You’ve been the only RU-vidr that I’ve been able to watch since I was 14-15, I’m 22 now and I love your channel just as much as I did when I was younger. You are just a relatable person and you’re real and you don’t sugarcoat the bs, love the vlogs and how your channel has changed throughout the years. So so happy you guys have all the space you need ❤ it’s like we grew up together in a way
me too im turning 25 next month and ive been watching her since i was 15!! i met baylee at anime north and it was my first time tabling at anime north and shes who introduced me to tabling!!💜💞
I totally get the burn out you get from the holidays and traveling but don’t sell yourself short! Vlogging, and running your own business is still hard work even though it’s something you enjoy doing! You deserve as much holiday and me time as the next! Enjoy it! Love the painting and as always love starting my Saturday mornings with one of your vlogs!❤
Spray your curtains with a wrinkle release spray! I rarely ever use my iron after I discovered it. You can leave it air dry or toss it in the dryer on air fluff and whaalaa!
@@BayleeJae Hi- just to let you know that Crease Release sprays are reported to make the floor (hard floor and even carpet) dangerously slippy- we are talking ICE. RINK.! ⛸ If they can do this to a floor, I dread to think what these sprays can do to your lungs…🫁 An ironing hack, which avoids using chemicals, is to just place a non-synthetic fabric, such as a cotton tea towel, between your iron and the fabric (also works for dark fabrics too). Hope you get them wrinkle free! Love the vlog 💕
I totally understand what you mean with feeling aimless. I always see the new year as a fresh start but every January I sit there and wonder what I am gonna do😅(even if I have a bunch of plans and ideas). Love how the painting turned out, the pastel colors are so pretty!
I've been watching you for around 7 years now, I'm turning 22 at the end of next month and this channel has consistently been a source comfort and entertainment for me. I also LOVE the productivity the vlogs give me to do my uni work/tidy my room/clean my bathroom etc. coinciding with the vlog content Your vlogs are still a highlight of my week❤️
Ironing tip: have something non-synthetic between the iron and your synthetic cloth. That way you won't be burning the curtain accidentally. I did this with my partners expensive dress pants and shirts and so on, it makes it a little easier to be calm while ironing. Also if you cant straighten it out use a damp cloth upon it again, to have the layer in between and not risk burning it ;)
The painting looks beautiful! Bet it would make a really nice diamond painting!! As I love the pastels. I like the shimmering blues and pink diamonds in the kit I made recently of yours.
oh my gosh I just stumbled upon your channel again after years of not watching your videos!! I remember in 5th grade watching all your videos constantly. You were such a huge inspiration to me (and still are), you where I think the first person I ever saw make art the way you do. when i was in elementary and middle school you had me scrambling to obtain alcohol markers, and draw like you. Im heading off to art school next year, and I cant help but think that without you, that might not have been the case. so I'd just like to say thank you, for all you do, and all you've done, thank you for making me the person I am today. ❤
I love how real your videos are! I think whilst the holidays are fun, it's also completely valid for it to be tiring... spending so much time socialising with other people, traveling and not sleeping in your own house
If you want the product photos to look more true to life, get a grey card. If you take a photo of your stuff with a grey card you can use it to adjust al the photos because its a neutral grey tone for cameras. I cant remember how it works specifically but it massively helped when I had to document artwork as the white background wall would my art was hung on would change colours from the light.
@@BayleeJae You can even just pop a white piece of card into your shots and use the Photoshop white balance selection. I do it like this and it makes editing so quick, it always gets the perfect colours.
Whenever I get a new shower curtain I just throw it into the dryer for like 10 minutes with a damp cloth and the wrinkles are gone! Works like a charm. Also, you could get a custom curtain made of the same color that you plan on painting behind your gallery wall
The painting is beautiful Baylee! I think if you mixed the color you want for the curtain with acrylics and add fabric medium to it you could roll it right on just like on a wall. I did this to curtains that came a different color than I expected, I had cut one panel so I couldn’t return them, so I thought why not experiment!!! And I love them now! It just sucks when things don’t work out as great as they did in our minds!!!😂 Blessings to you- you bring me joy when I’m watching you as I’m working in my own studio💕
The painting is totally "AWESOME!!!" I just love the pastel colors you chose for the canvas background and the girl looks so cosmic. For everything else you need to do for your home and business take all of that one step at a time. So I say onto you Peace and Happiness in everything you do.
