Feminism, the radical notion that women are humans. I'm old & remember all the restrictions women had on our backs since I was a child. the hate of feminism, lower wages, no birth control etc. It makes me feel sick to think all that work & effort was flushed down toilet by a woman VP's love of trans men. the younger folks don't know or care.
You’re not alone. I only have a daughter after 4 pregnancies who is a scientist. She can run circles around these Christian nationalists yet they see her only worth as being that of a breeder/human incubator. This is not the future I wanted for my daughter.
We'll fight to get them back. We WILL get them back. I'm pushing 40. I can't have biological children, and even if I could, the money and resources aren't there. What I can do is use my time in this world to fight for a better one; for a better present and future for us all. Alaska, where I live, has abortion protections in our constitution that are stronger than Roe v. Wade (if a true federal ban is placed, we're in deep s**t, but for now, we're solid); abortion was legalized here in 1970 and constitutionally protected in 1997. It's unconstitutional to restrict public funding for abortion here, and they're still available at all stages of pregnancy. Planned Parenthood is alive and well here. If anyone you know has a crisis, this place is still a haven for a woman's right to choose. Spread the word.
You should be. And I hope the White women who put Trump into the White House, by voting directly for Trump, voting third party or sitting home, understand that they helped Leonard Leo take our body autonomy away.
You guys still have white privilege you might. Have to dye your hair blonde and get some blue contacts. Other than that everyone will be at a disadvantage. Wow I’m watching

I am scared for myself and so many young women out there.

This determination to turn the US into a dystopia is just heartbreaking. I never thought I would see so many of my fellow Americans not only willing to move backwards, but actually throwing themselves in that direction.
Oh you mean like the dystopia we're living in right now with unfettered illegal immigration, insurmountable national debt and tech overlords that control the news narratives? That dystopian world or do you mean the hypothetical one you are imagining in your head?
So far, I don't see how this benefits Americans to survive better or healthier. In all 2025 is an appalling control of our lives and prevent middle and low income people from having success in their lives.

These sickos don’t care. I still remember one state legislature guy ask why do we have an exception for an ectopic pregnancy?. One, if you don’t know what an ectopic pregnancy is then you have no right creating laws endangering a woman’s life. Two, if you don’t know what an ectopic pregnancy is look it the f..,, up. So, they are equally ignorant of what medical issues are treated with birth control pills and equally incompetent to research it for themselves.
My Grandmother only got through elementary school because women didn't need education because they would only get married and have children, women didn't get the right to vote. My Mother was given the right to school but focused education on cooking, sewing and homemaking woman were not allowed to have credit, buy a home and jobs were mostly women focused . I am 70 and I remember that even in the 1960s and 1970s we were taught to be good housewives. My Grandmother said, women need education because we should always be ready to care for ourselves. The bottom line is women are equal to men, we can take care of ourselves I won't be told what I do with my body, my life, my choice in whether I have a child or remain childless. The religious right will create a huge increase in underage mothers, fatherless children growing up in poverty. If they plan to force women to carry every pregnancy they also need to plan financial support, complete mental and health coverage, parenting education, and child care. Will they provide any of this? Very doubtful.
No they won't. In fact P 25 will remove protections and support that are already in place. It removes tax deductions and other incentives. It's going to be bad.
A lot of kids dont realize women couldnt have their own credit card in early 70s. That one kinda drives home how delicate this catwalk of democracy and civil rights is.
Yes I remember also! And we could not buy a house or a car either without a male cosigning with us. I remember my mom looking to buy another home after my dad died and the realtor asked for my dad’s death certificate before he showed her the houses! We won’t go back!! 💙💙💙

Conservative women share and cherish the same rights as Democrats.
There was a time I could share this with my oldest granddaughter, but now she is in love with a trumper and she said she doesn't talk politics anymore or keep up with it because their views are so different and she doesn't want to disrupt what she has with him. I'm so sorry you had to go through that, me personally I've never gone through something like that but it's one of my biggest fears, just thinking about the fact that if I ever got pregnant as a result of SA and not have the right to do anything about it makes me feel horrified, depressed and sick, I don't ever wanna have children and I'll stick to that decision till the day I die.
Im sorry you went through that. Be strong. Many of women, even people who vote red typically are shifting to blue to help people that need it, women and children To add to your argument. It's not even just that! It's forced motherhood too. It's a lose-lose situation. They want women having forced births, AND being mothers. You are shamed for adoption, AND you are shamed if you are a single mother. The first chapter of 2025 says single mother's is one of the largest issues on their agendas. It makes 0 sense! It's just to further demean women and to make us seem less than.
@@hellod7961Then you might want to consider a tubal ligation before they decide to make that illegal, too, because you can bet that will be on the table by next year because “how dare you deny your biological assignment, from God, to have children”? If fetuses are people, they should be given social security numbers before they're born and pregnant women should be allowed to count them as dependents on their tax returns. Also child support payments should start during pregnancy and cover the woman's healthcare costs.
Conservatives only want to use this rhetoric to control women so women have to stay home and obey to men, not really treat fetuses as people. They even don’t want to provide any support to children living in poverty.
As 41 year old women, who chose not to have children. I had a health scare in my mid-20's, because I didn't want my children to grow up without a mom. I have had an IUD for as long as I can remember. I think that a lot of people have no idea and think that abortion is simply done as a sort of after the fact form of "birth control", not realizing that sometimes it's a necessary medical procedure if something goes seriously wrong with the pregnancy
My worst fear is being forced to complete a non viable pregnancy. I know that it would ruin my mental health. I saw a friend (before roe was overturned) chose to die for a pregnancy that wasn't going to work out. You might not be healthy enough to make it through a pregnancy. You can't get certain life saving treatments while pregnant.

