I think this video needs to be updated but it does give you a good understanding of what you’re going to be in for.The preload spacers are different now.

I think you should do a video showing a complete tear done and rebuild of the fork and then installing the monotube. I'm sure anyone doing this would want to rebuild and replace worn parts and seals.

They did the easy side... the left is under extreme pressure and for stock requires a special spring compressor.

Your videos are extremely easy to understand but you fail to show the Fork Cap Bolts (2) removal for removal inclusion.

Being that the oil is only used for lubrication, weight or oil height won't have any effect on handling (tuning)?

I'm doing this on a 01 Electra Glide. Do I use the original bottom cup? I can't get the 6mm Allen it to torque!! Just wants to spin inside!! Holding everything as should, but spinning inside!! Thx

Hi. I have a Sportster seventy-two 2015 with only 5000 miles. The front fork makes a clankc in extension and stains the bars a bit. I want to install these monotube. Should I change the seals or how these monotubes work with very little oil is not necessary ?. Thank you!

Just like your directions. not the best . edited out to many steps in the video, I don't need to see the bike going down on the lift. Need to do better.

Be Advised!!! Just spoke with Progressives Technical Assistance. Engineering Dept. Recommends no more then Two (2) Pre-load Clips. 714 523 8700 They only packaged Four (4) clips in my kit. Probable why. And this is a Progressive instruction Video.

I’m thinking this is a standard length kit and not a -1 or -2 kit

How often do you do a fork oil change?
@AriasUSAF
@AriasUSAF 5 лет назад
Every 10k
@michaelmagee4408
@michaelmagee4408 2 года назад
Depends on make and model. On HD Touring the Service Manual calls for/requires Fork Oil change and service at 50,000 miles. Then at every 20k miles after that (this is NOT stated, but experience tells that this is good advice and practice. See: "MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE near front of Service Manual. For the (ex) "2010 Touring Service: Maintenance" it's in SECTION 1.5 pp 1-11 thru 1-14

If you have all your tools not very long. Suggest replacing seals first can't hurt.
