I guess the quiet part is them admitting that saying this stuff out loud was a mistake... when in real life they are too much a party of raging narcissists to ever consider admitting any mistake, ever.
@@edmunddantes935Actually the Old Testament prophets such as Ezekiel, Hosea and others railed against the powerful and the wealthy and those who exploited widows, orphans and the poor. Jesus was very much of that tradition. Republicans are against everything that Jesus stood for.

They also should preface with "Project 2025 is something the Republican party DOESN'T want you to know exists.." because I've seen some absolute dolt takes claiming that protesting against it is an endorsement of its policies and that staying silent will just make it all go away.
Or, since it's 900+ pages, note the page numbers for the headings regarding abortion, getting rid of the Constitution, getting rid of Dept of Education, etc., etc.
Nobody, I mean NOBODY! Speaks the cold, empty, black heart of the republican party like Steve Shives does. And its a damn shame that most Americans will never see any of this!
typical rightwing stuff. here in germany the far right party was surging in the polls prior to the EU election and their top candidate immediately started to talk about the SS and claimed they weren't that bad
I'm sure they are trying to cover part of it up. I have a feeling they've left a lot out of it that will be way worse than what we're even seeing. And every time they're asked about it, they lie and say this is false. This is false. This is false. Perhaps some of it is false and will be false up until the election is won --- Which we definitely hope it will be Democrats who win
I have been trying to get people to actually read Project 2025 but, 😅 most of the people who live in my area of Oklahoma are Republican so they don't read much!
@@glennhecker4422 right! As a Christian its not about centering around christian nationalism its about nationalism of a Christian nation and its disgusting
Hi, I’m from 12 days in the future and they DID, they said the quiet part out loud. Trump told his church group that they’d never have to vote again because he’d “fix” it! 😆
They already have their lawyers and the people that take care of elections in place there’s 70 of them around the country that are not going to certify the true election just like they tried on January 6
It's a good point about the Republican party being the same for as long as anyone's been alive. It's strange to me when people say the Republican party has changed, or fallen. I'm 44, and for my whole life Republicanism has been about racism and mercilessly crushing the poor.
The Republican party has never changed their goals and desires. They've only changed their messaging. They used to use more euphemisms and dog whistles. But now Trump has empowered them to say the quiet parts out loud instead, and for many people this is the first time they're realizing what the Republicans have been calling for all along.
There have been some good actors, but they get crushed by the hardcore neo liberalism. Obama himself said if republican party was less toxic he would have joined them instead
The problem for the “Republican party has changed people” (and you are right, I’m 41-it has long since stopped being the party that desegregated the most stubborn portions of the south the Reagan generation’s parents helped elect)-they didn’t realize what selling our futures for their tax cuts was actually buying. Every person I know who fell off the wagon from 2016 to now only gave a darn because they wanted not to pay their fair share like their parents and grandparents had. They fell for all the “welfare queen” garbage and horrific lying these guys peddled them. And now their granddaughters don’t have the rights their friggen wives had. And they are just now realizing what they did to their family by selling them out for paying 3% less taxes. However, some of them are still drinking the kool aid, like my parents-which kills me. Because my parents actually are relatively socially liberal-they have just let Fox News destroy their ability to think.

the fact that they predicted this possibility is wild and horrifying, im willing to bet someone had some insider information about the original blueprint they gave to Reagan during his presidency and could just SEE where the end of it would lead us if it were actually fully enacted.
