Curious...Why didn't you just read from the PMR to the PC..Save that file and then download it to the Boafeng...save all that typing...? Still a good video on how to use a bit of CHIRP. Cheers.
It was more just to demo how to do it all manual to be honest with you ! I thought it may show the easiest way to do it ! I figured the more people that are able to do this the better out reach i can get to help people ! Appreciate the kind feedback !
2:52 I think that the radio uses sound as data, similar to back in the early 80’s when a pc modem would have a number if you dialed it, it would make a bunch of noise, put it in a cradle, you accessed it. I think this is similar to how this works.
Make sure the radio is turned on and also the correct driver is installed for the cable. Then on the port option click on the drop down list and it should show you a COM that is clickable
