Profiles host Mickey Burns interviews the late great Captain Lou Albano, one of the most popular figures ever to emerge from the world of professional wrestling, in this episode teaser. For over 50 years Captain Lou has been an ambassador as well as a strong defender of professional wrestling. He was the most hated man in pro-wrestling and eventually the most beloved.
In the 80's, Albano increased his fan base to include millions of Rock N Roll fans, as the man in the middle of the Cyndi Lauper rock and wrestling connection. Captain Lou would go on to star in all of Cyndi's extremely successful music videos.
Filmed in 2006, the great Albano passed away in 2009 - marking this episode as one of his last in-depth television interviews before his passing.

You can't think of the 1980's and not think of Captain Lou Albano. His loud scruffy voice, the rubber bands in his cheek, the big Hawaiian t-shirts. Haha!!! He was iconic!!!

Lou Albano should have been Super Mario in the movie, Bob Hoskins was a joke. That whole movie was a joke actually, so maybe it was better for Lou to not be associated with it. What a disaster that was haha!!

That lady is so beautiful. I remember when I saw the debut of Mario I popped like a psycho for Captain Lou. I love how he is selling the business even after his career.
