You've made sure to let people know a bit about your struggles recently. RESPECT. You are my brother dude. This has helped me a lot... Remember that we all are brothers All people And beast and tree And stone and wind We all descend from the one great being That was always there Before people lived and named it Before the first seed sprouted

Good work. Modular is the way to go. Maybe add back the tape clip on each bag up high along with single bit or pencil pockets on each side of it,So you can clip a tape directly or tape pouch on either side since people run tapes strong or weak side. I run occi framers have been for 20+ years. I am right handed like my tape on the left and pencil on right. Took off the fixed tape holder on the right prefer the high pouch on the left. Just a thought. Cheers!!

Great input. Building out an experimental set for myself to try out now. I am putting the tape pouch up front where pencil/knife area typically is, and am thinking I might want to simply install a chip of webbing, and remake the tape pocket to allow for a modular placement... thanks for chiming in.

Thanks for sticking around. Time will tell... We'll be in touch soon, I hope. Going to start really trying to put together some "build along" vids in the coming weeks. We'll be able to see what some of the finished layouts are going to be soon... If you don't reach out soon, I'll get in your ear again...

Don't ever be ashamed. That's what idiots like me are here for. Saw you started following over at Instagram. Going to be directing people over there to be able to go back and forth 1 to 1 at first. Planning on doing a few setups for sale starting in the spring. Just now getting finished versions all worked out. Instagram will be the place that gets updates of that nature first from here on out. Pics and whatnot with what's available when it's time. Feel free to send a dm over there if you want to go over what you would need... Thanks by the way. Welcome aboard.

Other ideas; I like belt that are thin in the front it's easier to bend over. Good work

Thank you. Been playing around lately with 1.5" aka 35 mil webbing and buckle. Might be switching to the slimmer size as a standard for my 4 inch belt, and keep the 2 inch for the "framer"...

I hate how badger suspenders only have the straps to attach. I wish they had a clip in system for days it warms up and I want to lose the suspenders. I do like the 3 point harness system. Keep going you are definitely on to something. Custom built belts! There are so many configurations you could do, say if someone wanted the tape pocket up high like dback and badger. Badger is too deep I keep a couple stair gauges at the bottom of the tape pocket otherwise I'm digging for a 30'. Don't worry so much about colors being in the design phase. I'll even take some off shoot weird colored pouch off your hands🤷
@clovisprojectdiy

Each final decision I've made so far has been based on the way it operates. Been allowing it to find itself. I think you and I both know it will wind up being a metal clip style connector when it's all said and done. I left room for it with the belt being higher from the webbing, rather then centered... As per colors, you've been around for a bit. The masses are going to get what they get as far as that's concerned. People like yourself will be given some say in what they want. I appreciate you dude.

Hi, just got a new badger tool belt and I notice right away compare to my old one that the materials is more waterproof so when it rain I collect water in there quite a bit. I think a little drain hole would be nice. I live on the north west coast and it rain all the time here
@clovisprojectdiy
@clovisprojectdiy 4 месяца назад
If someone felt they needed that, I'd pop a couple holes in the pouches no problem. Thanks for the interest and feedback. Good luck with the badger setup. Rock solid build quality. The belt itself is the main inspiration for mine. I really like the way it doesn't have any webbing around it. Same way I'm building mine..

I just watched this video, I am definately watching along, I am really interested in the last version. Unfortunately this model sleeves in the front may not work, but I suspect there will be different versions. I like the open bags, and the sturdiness. For now, and till you get set up, My Badger Carpenter set up on Diamondbacks 4” belt will hold up till you get going and more options. My set up is as perfect as I can get, for me for now. It holds everything I need now, though not quite like I want it too, except for a large loop/sleeve in the front right side. I wish you the best in your journey, I am a small guy too, passionate about what I do and why I do it, and I love seeing other start ups, passionate about their creations and wish you much success.!