My understanding behind motivation for Project 2025: makes the rich more rich through tax cuts, the middle class smaller less educated easier to control by getting rid of national standards for education, banning abortion= larger labor force to exploit.
When they use us up the rich will and do live in other countries with free health care. Billions they don't need to spend having currency in every country.

It's a sure-fire way to control women for a man's benefit. And that is all they are really after. For a man to benefit. Just think of the benefits to a man's well being when he can control a women to do all or most of his care and up keep. It still makes them angry that women have emancipated theselves from male control in the 60's and 70's.
I'm leaving this country. For my own part. I think even if Trump loses, you'll see hundreds of thousands of people in the capital demanding that Trump be named President. For the first time in my life, at 57 years old, I'm truly frightened about what could happen in the coming months
I did just that…I fled Murica’ just prior to Covid hitting the US. I moved to a small, socialist, southeast Asian nation. Haven’t looked back since. I hope that you are able to do this. The world is much more interesting and welcoming than the US media, politics and misinformed leaders want Americans to know. Good luck, friend…!
I want to leave so badly, but my family and I don't have the money to move. If Project 2025 happens, our lives will be in danger. No hyperbole. Get out while you can.

I used to live abroad and truly wish that I could leave the country and move to England where I also have family. However, visa regulations (working visa) can be extremely difficult to get in certain countries, and I sadly do not have dual U.S. and U.K. citizenship. The working visa in the U.K. is a tiered system and the amount of money I would have to make and show in my bank-account is outrageous, and really deters younger people from moving abroad. I am terrified by what is happening in this country as woman and member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am urging all my friends and family to get out and create a blue wave. Our rights as citizens depends on getting out and voting blue.
I’m 80, BC was just a option when I got pregnant in the 60s but only if your legal husband agreed. If it was a male doctor, which was most doctors then, it usually just was not given. Males cannot get pregnant, yet they were the ones giving the determination. That was an awful time and I eventually had to raise three children on my own. This way of thinking, we just can’t go back to it. Yes I love my children but their childhood was not the greatest financially.

As a single, childless, cat lady this whole thing terrifies me. I am single because I choose to be. I am childless because I choose to be. My sister gave birth to 2 perfect, and glorious human beings. My body was designed for children but would not function correctly for children. My lack of desire for children from my own body made my life easier. Some women cannot find comfort in not being able to give birth. I always figured if I was going to have kids I would adopt. My life never presented the stability I believed a child would need to be able to grow and thrive. I am elated with that part of my life. I do not feel God shorted me in anything. I was able to see 2 amazing people come into this world and grow into a future I can have hope in. It disgusts me that anyone would attempt to take my choice from me or try to force any other individual to live by my beliefs. There are just some things in life that will never be okay and slavery, whether physical, mental, emotional, or religious is always wrong.

Ofcourse women would never verbally say this, only secretly believe and enjoy this. I used to think women were mostly like men, and believed in enlightenment values. Thats become so painfully and obviously not true, women do not think rationally and use reason. Women lie to each other and make up justificiations for the most evil and selfish behavior. We have to protect voting rights, and Democracy Docket is a good source of information on what is happening in various states.
Also if you buy the argument that a fetus is a person, then fathers should begin paying child support from the date of conception. And the parents can take a child tax credit from the date of conception. And if a pregnant woman gets assaulted, now the perpetrator can be charged with the assault of the woman plus however many fetuses she has. This can go so many ways, and things will only get worse.
Let's be honest, these are "rules for thee, not for me". Men have historically not had to deal with these types of restrictive laws, or even social ire, so they will not have to deal with any of the potential ways these laws could negatively impact them.
All I can say is I grew up Roman Catholic and should have seen all this coming when our priest used to give sermons on how life begins at conception and that birth control is immoral. I had no idea that 8:30 the idea of fetal personhood was thought of before I was born. So I was important to pro lifers in 1970 when I was a fetus. 54 years later? Ahhh, not so much.
