Agreed. Love Kwiksets animations BUT... I procrastinated setting up these locks for so long as I didn't know I needed to factory reset and then do left and right hand config! Lol
I spend so much time wasted on the factory manual on how to program this thing. Almost gave up and about to uninstall and returned to home depot. Until i watched this. He made it so easy to understand and so clear. Thanks for making this video.

Same! I swear i did all the same exact steps and it didnt work but when i followed along with him, it worked immediately. Which is somehow more frustrating hahaha but hey! I can use my lock now!
The thing that tripped me up for about 20 minutes was thinking the "Master Code" was used to lock/unlock the lock. Once I figured out its the code to gain access to the rest of the settings for the lock this tutorial was amazing.
I watched another YT vid on how to install the lock and do the initial programming. It worked perfectly. I then read over the instructions to learn how to do additional programming and was immediately lost. Your vid made everything so easy, and more importantly, covered the part about deleting the factory UC. Thank you!

So glad I found your video. I wanted my lock to go back to auto locking. I did the factory reset and the lock was not working. Didn't know I had to program it to lock. Got that done. Never gave a second thought to criminals using the factory 1 2 3 4 user code. Removed that. I'm a safe happy camper now. Thank you so much!
Kudos for this video, lost a lot of time with the instructions inside the box, simply didn't work. Tried factory reset a least a half dozen, didn't work. This video got me up and running in 15 minutes. Thanks

I purchased this lock 3 days ago and I had a locksmith install it today I’m so glad that I came across this video it has been so helpful I was able to delete the default UC as well as change the MC . Thank you so much for this video, explained in great detail and very easy to follow…🦋🦋🦋

Thank you for making this video and making it make sense. If you was to ask me Kwikset should have the link to this video on the box. And pay you of course a a respectable amount. I couldn't make sense of the directions they made them over complicated. Of course once you learn it just like anything it becomes easy. But for most of us this is are first time installing something like this. You made the process very understandable and less stressful with how you spoke and how you enlarged the process diagram. Excellent video! My lock came with only Spanish instructions. The install was easy but the programming was a little difficult until I watched this video. Good job!

Very helpful tutorial. Appreciate your humor with the cook who was fired for putting too much salt in the soup. I had trouble with your first step with getting the reset button to work. Not sure if you mentioned this but it only works in the unlocked position.
Awesome instructions. The little cheat sheet on backside of this lock is no good; it is cluttered to miss important first step for door left/right edge detection. This is the most important step to do before anything else, otherwise subsequent programming steps are useless! This video highlighted it for me to reset the lock successfully after batteries died! Thank you.
This is simply the most thorough and easy to follow video exclamation of this particular kwikset lock I have found yet. Very well done. I know 17 minutes is a bit of a time investment, but if you have this door lock it is well worth it.
