I just made a new key fob in less than 1 min. Toyota wanted $630 plus the cost of the key fob, another $100. I bought a key fob on Amazon for $70 and used Tom's Key for $65 and now have a spare key. Definitely worth using this company.

The hardest/longest part was watching the video. it took 16 minutes for the video 5 minutes to have the key programmed! Dealership wanted to charge me $425 to replace my smart key. Renting the programmer buying the key and laser etching came to about $210. This saved me $215.00. Include phone with app to program the device was a nice touch worked perfectly!

Very impressed. I thought this might be an ordeal to program our push button start toyota but it was really well explained. Took 10 min. Batteries in it and key cut perfectly. I just programmed a key for my 2013 Toyota Sienna. Worked like a charm! A cell phone was included in the kit so I didn't have to download anything onto my personal phone. The only thing I want to add to this video is that for me, the Bluetooth light on the programmer did not turn from Red to Blue UNTIL after I opened the X100T app on the cell phone. Slightly different but not a big deal in case anyone is having that issue. Saved a lot of $$$....tks!

Great customer service and professionalism! I had a problem with my replacement fob & Tom initially took time to try to help me resolve it. When that did not work they immediately sent another fob and this worked without any issues. I can't speak highly enough about them & will gladly recommend them to anyone wanting to save money with these problems.

Great job guys! I ordered a new key and had it cut and shipped to me just by taking a photo of my existing key. I got a new key FOB as well. Took no time at all after i figured out that I needed to connect the phone supplied to my home wifi. This is an excellent service. They even supplied me with OEM fob after we had some delay getting the aftermarket fob. Please let Mike help you out. Customer service is great.

Had trouble at first, but it was because I did not use a brand new fob. Tried to program a used fob from ebay and it would not work. Toms told me it needed to be a virgin key to work, so i bought a brand new toyota brand fob and it worked. Their support helped me through the process. Was a great experience. Thank you!

This worked perfectly the first time on a 2018 Toyota Sienna XLE. Two keys took me roughly ten minutes! Not to mention the support team reviewed my fob purchase and kept me from wasting money on a fob that wasn't going to work with my vehicle. Just finished programming a key on my 2019 Toyota Sienna. I got to say this was super easy. Everything from the start of the process to the end was smooth. Love the it took me just 5 minutes from start to finish. Saved money on programming and product key. Working with Rosario in customer service was great. Really easy process for programming my 2014 Camry. I had a slight problem where the aftermarket key fob I purchased (from someone else) had a dead battery. I sent an email to Tom’s Key for help. I discovered the dead battery just before Tom’s Key responded with different things to try (including the possibility of a weak or dead battery). Great customer service and you can’t beat their DIY pricing for key fob programming.

For those looking to program a key for their Sienna, I highly recommend Tom's Key and their programmer. From start to finish it took less than 20 minutes and that included removing any old keys from the van's memory and programing two keys. This is super easy and much cheaper than going through the dealership.

I ordered the programmer for a replacement smart key fob for my 2017 Sienna SE. The process took minutes and the supplied android phone made it a breeze. Thrilled...Worked great for my EV (Electric Vehicle) & saved $500 (Dealership) plus taxes/fee they wanted to program a new OEM key/FOB purchased, which is outrageous! Initially had a problem with Bluetooth pairing (don't know why) and within 10 minutes, my new key/FOB was programmed and tested. Dear TomsKey, Thank you so much for your prompt response on my question. We had recently moved and for some reason the extra key for my wife's Toyota Camry decided not to make the trip with us. So we were one key short. Then I came across a video for TomsKey and it caught my attention. My first fob was not working correctly but Tom's was great with working through it. After trying a few things, they sent a replacement and it programmed up immediately and works fine! I didn't delete any old keys, I just added another key and that worked. I'm really happy with it on my 2018 Sienna push button start. I tried a few places who either couldn't or wanted a lot of money to cut the physical key to match my original. I finally found an old locksmith shop who did it quickly and at a good price (outside the Fred Meyer in Lynnwood if you're around N. Seattle). Used to be locksmith kiosks all over the place but not so much now. A nearby safe and lock place wanted a fortune so check a bit for a good deal if you want your key cut. I am wrapping my new fob in aluminum foil and hiding it inside my car. Then Hide-A-Key the mechanical door key on the outside. Voila! If my regular fob is lost, stolen or broken, I can still get home. (If you do this, test that the aluminum wrap hides the fob signal by leaving your regular fob far away and getting a "No Key" warning trying to start the car. Also, remember to occasionally check the hidden fob battery. Tom's prices made the spare key "insurance" worth it to me. All told: Tom's worked out great.

Just programmed a new keyfob for my 2012 Toyota 4Runner with keyless start. Very simple process and quick to do once you have everything set-up. Could not get the app on their smartphone to talk to the programmer (may have been my fault), but just downloaded the app from the Playstore and used my phone instead. Literally takes a few seconds to program once everything is connected.

