This is X-men evolution. This was found in season 4 in the last episode. DISCLAIMER (I own nothing except the title and credits. Everything belongs to it's rightful owner)
This was one of the greatest x men adaptations ever. I hated that they didn't another season because the writers were planning on doing the story of Jean becoming the Phoenix. That would've been awesome!
to be frank, you see they were planning on introducing Emma frost and hellfire club before that. then they are going for the phoenix saga and then the dark phoenix saga. so they got it all covered in the right order.
"And with a heavy heart, i saw the dearest of friends become the most terrible of enemies." I've never forgotten that quote! Jean grey/phoenix was my favorite character
How do you just deal with something like that, knowing full well that there isn’t anything you can do. How do you accept that. I say no, but of course they didn’t make the effort to change anything, because of it seen as either an impossibility or so on and so forth.
but he and the x men did went against the avengers before, yeah jean did die but not from her power, cyke, emma frost, prince namor, colossus and his sister magik has the power of the phoenix but at end they got their butts handed by their own student hope summers with a little help from wolverine and the avengers, they fought years back in the comics
in the comics, Scott changed after his little fusion with the Apocalypse. probably because Xavier saw a glimpse while Scott saw everything, which would make him a precognitive mutant.
Season 5 was really gonna show it all. - Jean Grey died - Danielle Moonstar joining the team and Iceman officially graduated from the new mutants - David Haller’s return - Introducing Bishop, Emma Frost and Psylocke Dude, sad they didn’t continue.
Dude I can’t believe bishop, Emma frost, and psylocke didn’t make an appearance in this series how can that be they ended this too early thanks viewers for lowering the ratings
Kathryn Henckell According to supervising director Frank Paur, had the series continued, Jean would have gone full Dark Phoenix, leaving the field wide open for Cyclops and Rogue. In fact, in the last episode, Professor X gets a glimpse of the future, and the audience is shown a shot of the future X-Men, with Rogue and Cyclops standing a little too close to one another. Paur insists that this was not an accident. Now even more so do I wish season 5 would have happened.
X-men is ill-suited for movies I think. It has so many beloved characters and stuff, that it really needs a series to give them all some prominence and a day in the limelight.
@@marvelfanatic9535 that would be an interesting spin on that iconic moment. Carol, dying from fatal wounds orders Rogue to take her powers and finish what Carol started.
Man this part and Professor X's monologue at the end of the first season gets me teary eyed. It makes you think that no matter how many obstacles will be in our way there will always be people ready to fight it. I really missed it cartoons gave you this level of optimism.
When Rogue flew in at 0:55 I was beyond excited when I first saw it. I absolutely loved it. What a moment. Damn shame we never got to see more of this great show.
When I saw that I screamed I was like whatttt yes she can fly now. And since jean is my favorite out of all X-men when profesor said with a heavy heart and I saw jean turn to Phoenix was almost in tears
Jeff Extreme she flew right next Scott to that wasn’t on purpose that was intentional. From with the director said they’re in a relationship in the future.
There would be no point in running 2 x men shows at the same time. Especially when 97 has better art style. Maybe a reboot I could see but they would never
As someone who grew up watching this series daily for years just before going to school in the early 2000s, it is impossible to watch this and not get teary eyes -- this series was amazing and still is to this day and it is a sad thing that we never got a S5 because it was cancelled...
This show was so amazing!! Would've been cool if they added more characters like Emma Frost Psylocke Mr. Sinister and maybe some of the Avengers since they showed Captain America
Anyone else gets emotional over this ending? X-Men always had a special place in my heart. X-Men was my gateway into Marvel. I love these characters a lot.
@@darthmaul3311 same for me X-Men has always had an important part that helped me get through hard times. Not being excepted because they're different, just like I've been most of my life to many others, but going back, reading all my comics, rewatching the series and movies, it always helps me remember that being different is never bad. For that, I thank the X-Men.
@@darthmaul3311 I've dealt with anxiety for years. My family still believes I may be bipolar, though it was never proven, so being different has been who I am. My cousin told me that the whole emotional instability they've seen in me made them think of Jean Grey apparently. I felt offended being compared to a girl at the time since I was a kid in a different era, but looking again at the comparison, one of the best mutants ever, I ended up liking it.
@@psyke_out Yea Wolverine was always my favorite cuz even though he got treated like an animal and ostracized as a mutant he stood strong and overcame his past with that being said don't give up on your journey in this life
ehh not really. X-Men TAS is more like an animation straight from the comic book stories and all. Plus, Xavier didn't really operate a school as what he was supposed to in TAS; it was just the X-Men living in a mansion and that's basically it. Also Jean sucks in TAS and she was powerful in Evo. It's a great series I agree but it's nowhere similar to being the sequel to Evolution :p
Sadly wolverine and the xmen were canned as well. Marvel just sucks at keeping their good cartoons going. Wolverine and the xmen was canned because of silliness with the animation company.