Yes and in America we are spoiled. Our country is fairly new and we've been powerful enough that we've not had things happen from the outside. So we have not had other countries come in and take over with their culture and ideology and religion and that's usually how countries experienced a sudden complete up turning of everything they believe in live by and stand for. Not since the Civil War have we had that kind of conflict within our borders either and that's the other way that that happens in other countries. Neither have we had other than 9/11 and Pearl Harbor an attack on our soil and we haven't had knowledge from high school and public education about the things that have been committed on American soil like the Japanese internment camps or the Andersonville concentration camp during the Civil War and so on. And people don't know that after the Civil War a lot of the promises made weren't kept. So when you grow up in an environment where the bad news is suppressed and you've not had any harsh realities forced upon you in the way almost every other country experiences then you can think that the way we live is forever and the Constitution will always keep us safe even if we struggle a little bit about the finer points or the updates. But that just isn't the case and if we looked at the Big Arc of history and many countries we would see you can have a Period of Enlightenment followed by a slide all the way back into practically the Dark Ages or you can have technology and then be dropped all the way back to practically the caveman days or you can have professors and universities and culture and international context and then suddenly everything is wiped out in your back living on the soil and the professors and doctors and writers and historians and all of those murdered in front of other people and it being treated as a cleansing.. that happens and those people who survived that without being killed and up in concentration camps for the rest of their lives busting rocks and shoveling done with their bare hands in the dead of winter until they die of starvation and that's considered lucky because maybe there's a chance to escape. North Korea wasn't always North Korea and China wasn't always run by a dictator. So we need to know that this can actually happen and it can happen in the blink of an eye certainly within months or a few years and almost always when you look at the successful movements under Stalin and Hitler and all of those they started stealthily while people laughed at the leader as a buffoon thinking that that person had some kind of wacky Charisma for a few people but mostly was too outlandish to really draw much attention and certainly no power. And always they found out too late that that person struck a chord of suffering with him that population that made for a street and suffered so long. And so when you hit that streak of insanity those people are ready to blow Sky High and that's when you can have a revolution that ends up in murder of everything that has gone before and including the leaders of what has gone before and any basis for the improvements that have gone before like the constitution. Don't think it can't happen here and don't think that these people didn't gain extra inspiration from the handmaid's tale. Television show. They looked at that and already had a similar agenda and decided, "you know what? let's throw in a little more of what we see there because we like what we see and why shouldn't we go ahead and finish the job if that's what could happen because once it does we won't even have on the women opposing us.!! Heads up people-- this is real and it is immediate and it certainly could happen!!
And one of the saddest things that some of the most depressed groups in history are actually supporting it because they don't realize that they are Patsy's for that movement. That's your black Republicans and your gay Republicans and even your Log Cabin Republicans at least the younger idealistic ones who think they're going back to the real roots of freedom and rights for everyone in fiscal conservatism. But all those women who are cheerfully agreeing that women should not be leaders and they should not be given weapons and they shouldn't need Advanced education are supporting their own demise and don't know it. Some of them enjoy that and think that they're headed for heaven because it's the lifestyle they already live but they don't realize that once it becomes law that all women have to do that then they may feel a little differently and they may experience a lot more draconian details than their male partners and neighbors would ever admit they wanted until they actually have the power to force it on those women again. So if you are one of those women in the movement Thinking by golly I've been living the right way and these women are going to have to understand too you need to think about what else do they want that you don't even know about or that your partner doesn't seem to want when you're snuggling and doing pillow talk and holding hands in church but your neighbors do? And what does your partner your husband know about what your neighbors do one that he is not sharing with you for fear you would be upset order for fear you would say something in front of them and embarrass him for having a wife that has a little independent thought on occasion.
If you want four answers about when the GOP began its downward spiral, ask four different people. Some will say it started with Nixon, others with Reagan, others with George W, others with tRump.
I was a kid when Reagan took funding from public schools and mental health facilities to put more money into the military industrial complex! 😢

My humble opinion it started when they killed JFK. The country has been on a slow slide downwards ever since, and all the other guys that you named in this post are a big part of that
Very well done! Vote BLUE, people! Project 2025 is NOT a joke! This will be the LAST election if you don't vote BLUE, and NOT just the president...CONGRESS needs to be cleaned out and turned BLUEr at least!
The Democratic Party is insufficient, and *has* been for many, maaaaany years now. Their leaders will make a show of being in opposition to conservative values...but then go on to try to craft policy that's as bipartisan as possible. They quash, undermine, and/or subsume aaaaany attempt to shift politics to the left. Obviously another Trump term would spell disaster, as it would involve pursuing P25 policies, buuuuut, just as the Biden administration has continued and/or produced some conservative positions, some leftists like myself *fully* expect for P25-like policies to take hold, even under a Democratic Party president/administration.
Best one yet of an excellent series "If the Republicans said the quiet parts out loud about..." Problem is, they ARE saying the quiet parts out loud more and more, and mainstream US media just hasn't been listening, or at least not reporting it.
Yep. And hyperfocusing on Biden while ignoring/excusing anything from Trump. Why? Because Biden has signalled he's leaning left, and will go even further if he wins 2024... real bad for business if you're a corporation. Any corporation, even the news media.
You're too authentic. RU-vid picked up on the megachurch swindling old people out of their money and decided to play a church ad at the end of this video. 😂
Your reveal of Project 2025 is absolutely brilliant! I'm going to play this for some people I know who don't believe the old Republican Party doesn't exist anymore.
If they didn't want people talking about Project 2025, they probably shouldn't have made a website using that name. They probably also shouldn't have made the text freely available on that website.
