I will never be able to justify it, but I totally want one of those A/C recovery, recharge, recycle machines so I do these types of repairs myself.

I actually prefer to use a portable recovery machine like an HVAC technician does. But I work on mobile equipment in the field so the automotive style machine is not practical.

@@Th3Think3r robinair rg3 (recovery machine). good set of gauges, a recovery tank, a scale, a vacuum pump, and a new bottle of R134a can all be had for much less than one of these all in one automotive refrigerant machines.

Nice steering wheel 😊 My 2013 Forester is due for service & AC refrigerant check later this year, I'll get them to replace the compressor O rings & valve cores if they find it low (last regassed 4 years ago).

I have a 2015 WRX wheel on my 2015 Impreza hatch and my 2015 FXT. Subaru is good like that...lots of parts that work like Lego ;)

Any chance you can do a video on used EJ20x and Y vs rhe Ej255. For such a cheap replacement motor now. Not many videos doing a breakdown and pros vs cons of these motors vs the ej255+ aside from the avcs?

Love the Hybrid Crosstrek content!!! I have a silly question concerning Crosstreks. Many, including me, have had the windshield cowl separate towards the center of the window. In my case, it happened three times after having to replace my windshield. I got my windshield replaced at the Subaru Dealership and it is the proper OEM windshield. The last fix that they completed has been remaining sealed as intended. Now to my question. How important is the solid seal on the windshield cowl? I know that it helps keep debris out of the engine compartment, and also protects the windshield wiper motor. Is it ok if the cowl separates from the windshield a bit? I ask because I will eventually be out of warranty and it could happen again since I live in a place with seasonal temperature ranges between 35C and -35C.

I am worried that the extra RTV from the original poor repair will end up in the oil pickup and cause oil starvation.

Yeah that would suck. Hopefully it got broken down enough so it just gets caught by the filter and doesn't clog that pickup.

Quick question, irrelevant to your video. I have 21 STI, periodically I have coolant leak at rear center right of the block, but can't pin where it's coming from. Sometimes it leaks then once I've looked for it, it just stops. The car runs smooth, and these no issues showing on the access port which is only married up to the stock tune. Any idea on what might be happening?

Hey just a quick question I own a 2020 Impreza and will do an oil change soon, everyone is talking about some bypass in the oil and it has to be a specific number or something, does it matter what I use, and if I don't will I cause some damage? Thanks
