A Mauritanian scholar who is a authority in islam, jurisprudence and fiqhi issues. His books are only in arabic and lived in a very bedouin lifestyle, in a tent without even abundant furniture let alone electrical devices to be on the Internet. He is great jewel of islamic tradition but most of his writings are only available in local arabic publications. Hamza yusuf tried to translate his works in english but his works are so abundant for anyone to cover. Only pictures of him available on Internet are from a twitter account where he is sitting with hamza yusuf.