One of the four pillars is a training program to fill positions with ideologues. They need to promote it to recruit for it. They are proud of the program!
My favorite part about this whole skit is that “Steve” is shouting down people who are putting their hands up, or responding in kind to his rhetorical questions. It’s a nice, subtle way of stating that there are some even in Project 2025’s inner circle so dumb/eager enough to give the game away in a meeting about not giving the game away.
I surprised my dad (a registered Republican) when I had him take a political alignment quiz and he found that his views were more aligned with the Democratic party.
I’m 63 and don’t remember that. At all. They have always been about crushing the middle class, the poor, black people and immigrants. Women’s bodily autonomy? Yeah. They have run on that since 1973. Did you live under a rock in Oklahoma or Arkansas?
Really? I'm pretty sure I remember about 60 years ago there was an alternative bill to the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which was championed by two Republicans, one even being a future president, and the main reason why it failed is because someone "said the quiet part out loud". Also, most of the ones who opposed Roe v. Wade since its ruling were Republicans. The progressive wing of Republicans pretty much died with Eisenhower, who'd likely be a moderate Democrat by today's standards. Hell, Nixon pretty much came up with the "southern strategy" and fairly conservative for his time.
I'm 32 and I have definitely seen how far conservativism has slipped into fully emotional reactionary politics. This used to be the purview of goofy, angry right wing radio hosts during like, the Bush era. My family is very much still mid 2000's mild conservative with bits of liberal, so I have a solid reminder of what used to be. Some things I agreed with. Now that flavor of batsh*t, hyperreligious insanity is normalized in conservative circles, and they think everyone **but** them has changed. But they will also happily tell you the Gop has "changed alot" post trump. They are out of their minds.
For search engine optimization, you should re-title this video: "Project 2025: If Republicans Said the Quiet Parts Loud". It was great. I want more people to see it.
He must have saw this and listened. Something I really appreciate nowadays. I love humanity when we listen to each other. Speaking of, i hope you know this probably got more people to listen to the scary nature of Project 2025. thank you. PROJECT 2025 is scary. PROJECT 2025 is bad for democracy. PROJECT 2025 is the beginning of the end.
I love how Shives gives his righteous rage to the Republican inner-party he depicts. He and they agree on everything except goals. He's mad at the inner-party's motives; they're mad at the outer-party's incompetence.
I don't know how, but this has somehow made me 1% more hopeful about the whole thing. Just hearing them-even a caricature of them-being genuinely worried, just realizing the fact that knowing their game plan (no matter how horrifying it is) makes us more capable of fighting them, just hearing someone say out loud that they can still lose... has reinvigorated me, however slightly. I was never going to give up either way, but you've made me more comfortable about that decision.
The tone that this whole thing was not asked for by anyone outside conservative think tanks and attempted to be forced upon American people is spot on!!!
And, if you try to directly talk about that "project" on RU-vid or criticize their leader they delete your comment! Shows what side this site's admin is on!
It's amazing that a cabal of freaks can literally publish the script to *_The Handmaids Tale_* as an actual plan, and hope no one (who counts) would notice. To hear him deny knowing about the document, which his own cabinet officials worked on, is so...typical. Depressing, but not surprising at all...
I'm a Brit, and I must admit, i didn't know anything about JD Vance. His comments about his hatred of trump, from just a few years ago, shows me that he knew EXACTLY who trump was, and what he stood for. What baffles me, if WHY he's now in the MAGA Republican party!! I just don't get it. There's a small part of me that wonders if he might be a "double agent"! What better way to gain access to trump, than to be his VP! Even if trump doesn't win, he'll be hearing EVERYTHING that's going on, in the next 4 months. I know! Fanciful thinking! But look how many of his staff left him, and have written books or given interviews.
@@cassandratq9301 I mean, you can't communicate the plan unless it is in writing. I'm just amazed they couldn't keep a lid on it long enough to get elected. :D

Scariest of all... These are just the sections they felt comfortable enough to publish... The more controversial (!) parts are being carefully hand carried amongst each other, avoiding email or filed documents, so as to avoid Freedom of Information Act requests 🤬
I just looked out the window to see a bus with an ad on it for a web page, created by my state's government, to help pregnant people avoid anti-abortion clinics. THAT is what happens when you vote blue! 👍
Thing is, this is literally true. That was perfect!! It is so scary and if the press and the democrats in congress don’t shut up about Biden, that will be the country we will be living in!!
I hope your voice and message travels far and wide, "from sea to shining sea" so that every American can finally make an informed decision. But that's all I have - a weak, wheezing hope.
