Just watched your full sleeper pond build and wow looks amazing and when i get round to building my own ill use this as a guide. The best information and great video's
Thanks, bit of a long one for me. Thought I'd wait until I had a few bits to do a decent length video for once this time, with baby due soon it may be the last one for a while. they have grown really well this season Hopefully got another month or so of good weather left aswell 🤞
Cheers buddy. Super pleased with it. I'll sort it one day. Its on my list of things to do. But with a baby due in 8 weeks it might have to stay a mess for a while yet..
Good update Don't be too hard on your self. The drum should have a sensor to stop it if the water level gets too low, it's not hard to do and given the cost and consequences, it should be standard kit.
It dose have one. So it only drops so far then cuts out. Still annoying when it happens but touch wood its been find for months now I've Mande the changes to my setup
Nice update Danny😊👍. Glad to see you back with a proper video👍😊. Fish are looking good and nice new additions 👍😊👍. Nothing wrong with those fish feeders, excellent value for money and rock solid compared to others on the market👍😊. Shame about the mouth on the Kohaku☹️. Keep up the good work👍🐟🈲😊
Cheers mate. Might be the last proper one for a while. Got a baby due very soon. Fish have done really well this year with the extra heat and good food. But concerned how much it's going to cost over winter with the new energy prices but we will see. Hope all is good with you and your pond
Fish and pond are looking great. Too bad about the jaw issue with your kohaku. I have a large (69 cm) soragoi who also has a jaw issue and has had it for as long as I can remember. When it eats it appears that the jaw dislocates somewhat but after about a minute the mouth goes back to normal and all is well, thank goodness. Love that kohaku that you featured at about 2:39 in the video. Shiroji is so clean and the hi a deep red. Superb fish. 👍🏻 👍🏻 👍🏻 Cheers.
That's very strange. Atleast it pops it back in. Guess maby it's a genetic thing as I don't see how it can have injured itself. I tried my best to get it back in but couldn't, all seemed very swollen. I was planning on moving it on soon anyway so just gave it away in the end. I'm pleased with that new kohaku, hopefully it grows well. Fingers crossed we get another month of Decent weather still 🤞
Great update mate. I've given up on MYOB n just put artificial plants in my shower. Try fitting an stc to your remora then u can control the temp all the way down to lower temps. Koi looking huge 👍🐟
Might do the same actually. Real plants are too much like hard work for me 😂 I'll look into the controller. The remora dose let you set it down to 8 which is probably low enough for me. Will see how it go's. The price of electric is getting silly
@@dannycurrie1 yeah the other Dan on discord told me to do this last year n Barry rip had done this too. STCs are about £15 and are easily wired in i set mine to 4 or 5 in the winter prior to that my dream wud only go down to say 12 degrees. Yeah im nervous about these energy increases tbh wud hate to get rid of the pond.
Nice update Dan, check out Jolley Koi's video on the fishmate feeder he shows how to work it properly you can feed as many times and units as you want 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Seem to be one of the most reliable feeders out there. 6 feeds is enough for me now. Then I hand feed another 3. Not done loads of fishing this this. Did go barbel fishing on the Trent 2 weeks ago. Had a brilliant day. 23 barbel to 11lb5oz a new pb
@@JohnJVHoey it's not to say they won't hold if there not interlocked but it's definitely stronger if they are. I would certainly advise it. There's no reason not to
It shows how much media is needed to get the food into these beasts EA are so off with they prodictions it's unbelievable but 480 grams is still a good wack of food stocking levels plays a big part not numbers but length of the fish in the pond im not sure why nobody talks about that
Exactly mate. There way off with that they say it will handle. I'm looking to reduce my stock a bit as they want to eat more than I can feed them. They have grown really well this year but might slow down next year with the extra biomass now there bigger