Thanks man! The mango and blueish Grey one was strictly experimental. Trying to see what can stack on each other... playing with sizing. Just finished up an 8" wide, side by side... not ready yet, but definitely wearable. I'll have another progress vid out soon enough. Hopefully, I can film out a build this week... I understand exactly what you are looking for. Sized real good for a tack er... occidental style all day..

Putting things up for sale really soon. Going to be nickel and diming over on Instagram if you have a profile or whatever they call it. I'll create accounts with cash app, and things like that as I need to for now. Not going to be in too much of a rush to start a website and go legit... My suspenders have a nice ring around back just in case you need to work safe on a roof🤣🫡

Wake up fucker, it's time to beast! I really liked the speed square slot on that yellow bag. Hammer sleeve.. on point. What I don't like about the Diamondback suspenders are the clips that attach to the rings. When I'm moving in and through trusses and tight spots.... sometimes, the suspenders will unclip somehow, and it's annoying. I loved the stinky pinky. My Martinez M1 titanium hammer is pink, and I drive that sucker like a man!! I like that you are figuring out how to make that hammer sleeve not move as much. Keep it up and let that free flag fly!!!
@clovisprojectdiy
@clovisprojectdiy 9 месяцев назад
My finished setup will be full on tan and pink. Baller choice on the hammer. I'm definitely going to be taking my time with the suspenders... It's not going to be hard to make all together. It's going to be about that just right hardware choice, or lack thereof.... Thank you. For real.

Add couple of gromit holes on the lip of the main pocket for a small caribiner, to hang gloves, bit clips. ear protection. I run Bager trimmer bags with an Occidental 3" nylon belt and a home made 3 point harness. The belt give me more options for my bag locations, I don't mind the old school buckle Ive been using one for the last 40 years. I would shorten up the hammer sleeve 3"on my badgers if Icould. You are doing a fantastic job, your pocket design looks great. Build a better mouse trap! Wish you all the best.,
@clovisprojectdiy

Thanks, Brad! Good idea on the grommet. Was thinking about adding a d-ring on a few things that would handle EXACTLY that... going to be implementing grommets and d-rings anyway with things, so I was figuring why not. Great comment. Simple and versatile. Some of the larger bags could do well with that idea for guys who need to clip in and tether tools when working at height on commercial jobs... There is a smaller brand, Rex Bags. They lean more toward that type of thing. Definitely keeping that in mind. 1 step at a time. Thanks again. All input is welcome...

Dude could you consider making a bag for sheet metal guys / metal roofers, carrying: Aviation snips (malco / midwest) Seamers (malco) Impact driver (with multiple bit holders (usually 6 inchers) and bits Flat pry bar (titan bar) Specialty scribe tool Torpedo level Hammer or soft blow mallet Speed square Trim square Writing tools (pencil, markers) Chalk box Measuring tape Ive been considering contacting Akribis in canada and TRU in Lithuania.. for now my occidental fatlips have been pretty amazing but they are somewhat like buckets and the snips kind of just kive in the big pouch on the right side.. Anyways, best wishes on your future endeavors and hopefully my comment can help spark some ideas on your products. (After seeing that you have a dedicated speed square slot, im willing to pay to have you develop me a prototype and ill be happy to test it out in the field.. i followed you on Instagram and will cut and paste this message to you in your direct message inbox.)

I'll check Instagram in a bit. Was going to suggest we talk there anyway. In EVERY single long form vid so far, I mention 6" wide "duck bills". That's what I call the seamer.... I'm thinking about you guys for real. It started as a speed square pocket the same as the left side(fastener), but I have since changed it up a bit by opening the slot up a bit. So far so good with it all... I'm very into some conversation. Looking forward to it.

Awesome. I hit you up on there. I'll make sure to keep in touch. Bit index is a STANDARD in my designs. I'll post a couple quick pics on there later today. Just strapped up a side by side for my left side yesterday. Not even dirty yet. Bit index in the main around the inner side of the outer wall on fastener sides all day. I use a good amount of 6's for bits as well....
