Looks like you have been busy with the new greenhouse and all the new stuff to get hooked up. I was happy to see the Tomatoes and peppers getting beefy and ready to put in the bigger pots. Here we have to still wait a bit it takes times to get warmer here than where you are. We use to have greenhouse around my way and you were able to walk through them to get your plants and I love that smell. The warm air on the cold days is such a treat. Sadly the kids of the greenhouse owners didn't want to do all that work and the owners sold the property. I went by there the other day and its all plowed under and the greenhouses are gone they were glass. I guess they will built more cardboard type townhouses. Since I was a GOOD customer the owner always threw in a 4 pack of herbs or flowers for FREE. Those days are gone and I truly miss that smell and seeing all the flowers on a cold & windy Feb & March day. I like those green flower pots with the holes, if you have a pic of them from last year let me know what video they were in so I can check them out. Now I am stuck with Home Depot, they are $$$ and the flowers have been so forced to bloom they peter out fast when you plant them.
Have you ever started your pumpkins in trays and planted with the waterwheel? We have been direct seeding, but just bought a new RainFlo for strawberries… and I got to thinking.
How do you get your petunia baskets to fill out with blooms? Mine are healthy and green i just feel like they aren't blooming enough but it also may take them weeks to really get going idk this is my first time growing them. Thanks!
Pruning is a good way to increase lateral branching. As far as the blooms, you may need to lower the temp a little to promote flowering instead of vegetative growth or depending on the variety most are somewhat day length sensitive. That said if you need to push blooms, you may have to do a night interruption... Ball seed has tons of good info online. Thanks for watching!