2020 4Runner: success! My mistakes along the way: Didn’t find that red blinking light (what?) and did not think it was a big deal. When I put my original key next to the push button, the car beeped. But there was no beep when I put the unprogrammed key there, so I thought it did not work. So I stared all over again. Also, I wasn’t sure which proc was the right one. Well, had I been looking at that red light I would have known it had worked. I was about to give up when, as a lark, I tried the new key and to my surprise it worked. Lesson: it’s hard to mess this up. I saved a bunch of money and avoided going to a dealership during this Covid mess.

This is such a great company! I rented a programmer to try on some used keys that I bought from eBay. It turns out that you cannot program a used key - you need to buy a new one. Anyway, they refunded me the entire rental price when it didn't work - even though it was NOT their fault! I will DEFINITELY use Tom's again!

Used to program a new key for 2015 Sienna w/push button start. Very easy and quick! Dealer wanted $175+tax to program a remote I bought from a 3rd party before I knew about Tom's Key Company. They have great customer service. I went through the whole process, got the programmer, fob, and phone. Unfortunately the fob wasn't programming to my car. I found out I had ordered a fob with the incorrect circuit board (so make sure to look up what fob your car uses). I contacted the company, they sent me a proper fob and everything worked great. They are true to their word. I received my deposit after shipping everything, including the wrong fob, back to them. Saved me a lot of money.

I can say this works 100%. I just finished it and it took no more than five minutes. The only issue I had was connecting the the programmer to the phone via bluetooth. Unplugged programmer from the vehicle, turned off bluetooth and tried again. I bought the key fob off Ebay and it works fine with my 2021 4runner now.

Thumbs up! I had accidentally ordered the wrong one and they were very good to take it back and send me the right one. I watched this video which was referenced on the page where I bought the key from. I basically just played the video and followed it along hitting pause now and again. Took about 20 minutes. 2019 4Runner (My security light was tough to find. Center console, bottom right) Just completed and it worked great. Note, in case it happens to you. After connecting to Bluetooth successfully, and Activation Successful, I did the Immobiliser step for the firmware update, and it kept saying Bluetooth Connection Failed, I turned off WiFi, but it still wouldn't work. I tried a few times, still no luck. What I had to do was completely close/kill the app from running, and then re-open the app. From there on it was flawless! Thanks!!

I gave Tom's a go for our 2021 Toyota Highlander. They did warn me that they haven't tried our vehicle and thus no guarantees. I was willing to take the time and risk given that the dealership charges $200. Unfortunately it didn't work out for us but I wanted to say how responsive the customer service staff were (William and one other person) were to all my questions and in a timely manner. I'll recommend Tom's to anyone in the future.

Great way to replace a key - used it for a 2018 Toyota Tacoma. The video is correct when it says getting the bluetooth to work is the hardest part. Watch the video all the way through before starting, there aren't too many steps and the app will guide you through the process once you've seen the overview.

Batteries+Bulbs keyless fob and programming for my 2013 Sienna is $140+$60. Toms is $124(on sale)+$60+5(shipping). Toms key even on sale is only $11 less and I'd have to pay the deposit on the programmer and wait for shipment.

Just used Tom's Key Fob programmer to make a new Fob for my 2010 Prius! It would not work at first, because there were too many smart keys assigned to this car. Once I erased the old keys the new Key Fob programmed in a minute. I was unable to get any live help, but their email and text response was reliable. My net cost was $169.90 after the deposit was returned. Seems like a lot, but the Toyota Dealer was asking $300.00.

I was worried about the piece of trash!😅I am buying a car online and it is only coming with one key fob so this is fantastic and I look forward to using Tom's Key Company to get a second key!

Mike Key Express quoted $200 for a new key fob, programming to get the fob to work, and cutting the emergency blade key. They are located in Pittsburgh PA.

I got the programing hardware including an android device with everything already configured and ready to go, all I had to do was to get the Bluetooth connection, it took me maybe 5 minutes to program 2 FOB keys. It is so easy even a caveman can do it.

Will this work for our 2009 Toyota RAV4 Base? Our remote fobs work but only one key starts the car. The chip in the key is the problem.

Probably, but that vehicle can be a bit tricky. Contact us via help@tomskey.com. Please send a photo of your vehicle manufacturing info sticker that is on driver's door or door jamb. Also photos of both sides of your existing key. We will see if we can help

You don't have to bring the other remotes into the house if it's a Toyota. You can turn the remotes off as follows: while pressing and holding the lock button, press the unlock button twice. Now the remote is off. To turn the remote back on, just push any button.

I can go to my local locksmith for the same price have my FOB programed. $75 is all it costed me, it took 2mins for him to program it.

Great price from the locksmith! You found an affordable option. Many places around the country are charging $250-$500 for a key.

Can you just add a key, or do you have to erase then add?

Not required to erase as long as your vehicle has not reached the maximum number of keys programmed (4 or 5 depending on the vehicle)

I have to say the video was a bit confusing as you already had 2 working remotes and then just added a 3rd one? So which one did you erase? I purchased a used Toyota and it only had 1 remote with ti, so I am needing 1 new one. If I understand correctly I will only need to activate the new one. No erasing necessary.
