He died in a nursing home in Florida meaning he must have been suffering with some form of dementia. You can sadly see the obvious that Tony couldn't hold up a mic and that Pete had to do it for him. At least they were able to get a good interview out of this and Pete saw that Tony didn't have the mental faculties like he used to have. Thank you Pete for handling a situation like this with love and care.

Everyone is talking about how it's sad to see actors age. I understand, but also, aging is a natural part of being alive. If we're lucky, we get to live a long life and age. Instead of being sad that Tony Sirico isn't immortal, let's celebrate the fact that he's still here, giving us his time, telling jokes and being a consummate professional! They are right about it being sad. It is sad. They feel for him losing his youth and vitality. And it forces them to reflect on their own eventual mortality. And you are right about it being part of life. The crappy part that we make our best efforts to minimize in our minds to find the happiness that is still around. But if we're lucky, we will remember the little things that were good.
