Double cone chocolate topping thanks, started watching this at 3am. Could not sleep and wanted ice cream. Alas none in the house with this bloody lock down.
That now means inviting 30 drivers from across the country and a full camera crew and calling it social distancing . See children, this is what happens when men grow mullets.
@@ulukai_555 Good luck with that ! Not even the British understand the British accent. Adjoining counties, only a few Kilometers apart can have trouble understanding each other.
Shout out to Finnegan's garage, who forgot to put the boss's on when assembling the wastegate on like a 512cu twin turbo jet boat and had to figure out why it wasn't making any boost lol. My god that thing is a work of art
I am curious what the plans are. Only noticed since I just watched that episode of Finnegan's. I believe AVE forgot the back plate as well on a recent episode. Thanks to all these channels for keeping us sane.
I just re-watched Episode 7 "We're keeping the turbo........... Technology has moved on, we can get the same power from a much much smaller turbo" Fast forward 6 years.... 🤣
@@jonasthemovie Never did hold much store with Richard being the "dimmer" straight man. The man is just funky! Jonas, I think the episodes about the car's wiring were a world class lecture series on "howie didit". Richard could teach that in school and make them like it!
It's also unreal how talented the engineering and fabricating skills are here...we take it for granted as we're used to your high standard now, but that manifold job was unreal
And subtract tools. These blokes use their noggings and relatively simple tooling to make magic. Old lathe, simple press brake. Bandsaw. Tig. All attainable tools (relative to the big toys) yet in their hands, surgically precise. Because what the video cant show all the time that goes into planning. They are both geniuses, but far too humble to shove it in your face. That is what makes @badobsessionmotorsport magical
@@cccpkingu oh for sure. RU-vid is full of idiots (sponsored often) with Haas's and Tormachs punching out crappy finishes and stupidly inefficient processes. And calls it a Tutorial. Shudder
There's no talent in the workshop. Only skills aquired by doing the work. And what seriously helps is a pro showing you how the more difficult stuff is done, so you don't waste a shit ton of materials making all the usual mistakes by yourself ;)
Ah, it is just a Mini, but a lot safer. It has side-impact bars, proper seat belts, proper seats, much better brakes, an improved crash structure at the front, all engineered with CAD. Also it has been fitted with a Safe-T device, developed and produced by a respectable company. I quite literally can't see any issues with insuring it. 😋
I'd actually like to see the customisation list - or more accurately the face of the insurance guy who previews the application! I wonder if they'd read all of it...
@@smartin2174 insurance yes, no problem except the potential price. There's hardly a part that's original so valuation is tricky in insurance broker world.
Has Binky got an MOT? Yes it has, Has it been inspected by motorsports F1? Yes it has, Is it a class A classic mini? Yes it is, Ah now your talking, cheap classic class insurance club....
I found this video Saturday night, and now, 4 days later, i've caught up on this build. I've distilled the last 7ish years of your weekends down to a 4 day quarantine binge. now i grab a pint and wait for the next video :)
My mate spent £150 on a kit to do his motorbike parts. He never did get a shiny finish so gave up and sent his small parts to a platers. £50 gets a lot done.
You can make your own kit for next to nothing :-) Small PSU, Vinegar, Salt and some cheap Zink Anodes. PSU can be an old phone charger or similar and cheap Zink Anodes can be found at boat supply for corrosion protection, Salt and Vinegar you can buy at your local food market ;-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G-PtnwtOR24.html
he used up all the funk for this episode- hes gotta wait for it to recharge so he can do the engine harness... they need to have like 5 extra funks on chargers ready to go
This is STEM at it's finest, with common sense, inventiveness, simple solutions, practical application, ease of understanding, enlightened, on-going, educational, challenging, focussed, a little insane, passionate, specialist, the best components and outside skills. Love it. Especially the NMFP and the SU carb.
When we wondered whether the end of the world, or Binky, would come first... I did not expect the race to the finishline to be so close to each other! Stay safe guys. The post apocalyptic world is gonna need a lot of brackets

Hi Guys, the Binky series was recommended by a friend during lockdown so I’ve watched from start to ep 31 in 4 days. Awesome work, can’t wait for the next one!!
Can hardly wait to hear and see Binky bring the thunder. I for one love the idea of an overkill roadcar, it's almost too simple to build a dedicated race day vehicle.
Just making the new intake manafold is an unbelievable project already😅. Wow! You are really great. Thank you and the whole team for this fantastic entertainment. Curious to hearing it roaring... 😎👍
TheePaintballFreak I got mine the easy way by naming my dog after her... And possibly slightly Binky Felstead, but that might ultimately be the same thing.😉
You know how you know you LOVE this channel? Another subscribed-to channel: We have a new 2:27 vid. Me: IDK Suuuch a commitment of time. BOM: We have a new 38:46 Project Binky video. Me: Let me make myself a cup of coffee first. I really want to savor every second.
Soooo True !! if the video aint 30 mins plus with lots of either daft stuff in it or cute stuff ( Scenery, doggies that kind of thing ), then I aint watchin....
The array of colors on this engine is absolutely beautiful, and the layout work is superb. Cannot wait to see the fuel rail, charge air cooler, and coils situation sorted!
Intake manifold went on the bandsaw and I said "oh god, here we go again." :) Another great video of some quality engineering. And Nik's explanation of the gear box and diff was great.
16:00 Well done now there is a beef with Mighty Car Mods 26:50 A Cleetus Mcfarland and a Rob dahm... Jeez boiz 38:05 The carb at the end was hilarious!
I'd like to order a black tee (with pocket) with NMFP printed on the back (so it can be seen as I walk away from the problem) if this merch comes to fruition.
You lot are a great inspiration to those of us without a workshop! Bravo, keep up the excellent work gentlemen. Your workmanship and ingenuity are unrivaled.
I've just smashed 31 episodes in 2 days and now I'm gutted I have to wait for more I cant imagine the pain of the people who have been watching since the start of this incredible build 🤯 I'm well and truly hooked
As much as I love watching all this I’m looking forward to some driving. What an amazing change that gearbox made from before and after! It is the little mini that will someday.
You guys are absolute madlads. I caught a glimpse of the end project, and before going too far. I went back to 2013, and been binge watching every single episode in the last few days. By far my favorite project and channel on YT. Thanks for the hours of entertainment. can't wait to see the end product !