It wasn't fair that Charles said "some people never change" when he referred to the Brotherhood mutants. The fact that they joined S.H.I.E.L.D. is quite a big change indeed.
Every storyline adapted from the comics: 0:25 - Mutant Registration Act and increased anti-mutant sentiment 0:28 - Headmaster Magneto and the New Mutants 0:36 - Dark Phoenix Saga 0:54 - Rogue with Carol Danvers' powers 0:57 - The Brotherhood join the government as Freedom Force 1:04 - Nimrod and Sentinel army from the Days of Future Past
@@ShadowSonic2 Keep in mind that this series changed Juggernaut's powers so that he's a mutant instead of magic. Carol could simply be similarly adapted as one.
Only version better than the 92' x-men. This gave us great character development from start to finish everyone was so loveable. And the ending was perfectly summed up with no cliffhangers. This ending makes me tear up everytime
This scene was so intense, especially when Proffesor X is talking about the dearest of friends becoming the most terrible enemies. It's heartbreaking what happens to Jean, she never had a chance. One of the saddest things about life is that this really can happen. The dearest of friends in our lives can become the most terrible of enemies. It's a very tough pill to swallow, I've been threw it & it's like a piece of your bare heart being torn apart not out of your chest, but it's like it's being torn apart in the inside. You always feel it too because it's like an amputeed limb, even when it's gone it's like you can still feel it. Thankfully I have very dear friends that would never turn their back on me like those before them did.
@@pedrogabrielduarte4544 He probably didn’t know the alcohol would kill him that quickly. He died 8 days after his father died so he was probably grieving. To deal with the grief he most likely drank since he already had a drinking problem. He had this problem for years so his body was already messed up. He probably drank so much those 8 days and his body couldn’t handle it anymore.
Just finished the show after rewatching it on Disney+!!! I loved it when I was a kid but I did not realize how amazing it actually was until right now that I am an adult! Incredible show!!! Great writing, character development, plot, everything!
It would been awesome to see what this series Phoenix Saga could’ve turned out. It’s also a shame that Scott’s voice actor is in the great Mutant Academy in the sky.
ItsZachy Yesss here!! They removed it from youtube but I was lucky enough to binge watch everything in 2019!! Big fan of lancitty too!! Would've been cool if the lance/kitty/colossus feud began
U don't kno how pissed I was and still am that there will not be a fifth season. I mean its rare a show gets cancelled then comes back. But this is x-men, who doesn't like x-men. It was the BEST Marvel series to me.
im with you, I used to watch this show with my mom and i miss it now adays im always mad like a never dieing inferno but watching this show makes the anger go away with a few things.
I think X-men Evolution ending after 4 seasons was a good decision. In my opinion, the show peaked in season 3. This was a sorta "and the adventures continue" kind of ending without having an annoying cliffhanger.
Yeah, X-Men Evolution's finale feels like a pretty fitting place to end compared to something like Spectacular Spider-Man's ending. It was just right amount of closure for me as a fan.
Just finished watching the whole show. And it was amazing! I’m doubtful that X-Men Evolution will ever get a fifth season. But we can at least take solace in the fact that we have this incredible adaptation of the X-Men to start with.
I loved X-Men evolution. I truly believe it was one of if my the best X-Men adaptation, and I truly wish that they had a season 5 and continued the story.
I like this show so much! It was the best show with X-gene ever! And when Proffesor X said that the X-men will be always there to save the day and he is proud of that I cry.😢
FRISHR that doesn't make sence than becuase wouldn't kitty be a part of the x-men at the beginning and they don't know who colossus or nightcrawler or angel are and x-23 and spyke arn't in it
No, I think they belong to their own alternate timelines. The reason is because in the 1992 x-men, when magneto tried to help beast break out of his jail, beast mentions he never met magneto but assumes that is him, but in x-men evolution, beast and magneto knew each other well and worked together in season 4 to stop apocalypse. So if the 1992 x-men really did happen after x-men evolution, beast would've known magneto due to his experience working alongside him in evolution.
when evolution was hittings its strides, it did a greater job of story telling than tas did. Evolution is certainly the blueprint to getting the xmen into the mcu.
1:01 “And of course, I saw some people never change.” For some reason, that line hits me the hardest. We see Lance and Wanda show the most humanity out of the Brotherhood which makes it sad they’re still caught up in the same brotherhood schemes.
Today I finished rewatching X-Men evolution and I have to say it was a pretty good show! I really do hope they bring out another few seasons in the future 🤞
After seeing episodes intermittently as a kid when the show originally aired, I've been binging the entire series this week and I finally finished it tonight. This show is truly something else. One of the best versions of the X-Men, period. For my money, some of the best versions of the characters, period. So grateful that it exists and that despite its ending much too soon, it never lost any of what it was throughout. I watch it and I feel the same kind of freshness and excitement nearly 20 years later. I hope everyone involved knows that they were part of something special. And I sincerely hope that the MCU is taking notes from this show for their future X-Men films. Long live X-Men: Evolution.
