Heba! This is BEAUTIFUL!!! I also just LUV your bookshelves!!!! They look so nice and neat and look at all those memories you have preserved in those books!!!! That is AMAZING!!! Please keep sharing!
You have inspired me! I love watching how you have put these images into such an amazing family story. I really want to do the same. I feel that this is something that really causes you to stop and reflect, and to see the journey that has been traveled. A little different than handwriting in a journal. Thank you so very much for sharing!
+Erica Yael Thank you so much Erica for your lovely words. I love journaling but PL just helps you remember those moments that you would have forgotten about. It's crazy how I can look back through my 2012 album and see a picture and remember that moment in details. It's just a wonderful thing. Xoxo
You have everything in your albums so organized! Every thing is beautiful. I especially love your Hillary layout and the way you spoke about the election. You also take great photos. Thank you so much for sharing!
+Londa's Journey Thank you Londa. I think anybody can do PL its just adding pictures and cards in pockets. My kids school albums are much simpler then my weekly PL album. I just Journal little things like school trips and milestones, I add pictures and school certificates. So I am able to keep up with it. You should go for it and try it out. When you look back on your album you will love it and be so proud that you have those memories Documented 😊
Wow... what an amazing collection! Your layouts are beautiful! I love that you take simple photos that make your week! Those little moments are most important in life... you make me want to do project life! haha OH NO and I love your message, we are all humans! No hate just because you choose something different than someone else. I wish people would act more on this. Love this video Heba! You are such an inspiration to me!
+Documented Journey Thank you my dear friend. I think you should start your own PL. Start small girl so you won't be overwhelmed. You can thank me later lol!! Me too Brie, I would never judge someone for who they choose to support. I really think we are all humans. If we could just love each other and spread more love then hate this world would be such a better place for our children. Love ya my friend 😘
I love your organization idea of the project life album. Do you ever use same photos when you have the album for the year and your kids' album. What I meant was do you project life same photo twice or more? Thanks.
+swtxlinda Thank you so much. Yes, sometimes I do use the same pictures. So let's say there was an event for my son I will only put one pic in my Family PL album and then I will put the rest in his school album. I try to keep the kids albums more about their school events, friends and anything important to them. And the family Album more about our lives together. In other word I will print all the pictures from that event use one in our album and the rest goes in the kids album 😊
+Imperviouslady8 Thank you so much. There is so many wonderful crafters out there and it's great to get inspiration. But make it your own, be you. Xoxo
Loved your album!! I just ordered those Studio Calico dividers (thanks for the link!!) I was on the fence if I wanted to do 6x8 or 12x12 album this year, I think you pushed me to go with 12x12!
+Banning Lane Oh my gosh that is a major complement coming from you. Thank you so much, I just love your work ❤ Every year I think I'm going to change the size of my album but I just can't let go of the 12x12 😊
Same! I don't want him to fail. He fails then our country fails....but we shall see. I'm not watching any coverage (except maybe the regular news). I hope others follow that as well, he hates low ratings! haha!
I love the idea of your children's albums. Think that is a really sweet idea. Something i will definitely be doing when we start a family. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your cat, but it is important to document those hard times. I totally agree with not hating people for their choices and judgements. Until you walk in their shoes you cant make a comment. Absolutely beautiful flip through documenting 2016. The problem i have is i usually keep lots of thick items like, napkins, balloon, cards etc which bulk out my albums. Think i need to try and do 1 spread per week like you. That will be the plan for 2017. xx
+The Tattooed Crafter Thank you Julia!! My favorite albums are my kids albums. I think they bring back the most beautiful memories. So I totally recommend these albums for your kids when you start your own family. I am all for spreading love and kindness. I don't care where you're from, who you love and who you voted for. All I see is a beautiful human-being. Btw I used to put all kinds of stuff in my albums. And that's why I would have two albums a year. But Now that I was able to bring it down to one album. I don't think I miss the extra stuff I added in my old ones. So try it this year and see if it works for you. If you don't like it half way through the year. Go back to your old ways. There's nothing wrong with that.
