I just purchased the autel IM608 and ppl keep asking me to do their reprogramming on replacement calve bodies etc. Unfortunately I’ve never used an aftermarket pass thru device and didn’t have a clue as to where to start. This video just shed some major light in a subject I thought I’d never learn! Very to the point and informative! S/N for a min there I thought I was listening to Keith DeFazio!😂
Matt, why can't we use the Autel jbox with the Autel tablet? As I'm typing this question, I'm guessing because it is not windows based and is an Android operating system. Is that correct?
That is correct. All OEMs require windows operating system (7 or 10 not all have approved 10). For J2534 programming. Now the factory tool stuff can get interesting on what you Program with.

I didn't realise you'd bought an Autel Paul? Or am I just assuming incorrectly? I was also thinking you could go in through the browser but getting the downloads to open might be an issue with Android?
The fact the cords are removable is why I like it! Being mobile I am awful hard on cords. I ruined one 70amp one because I broke the cables. It did take 3 years though.
Wow, That is one cool battery maintainer, and 100 amp output to boot. I bought a no frills IOTA DLS-90 with some custom 12ft cables for less than $300. No digital displays ,It works well but it is pretty much vulnerable to the elements used as it comes and the power cord is just made too short.
@@ranchorelaxo2287 ,one thing I don't like about my IOTA DLS 90 is the cable clamps always arc attaching it to the battery terminals. It seems to discharge capacitors. I have to hook up the positive one to battery first, then I touch the negative clamp to metal ground away from battery. remove it, wait for a couple seconds and touch it to ground once again and sparks again but much weaker, then I hook the negative cable to the battery clamp and then plug in the AC cord
When it comes to where the program lists the J-box choices does GM actually now list the Autel Maxi Flash (Pro/ Elite)J boxes as options or was field manually typed in by you at an earlier date to display all the J boxes you currently possess ?
I have the autel scanner with j2534. Does it technically replace a tech2 if i use it the way you used it in the video? I was thinking of getting a tech2 so i can flash gm modules.
I'm confused... You installed windows on your Autel? I've already tried using SPS2 from a laptop, and it can't even read the VIN on a 22 Tahoe, and programming fails every time with a communication error. Can I just use Autel's software and not SPS2, since the Autel can read the VIN and view live data?

RS1 I bought a used one off eBay. $450. Plus bought a used laptop that was comparable. $640 with tool, laptop and 1 subscription from gm. If your only doing 1, bring it to the dealer and have them program it
Do you need any type of autel scanner, I tried to buy one today and was told I'd have to register and link to a select few scanners, but I keep trying to figure why.
Hopefully you can help me. I am trying to program vis ACDELCOSPS and in the process it is unable to connect to my J2535 Autel tool. It says device is not there. When I connect my Autel scanner to it via bluetooth, I can communicate with the vehicle. When I disable the bluetooth to disconnect the scanner, and then use the USB cable to connect it to my laptop, I get the signal from Windws stating my Autel device is ready, but in SPS programing, it says it cant communicate with the Autel 2535 device. Thoughts? Is there an additional driver I need to download for the device?

hello matt. where are you located? I will like to go to your shop and do my car. I have the same car but I can't get to reprogramed the tcm. ir doesn't let me. it comes as x red mark not the green check mark. It only programmed the ecu. do you know what can be the problem?
Does programing a ECU also apply to TCU’s? I got a error code on my 2000 vw beetle of a missing signal from the TCU. I just bought a used TCU with matching numbers. Does the TCU need to be programmed for any reason?
Is this flashing the vin to the new tcm? I just did the same thing to a 08 chevy malibu 3.6 changed valve body and tehcm and reprogrammed. But it doesn't not start or crank and prndl doesn't light up as if any gear is in place. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. But if I connect my old tcm it start up quick.

My Autel J2534 won't communicate with GM sps. Connects to the laptop and MaxiPC Suite but doesn't communicate with GM programming software. Please help.
Nice video. Have a question on newer vehicles. 2017 Acadia with push button on and start. Is there anything extra needed to keep vehicle on since it has no key and wants to go in sleep mode after a while or is it a non issue during reflash
Ezkwip Equipment Videos some of the newer one you need to hold the button till the green light comes on. There is two lights on these styles on the push button. Take holding the button for 30 seconds
I know this is a old video .... sps has made a few changes to their site have you ran into any issues ? My autel will not populate on the tool selection list any ideas.

Why you said we can not use the interface with maxisys scaner? My question is .... if I wanna reprogram any Ecu or Tcm or any other module I have to use any laptop? Or a specific laptop for GM?

for us do it yourselfer,s that cant afford a nice autel system and are getting ready to rebuild the pressure solenoids in my daughters 2007 acadia 6T75 TRANSAXLE Can i take it to my local auto parts store and have the codes cleared and have the tcm relearned and the shift parameters reset

john catalano doesn’t seem to be much difference other than size and no antenna. The Elite from AESWave comes with the latest J2534 box and another interface. I got the supper small one with no cord. It’s fun to remember what car I left it in at some back day shops 😂
Doesn't matter if you get the model with the aerial because it'll snap off on the first use(when you bump it on the steering wheel getting out of the car)!
A jbox is almost a jbox. Cardaq offers some things other don't such as the toolbox 3. However, I do no own a cardaq. If you were going to spend money on one get the M. It has the ability to expand as the future changes.www.aeswave.com/CarDAQ-M-Kit-for-Reprogramming-p8978.html
We just tried 10/30/2019, it looks like GM is no longer supporting this, the only device it will let us select is a Tech2. The maxi flash isn't on the list and even the devices on the list dont work, it says "please contact the device manufacturer for technical support".
Great video, Matt, love the programming info. I wondering why the Autel vs something like a Cardaq? And do you have to partition your laptop for the different makes that you program?
Laptop has 5 partitions Drewtech right now is one of the best jbox we. The M is my choice. However, my go to is an older Bosch Mastertech VCI. It’s amazing jbox. I’m hoping Bosch releases a newer version soon
Haha I was expecting that Autel Jbox to fail miserably! I have one the regularly fails(albeit yes, it's with the tablet) & have been told on many many occasions to use the Bosch instead!

i bought the jbox maxiflash, i paid the subscription to GM for programming, but when im start to program, the gm software says ''OFF-BOARD PROGRAMMING DETECTED'' and trough me back, i installed the driver from the cd, the laptop that i used is kinda new with windows 10, maybe could i try with other laptop, and i've been reading that GM stop the compatibility with the jbox, is that true? please help, i bought the maxisys 908p and im very concern. thanks.

skuunker I only use Intel. Is the module you are trying to flash installed in the vehicle and connected to car and then your interface connected to the DLC
Mobile Advanced Diagnostics & Programming yes, is the fuel pump module! Yesterday i program the bcm without problem, but i cant go with the fuel pump module, i think the laptop that i used is too new and fast, im gonna try with and older one. what java version are you using?
