I had a vts in the mid 90’s. I subscribed for nostalgia and have stayed for the quality of the content. This is a great series.

You will have fun with that thermatec gasket. It wouldn't dremel so I ended up cutting with sharp knife...

Mate, thanks to u and ur vids, I was able to do a restomod in my Citroen Ax with a 16v saxo engine swap, and I bought a Saxo that I'm doing all motor . Thank you for the hours of knowledge.

I'm very impressive with the alternator, now I'm learning the processes, feel that I could achieve the same goals, I have a garage, might collect the main parts first then then take my 106 vts, same lump as yours, then get my hands dirty again & start the build god help me! 👍🤔

Good to see your engine build progress! 19:20 I can only warn you about this type of magnetic drain plug though. Had one exactly like this - the magnetic tip came off the first time the engine got hot. The magnetic tip is only glued on. And the glue will fail, as there is very little surface area for it to bond. That piece coming off will most likely stick to the sump. But still an foreign object in the oil pan - probably don´t want that.. When you´re just about finished working under the car - then realize that little piece is missing .. best moment, haha!!

Hiya mate. Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for it. Engine will be run in then an oil change so i'll run it for that and then change for a more robust solution.

@@PROJECT5AXO If you want a magnetic plug - the ones from a MA transmission should have the same thread pitch (I think). Easy to get from scrapyard - will probably last better.

Your project looks awesome, especially the zinc parts. An advice from me, you have to trim more the little peace from the c2 intake on the engine mount side, because now you have clearance to install the intake, but if you want to change an engine mount on car with your engine in position you have to remove intake to have access to the Fourth bolt on engine mount bracket. I figure this out when i install the intake into my car with the engine in position.

have you got a link to that alternator set up? Also those valve covers are an absolute PITA to seal without leaks. You'll probably need a therma tec cam cover gasket. An even then a bit of RTV.

The best thing do with cam covers is to run the plastic jp4 ones much better seal And don’t leak also you have a breather on each cover

En 2012 Citroën avait fait croire qu ils aller la sortir bie turbo de 550 ch porche ferrarie on tout de suite répliquer avec la rs2 et la pista sauf que c était du faut mais c est possible avec ce moteur et les allemands et italien le savent ❤😂

With your dip stick when you fit it’s a good idea to get some wire and tie it down other wise you might find it pops out on boost and you can guess the outcome ! That’s talking from experience and happing to others I know, it’s a very nice clean build though