Love this show. It must've been hard for Charles getting a hug from such a good friend, knowing that someday she would be the enemy, and Jean doesn't know about it until it happens. One thing is confusing me, though... TV Tropes claims that Jean isn't in the ending card at the end, that she's dead. But she's right there between Scott and Rogue! She's still alive in the end.
I loved all of these characters. So far, they're all my favorite versions of the characters. I especially love the Professor in this series. He had an amazing sense of humor, had really great moments of caring for each person. One of my favorite Charles Xavier scenes was in the series finale when the Professor was about to go off against Apocalypse and he and Jean had that discussion. It wasn't a moment between student and teacher, it was a moment between a kid and someone who was basically her parent for who knows how long, I'd imagine a good couple years. Their VAs really sold that scene for me. I wish more versions would do that. I don't need them calling the Professor dad or anything, just have little moments where they have parent/child moments. Even if they're adults they can still have those moments. Heck, even if they meet the Professor as an adult they can still at least have family moments.
I love a lot of the iterations of the characters. Nightcrawler and Shadowkat actually act like kids(most iterations of Kurt have him as a bit more serious character), Jean and Storm are shown just how powerful they can be, Cyclops is shown growing into a leader, and best of all, Wolverine is a grumpy, caring uncle in the group and he doesn't try to go and have relationships with girls ten times younger than him!
best way to end it, not showing the actual Phoenix Saga or doing the X-Force with Cable, just saying "I seen the future" and hint at it, brilliant move on the writers part. Because lets be honest, as fans we would bitch about it no matter what they do. We hatex X-3 and when the new movie comes out in 2018 or 2020 we will hate on that too,
Silent Gamer2015 well yeah x3 was just bad though I liked xmen apocalypse and days of future past I hope they do better than they did though, xmen Phoenix saga in the 90's was the best though
No the problem was the fact that they did the Phoenix Saga in just one movie, both times. The Phoenix Saga is a SAGA. It should never be adapted into one film. It should be a trilogy or at the bare minimum, a long two part film.
I might be in the minority but I enjoyed every x-men movie ever made except for the wolverine which was trash. Out of all the marvel franchises id say the x-men movies were easily the best and the only ones worth watching again with the exception of endgame.
Foreshadowing: While hugging Jean, *Xavier looks noticeably saddened.* In the next scene, he talks about his visions, so he knew then what will happen to her in the future.
This is how you end a show! You give people something to reflect on instead of dragging it out. You could tell that X-Men Evolution was gonna be great just by looking at the 2000 promo alone. 21 years old and still a great memory...and for that I am proud.
I miss this show. It wasn't perfect but I loved it. They really made you feel for the characters. I wish they would've gone into more detail on some stuff and brought characters like Irene or the New Mutants around more often but even still I loved what they did do. Heck, they gave us X-23. I'd like for the staff to do something like this again or even a sequel series. Also, that ending speech, I love the ending speech.
0:25 Clip 1: The mutant protests are in full effect. 0:28 Clip 2: Magneto turns over a new lief. 0:36 Clip 3: Jean becomes Phoenix. 0:50 Clip 4: Colossus & X-23 joins the team, Rogue gets Ms. Marvel's powers & the X-Men enters the Ultimate Era. 0:57 Clip 5: Scarlet Witch, Toad, Avalanche, Blob, Pyro & Quicksilver becomes the Freedom Force. 1:04 Clip 6: Nimrod & the Sentinels are on the scene as they start Operation: Zero Tolerance. 1:08 Clip 7: Gambit joins the teams as the X-Men & The New Mutants becomes one big family.
Just finished this series again. Disney should have continued this version of the X-men. Best blend of mutants, fresh stories and potenial for Spin offs (x-factor, new mutants, x-force, x-men red/blue/ gold) . Would have loved to see Polaris and Havok get together and see Dani Moonstar on the team. They have plenty content and bad guys never touched ,this could have gone on for years.
They did nothing with Dani and Jubilee faded away after the mansion blew up. Magik would open the door that would have lead into different deities and the existence of Magic, alternate realities, dimensions, time travel. @@Mauricio0973 The Phoenix 5 would have been cool to see and No more Mutants in this adaptation.

Dani was in this show. She had about one episode solely centered around her when she was unknowingly haunting the mansion with her psychic powers until Shadowcat found her unconscious underground. Plus she's in a lot of cameos throughout the series as part of the younger students (with Iceman, Jubilee, Magma, Multiple Man, and Boom Boom).
It's so fucking bootleg that we were robbed of having more of this amazing adaption. This honestly was my introduction to Xmen when I was younger... I didn't even know this was the last episode when it aired, so knowing now the fact they had more planned makes me depressed.
I wish they continued the show; we could’ve gotten a 4th or 5th season. Season 4 could show the X-Men being more experienced and older and we could’ve seen the Dark Phoenix saga. Season 5 would’ve brought in Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club and we would see the Sentinel program kick off as well
