I used to do data analysis, but I didn't want to lie to myself because it became too agitated for me. So I decided to go into PM because I love organizing things from the beginning to the end! I have been on different RU-vid channels, but I must say yours is really helpful. I am a person who likes to understand things from the highest to the lowest level, and your channel does just that. Thank you once more.
I legit bought coursea from google to take cert classes to keep information fresh n to relearn the most important parts before I started job hunting lol
same. all of my professional knowledge and skill is in the IT field, programmer, data analyst, technical support etc. but I lost my love for tech, and a friend out of no where mention I should do project management. I ignored it, but now I'm taking a serious look at it. I also was forced to switch my major from IT to BA. a big planner, organizer and innovator who likes finance.
I never usually comment on videos but I'm compelled to give credit when it's due. You are so relatable, clear, concise and evidently very knowledgeable in this field. I've been engrossed by your delivery whilst also humoured by your brilliant adlibs. Thank you so much, your video has really helped me grasp the exact level of understanding I wanted.🙌🏾
🙌🏾🥺🤗 this is such a lovely compliment! Thanks for much for dropping this comment, it means a lot! And thanks again for the support and for watching my video !
Our PM goddess 👑 I am trying to break into tech this year with no coding experience and think Project Management is such a great avenue for those of us pivoting. Thank you for the value on value girl!
😭😭🤗🤗 you’re so sweet and I love the support! Thank you . Please lemme know if there’s anything else you want me to make a video on, I have lots of ideas but will defo prioritise what is needed in the streets first !
Soo I'm moving into project management in luxury concierge with a background in marketing snd hospitality for the past 8 years. You expressed many tips I will take with me when I start next week! Thank you for your service! 🌻✨️
5 mins in and this is brilliant. You have a knack for explaining things in a really easily digestible format that's also very engaging. Thank you so much - you're a lifesaver :D
Thank so much 😩🎉🥰 this is so nice and encouraging to hear. I’ll defo give that a think. I do want to do more to help ppl this year, so maybe that’s the best way to do it🤷🏾♀️
This is really informative and helpful, and a perfect example of how communicating a complicated role in layman's term. I'm a communication major student, and as I took my first PM webinars outside school, I kinda bombarded with a lot of information that I "need" to take, and this video helped a lot more than those resources (not that I will disregard those readings haha). Great video!
Thanks you from Lisbon❤…. I changed from data analyst to project management. Again you are right the “impostor syndrome is real” 😢. Your videos are a breath of fresh air, keep posting❤. You are a great trainer!
Such a great video! I'm currently in the process of switching careers and researching different options - I had no idea what a project manager actually did, or what would be deemed a "project", and this video laid it out so matter of fact and easy to understand. Soooo helpful! Going to check out all your other videos now. 👍😁
HI Pitol, I am "Visionaire" founder of this project we working on and am humbly happy to have stumbled on your channel while searching for how to create a project plan... This was so valuable and I identified so many mistakes and am going back to the drawing board... Very well presented and simplified. This is understandable without industry jargon which I would have been bored by (LOL) Hoping over to watch Part 2...
Hey! Thanks for the kind words 🤗 happy it was nice and simple for you. Going back to the drawing board is never a bad thing tbf. Even if it’s just to review where you are with the project. Good luck! And I hope you enjoy part 2
@@pitolinmotion You welcome my Angel, I've had this vision of entrepreneurial development and sort out people to join the team, not having knowledge to PM we got to a stuck phase, this session has let me introspect, What, Why, Who did it all get here... Now revision and reshuffle...
This was such a great video👏 I love how you simplified key PM terms and your energy really made things more engaging/ easy to understand. Looking forward to watching more of your content as I want to move into PM in my company 😊
I've been a general education teacher since 2013. For the past year, I've been itching to make a change in my career. I wanted to make a switch that was practical. For example, I'm not trying to be a cardiovascular surgeon. I looked into what transferrable skills I could take with me. I'm hyping myself up, taking a course in JIRA, updated my CV, etc. Wish me luck 🤞🏿
OMG thank you so much for breaking this down into smaller pieces so I'm able to get a better understanding of it all. Currently a project engineer fresh out of college, and BOY am I having a time adjusting. But watching this has helped out a lot.
This has been by far one of the most informative videos I've watched yet . I'm currently doing a short course in PM and I was wondering, is there any work experience/ volunteer work you could recommend someone do to get your foot in the door. This would be much appreciated xx
Hey girl. Thank you 😊 as far as getting your foot in the door. Any relevant experience is good experience at that stage. Apply literally anywhere. Ngl it is difficult to get your leg in project management as it’s such a highly demanded role these days. So apply long and wide. I don’t have anything specifically you can apply to. But if you’re a recent grad Defo target grad roles
OH MY GOD! I have dreamed of becoming a project manager for months now and this series of videos has given me a whole lot more clarity. You don't need to be a teacher Pitol, just share your knowledge because people really want to listen Love you Thanks xD
You have no idea how great this video has been for me. You have been so clear and concise. I got an understanding of PM and the process in this one video than the 1 hr videos I have watched. Thank you. I’m just starting my PM cert out here in America will continue to follow you thank you
This is some dope content! I'm interviewing for a Sr. PM position on Monday, and this is really helping me prepare! I love you energy!! I wish we could be friends in real life... LOL! But honestly, thank you for this!
