Very nice dude, your project is really coming along nicely, I can't wait to see the end product ! And keep making these devlogs in the future, I love it ! :D
Well done! If you have some time, it would be great to see how you query and write to your database using SQLite. How data management works in projects can get quite daunting, to see some examples would be great. Keep up the good work, keep well
While I'll admit C# is probably a better language to use overall, inside of Godot4 GDScript is pretty damn convenient to use since the built-in linter is so familiar with with it. I'm going with GDScript for this first G4 project. C# is pretty good though.
@@DriftyG Agreed, especially with Godot 4 update GDScript best option usually imo. I figured only downside is it might be harder to do things like networking or SQL as opposed to C# which has a bunch of third-party libs/tutorials, so maaaybe that'd be a reason you'd use it? But glad to see GDScript hasn't stopped that from being possible.
@@SomeRanDev I'm using an addon called godot-sqlite and it simply works. No bs, once it's setup it's as simple as using sequelize or any other node.js library I've used before. If you are interested in checking it out you can get it for free on the Godot AssetLib right in-engine. Now if only ChatGPT would give me Godot4 functions instead of a bunch of G3 stuff that's been removed. I swear they designed the AI to gaslight people.