My Little Journal will definitely try it out this year. I really dome Ave the space to store loads of albums so hoping to cut it down to 1 album a year. plus that way i can get a range of different coloured albums rather than the black and white ones I've had so far. x
Any chance you'd do a flip thru of your baby books? I always love seeing other people's ideas -- I do 6x8 albums for my kids first year....and then just one 12x12 album for our family. Your albums and spreads are amazing! Great for inspiration!
Thank you so much 🤗💕 I don’t have plans on sharing those albums they are very personal and have a few things I didn’t want to put online, if you know what I mean. But I do have other PL album flip throughs and I’m working in my vacation album and will share a flip through of that very soon ♥️😁
Love this flip through, really beautiful layouts and so many memories captured! My layouts are definitely going to get political this week too because of MLK Day, going to the women's march on Saturday, and writing about my feelings about inauguration. These are very important parts of our lives, and I can't imagine not documenting them. It's interesting when I think about it, scrapbook companies definitely don't like to market anything to do with documenting politics.
+Mary Gilles Thank you so much Mary. First, I am so jealous that you are going to the Woman's March. I think company's don't want to get political, I lost a lot of subscribers for posting my love for Hillary. But I would never judge somebody like that. We can agree or disagree and still be friends. I can't wait to see how your layouts turn out Mary.
That's crazy! Like a Hillary picture affects your scrapbook skills. I just meant the only product that I remember seeing for documenting the election and politics, not even making a statement either way, was a Kelly Purkey stamp set. It had a donkey and an elephant on it!
+Mary Gilles Oh ya I saw those stamps, They are pretty cute. Did you buy them? I didn't, I just felt like I will only use them once every four years lol.
Love , love, love your album! It's inspiring! I want to do a PL but I can't seem to start! ! Some weeks I take way too many photos and some weeks I don't hardly take any! + I tend to "over-think" everything, (LOL) For example, the other day I tried to make my first ever pocket page and realized one of my photos was printed in the wrong direction - it was landscape and I needed vertical; so frustrating!
You kinda get the hang of it Doreen. When I first started I did the same but made it simple for myself by sticking to a certain type of pocket design and sticking to the photos I have. I learned to let go and not try to perfect it. It gets easier by time 😁
Very nice!! I liked the card that said " Don't grow up it's a trap" Lol it's so true!! Also I think I could do the week verses daily seems very doable...I am just overwhelmed with all my photos and so I get further behind in scrap booking any of them...My oldest is 32 ( then 28, 24, 18, 14 + 2 grand babies) and I started sorting and dating and yeah OVERWHELMED!!! Always inspired by your work!!😃
+Michelle Hickey Thank you dear Michelle. I love that card too, it worked so well with my kids pictures. Girl you have five kids that is what I call super mom!!! I love big families and the memories is just amazing. I came from a big family and wish I had more kids but it just wasn't in the cards for us. I totally understand how you would be overwhelmed. Maybe the best way to start is putting your pictures in piles and labeling them. Like by the kids names or occasions or even by year.
My Little Journal : yes I have been doing that and want to make each child an album and a vacation album etc. it's just the time to get on it...I need to be more disciplined and complete one by one because they all need to read and see those moment I have collected for them....thanks for your reply always watching the great things you are doing!!! I have 4 boys and then my girl and I wasn't stopping till I had my girl!! Lol I love my boys but they leave and spent more time on the wife's side usually and I also wanted to have that special girl bond that fathers have with the boys!! 👍❤
+Michelle Hickey I totally understand. My mom always says she loves all her kids but her girls are the ones that check on her, call her and are there for her. Boys just leave, but girls they have their own families and still take care of their parents. Your kids will cherish those memories for sure.
I’ve tried to go smaller with my album a few years ago but couldn’t do it. I just love this size. I will be sharing a flip through of my finished 2017 album next week and I will talk about how I like to use different page protectors in my album. I feel like I can go smaller in a 12x12 album but you can’t go bigger in a 9x12 album, if that makes sense 😁💕
I know what you mean! haha, I can't wait to see your flip through of 2017 and what your plans are for your 2018 album! I just started my 2018 project life in a 9x12 using the kelly turkey details of the day kit:) Thanks for your inspiration!! xoxo
