The best review of this product on the internet. Unlike the posers over at Fstoppers, Sal is actually a working photographer who clearly knows how to use strobes. Well produced video as well.
Ah! it's so great and inspiring to have a good photographer putting the equipment to the test creating amazing images, sometimes I wonder how Profoto chooses who showcases their products, I'm looking fwd to this light!
Great images as always Sal. I like the direction Profoto is heading with the inclusion of an app, the B10's small size and fact that they could be plugged in while using in a studio. Looking forward to adding some to my kit.
Great video thanks - pro product - wish I could afford them. Looks fast to set up and that's important - plus durability will probably be on another level to the Chinese brands.
Amazing images! Do you use the flash system in TTL or manual. I just purchased the B10 2 light kit and am still trying to figure it all out. Thank you in advance.
Sal!! So, I have been speaking with some of the other pros that were at the Alaska event.. Maybe you can help clear up something.. The real world power difference between the B10 and the B1X. Some are saying it's 1/3 stop difference! some say about 1/2 stop difference. This is insane, I just bought the B1X kit 2 weeks ago.. (still can return for 30days).. and am really wanting to know the real world power output difference, and I know you have both lights :-) Please let us know!
@@Behindtheshutter1 oh. Man! Lol. That's insane! Yeah I saw you got f/16 from that ferris wheel with the front diffuser on the ocf dish. And it was the white one too! Lol. Cool, thanks so much!
Can you throw up a quick video to show.. this would be AMAZING!! Here is a video where I have kinda gathered up all that I know so far: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yF8ZtxDVnsg.html
MSF Photography that was a tough scene. Prob took me 30-45 m to get set up because of all the different floors the light had to be moved to and tested.
I mean theyre great pictures but im hesitant about the power, it can fire through a beauty attachment and you still get f14 at 100 iso? Really? I want to believe it, just looks a bit far fetched...
you are very welcome!! enjoy. we have been doing some side by side testing with the A1, B2, B1, B10 - side by side to measure light output... pretty impressive what this thing can put out. enjoy!!~
price does not equal power. when you buy a car do you pay by the horse power? price is tied to many things - quality, construction, speed, consistency, color, etc etc. power is just one of those check boxes. if its your only check box - this is prob not the light for you.
I wouldn't say the fact it works with all the modifiers is huge? Be a bit none productive to make it so it will not take advantage of all the modifiers?
I know Sal is a profoto ambassador ( something like that ) but the price point for this is way too much. its 250watts at full power. same as the flashpoint / godox ad200. so you will be paying extra for the continuous light feature, the white balance adjustment , and the bluetooth function..!??! ad200 is $299 ( $30 extra for extension head ) profoto is going insane with $1600?? man..they going down the same road as.....#RIPBOWENS
If you earn dollars still it is ok but when you earn another country money it is almost car price. Light triger stand umbrella soft box.. They say global but they are kind of only eu and usa. Also dont like godox results. Like there is no middle brand around godox and profoto. Dont know what to do.
Too many reviewers are fooling you with profoto overpriced & failed marketing. Buy a much better system from ATG. 1. ATG 2. Cactus 3. Godox 4. Jinbei 5. Orlit 6. Rollei 7. Interfit 8. Paul C Buff 9. Nissin MG10 (ATG approved a complete set {ATG's 2.4GHz TTL and TTL transmitter} for less than $800.00) All are by ATG /or friands of ATG
Behind the Shutter, so you got the money to throw out on 250ws, over $2,000.00 USD! Here are the facts you might think you are wrong in pumping up Profoto. ATG vs Profoto. 1. ATG has ATG AF Assist Beam. Not a single one from Profoto. 2. Cactus RG250 with TTL transmitter has same power but less than $800.00. 3. Godox is the king from transmitters, speedlites to strobes. 4. Jinbei is a huge company. So good that ATG approved for Rollei. 5. Orlit got the approved by ATG with 2 years warranty. 6. Rollei, so you thought German made it. No it's ATG. 7. Interfit and Profoto transmitters are by ATG. 8. Paul Buff are really nice systems but non DC systems. 9. Nissin MG10 is better bank on the buck with transmitter that has ATG AF Assist Beam. Now, I bet you still are lost. But can always can do a search, if you think I am wrong.
Yes I do. I want best of breed. I want something that integrates an entire system. No different than a Mercedes vs Kia. So yes people are going to pay for better quality, better build, better performance.
Brother. Look st this thread. You want me to have some ridiculous argument w you about Canon vs Nikon. YOU Do YOU. There is something for everyone in the world. If profoto were so shitty they wouldn’t be in business and pros around the world wouldn’t use them. So I’m not jumping into some random argument about yours suck mine are better etc. if those systems work for you by all means use them. Nothing wrong w that. I’m gonna use what I use for me and my work. My work and results speak for themselves.
Colin Rogers thanks Colin for your utterly useless and unsolicited troll feedback. Feel free to share a link to your portfolio so the world can see how real photography is done.