I think you are correct in any curtains making that shelf corner so much darker. How about for help with sound in that area, placing cut stuffed animals on the top shelf and tucking them between the boxes. Ooh you could even use your Christmas buns pillow cases and put some pillows up on the stop shelf. I don’t film myself, and definitely not as much as you. However, that’s what I did for my mic corner for voice overs when I read stories or poetry. I can’t have foam due to an extreme latex allergy and kinda needing to breath to live. Instead, I have a pillow with my Sheltie on it for part of it, and a couple large penguin stuff animals for the other side. That way the only side that has sound coming in is where I am. Helps to reduce outside noise and definitely the echo. The more plush stuffed toys I think would be better. Alternatively you could get some fabric or something in a similar green and line the undersides of the shelves with magnets. This will help with the dampening you wanted, but also allow that light to reflect on the back wall. Hmm, you know I am looking at a bumper for a playpen or cradle that has some stuffing on it and ties. This might be the right width. It’s the thing you put in the playpen or bed to protect babies when they’re moving around or crawling. Something like that could work perfect for an under shelf thing. If you really wanted to go all out you could create fabric covers for some of those totes for the pins and things, but that would be A LOT of figuring, time, and sewing. Can you temporarily hang the curtains in the places you wanted to paint to see if you even like the notion? This’ll help for a bit with sound/echo too.
24:16 You could get white noise dampening foam that stick to the wall (the ones the pro gamurz buy) then get LED lights to reflect off them? Best of both worlds that way plus the LED lights can be changed for seasons / events
I was finally able to sit back and watch your video today! listening to you talk about day to day things is always the best to listen when i need to relax! Now to be productive on things!
When you said you got a sponge bob shirt to wear I had a laugh because I worked at a place that did a sponge bob promotion and all the workers (which were all female) had to wear sponge bob t-shirts and his big blue eyes were on our boobs. We got a lot of rude comments and looks when we wore them. Had to tell several guys "MY eyes are up here bud" We only wore them a couple of days before the bosses realized it was a bad idea.🤣🤣🤣
Love your vids! Tips or ironing material like that. Fold a sheet, place on top of material, and use high heat. So after u fold the sheet maybe twice, rest it on top of the curtain. Use high heat on top of that layer. So that way the heat penetrates through the sheet material for example, and gets through to the curtain. That way, you are not directly resting the iron on the fabric so its protected, but u will get the heat passing through to make it work 🙂 my mom taught me this lol. Hope it helps. U can also use a towel or anything else. Just put something on top of what you want to iron and use higher heat and it works and wont damage the material. 🙂
You can clean a partial floor, use a small (table)cloth, add trinkets and place all on the floor. Standing over the products and make your photos. No use of ladders high table and such 🤪😜😂🤣
Whenever you iron synthetic material, iron the back rather than the front because if it is too hot, the fabric may be salvageable on the other side. It also prevents changing the texture to a shiny uneven one.
for the protextive cover, it's flat, so you can punch a couple holes in one end and hang it on some nails on the wall in the storage room or just lay it flat in one of the shelf aisles
For the curtain, how about a sheer curtain, that way you still get the pop of color it will give little sound dampening and the light will filter through it so it doesn't look so dark.
Baylee, can't you pour water directly into the iron? It looks like you have an opening there, just set steam to max. Also, you could take damp cotton and put it on top of your fabric so it gets steamed.
If you haven't cut your table mat yet you could always use the excess to apply tension to it, so that when you want to take it off and put it back you wouldn't have to worry about rolling it up. Three sets of magnets on the long sides and two on the shorts, or Velcro.
i wanted to buy that mushroom lamp too a while back but unfortunately they're only available in EU or NA plugs :( using an adaptor would make it too bulky too
What about using cut fabric instead of curtains. Curtains are typically more then one layer of fabric which makes them heavier and darker but some cut fabric from the fabric store will be lighter for the magnets and thinner to allow the space to be brighter then the curtains. You can take a swatch of the green paint to the store with you to see color combinations too.
Oh no!! You burnt the curtain! Photos turned out ok. Great Vlog as always. P.S I managed to find something so I could attach a mic to my G7X mk 111. I’ve also downloaded OBS which I’m learning to use. Even got myself a decent overhead camera tripod holder thingy 😅
Oh yeah, a lot of brains are in a weird state in January. I think it's the 'after-holidays' fog that's slowly lifting during the month. The artwork is so cool! Will it be a print? Would love to add it to my collection!
Oh dear Baylee like wow you have accomplished a lot a huge move , setting up your house and working on your studio and then doing Christmas like wow , its ok that you have not finished the house , yet you will get there it takes time and you are running a business too . all work no play is not So good for ones Soul and adding in fun is so important dear so give yourself a break you have had a lot on your plate dear and have done wonderful .
gurl aimless when you got so much, I thinks it is called winter something you go through and it just drains ya. Take ya mini breaks and work on something else on ya list of things to do or slap. Put your army of cats to work, those fluff balls are too lazy. You going somewhere i just don't know total in the blank here but i love the journey so far keep going. I think we need more dancing or gaming something to get your energy up like I.V. your coffee into your arm and just go at'em. GetRrrdone.
