance also includes the capacity of an average person to afford their needs. If you're enlightened enough, you will know that capacity is never an overnight subject, hence the famous phrase "to BUILD capacity". IT IS BUILT!! That is why some of us are never neither interested in nor impressed with this messianic narrative people like you and Dele put out there. You can always have YOUR truth but it will never be right to force it down the throat of others!
Soyinka is street wise, and not fed lies. He has been in the streets, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to nurture and build Pyrates Fraternity / Sea Dogs for about 50yrs. Na Aruba de man be o!