Hello Ire. I am very grateful for you and these project management videos that you have produced. I won't be the project manager, but I am helping a co-worker who wants to be one create a project management life cycle/process. Your videos are just the foundation to get us going...the best I have been able to find. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video, I can't wait for part 2. This is my first time here and I am already searching for other videos expecially the one on how to get into Project without experience. This will be so useful for me.
Well hey there girl! Great you have you here fr 🤗❤️ and be sure reach out to me if you need any help. The ‘how to get into PM with no experience’ video is linked in my description box! Thanks for watching !
omg you are amazing i just relocated to the uk from America and its been so so hard to get a job here, wanted someting more remote and was thinking so i started learning how to be a project manager i am so desperate and willing to learn from you i can boldly say am almost done with watching all the videos on your page thank you for sharing this with the world.
Another great video thanks. Would love something on project financials, how things are costed out. For example how much time your resources will take to do specific tasks etc. Thank you.
Hey Julia! Sure thing happy to do something on this , however I have such a long list of requests I’m still working through 😨 and I only post once every 2 weeks atm. I may increase it, but please be patient with me and I’ll get it out!
I really enjoyed your video. Loved your delivery. I’m just starting out my PM journey and career transition. This video was a concise and brief overview.
This was nothing short of amazing! I am considering a career change, and this helps me to feel like I have a great foundation for the PM role. I cant wait to watch the other videos and view the templates. 🙂
Thank you. This was very helpful; especially the closing comments about responsibilities, scope, schedule, stakeholders and resources. That section alone is better than most PM videos.
@@pitolinmotion Thank you for being a gracious teacher and a leader in this space. If you have a video or content that dives deeper into scope, schedule, stakeholders and resources, please let us know. I wasn't the only one highly impacted and inspired by that section. Best wishes!
I am currently pivoting my career from the arts to something more in business. (I want to pair my art skills with something more practical) I am somebody who like novelty and big picture ideas. I think project management or content writer would be something that pairs well with my creativity. Actually this video made me reevaluate the way i plan my art projects. SO THANK YOU. Subscribed and hoping to see more from you.
Hola, mañana tengo entrevista y este video me ha ayudado bastante. Con ese carísma y precisión de los temas, no me extraña que seas una excelente Project Manager. Saludos desde Chile!
Heyy!!! Ahh thank you so much 🥰🙌🏾 really nice of you to say. And all the best with your interview! I hope it goes well for you 🤗 let me know how it goes :)
This is SOOOO helpful! I'm currently trying to make a career shift into PM and I love being able to hear it directly from someone who is doing it already and being REAL with us about the realities of PM. I actually start a new position next week managing cases for an attorney so while it isn't major PM it's a small step towards that. I'm currently doing online certifications and I hope to get my foot through the door some time next year. This career could be life changing for me and I'm betting on it.
@@pitolinmotion thank you Pitol you damn amazing queen you. Manifesting millions of subscribers for you. You’re genuinely gold for making these videos.
I studied project management and technology in my undergraduate level , I’m also preparing to go for my masters in project management , with my little knowledge on projects and project management, I must commend this video and tanks for IRE 💯📌
I bump into your channel now now! What a bomb! Definitely good for us who long had interest in PM but from what we read, it looks complicated and not easy to comprehend. For a newbie like myself, it is excellent. It actually brought light even on how I can feel the PMI applications. How can one get hold of you? God bless you to give more content.
Fab stuff ! Thanks for watching and supporting my channel ☺️and if it’s for a general question, just drop it here and I’ll reply. For 1-2-1 advice, this will be through my consulting services www.pitolinmotion.com/services
Thank you so much for this. Breaking this down in everyday scenarios and terms is very helpful. I am wanting to do a career switch and PM is a portion of the job that I am not familiar with but would like ti educate myself on, with no clue as to what it entails. Thanks again
You are amazing, smart, beautiful and confident. Girl you know your stuff! How did you become that way... would love to hear about your journey. I'm much oder than you and excited about learning. So glad I came across your channel. God bless, enjoy your life and success. As for me I will continue to follow so I can become more like you 😊
☺️☺️🥰 thank you so much . That’s no nice of you to say, I honestly feel like I’m just plodding along these days. I’ll try to do a video about my journey along the way and put it out soon x watch this space
This is really clear explanation. The materials are easy to understand for a beginner like me. You’re presentation is very awesome, I like your energy! Grateful to come across your channel! Will continue watch the continuation of the content.
you are impressive love. your. eloquence and accent. thank you for these videos and for sharing your knowledge you are gifted in public speaking and delivering knowledge. , bless. you :)
thanks for the time you have taken to create great and very valuable content. Im entering to project management with no experience, hence this info help me a lot and kept me from quiting. one of the challenges i have the most is when i need to calculate savings based in people and time. do you have any advice about this?
Heyy! Happy this content is helping you keep going. And be encouraged! It is a difficult path to get into but will a bit of patience and diligence, you can break into project management. When you say calculate savings based on people , what do you mean?. I don’t think I’ve done anything like that before. I am recording a beginners guide on project finances and plans today though, so that will be out soon !
You are an angel! Thank you for taking the time to thoroughly explain everything in your videos. I am currently in retail at a big tech company and looking to transfer my skills to project management. I'm excited for this journey and your honesty helps ease a lot of my anxiety! Thank you thank you 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you so much for the breakdown, this is the best explanation ive come across. Now im ready to really jump and make that career shift... again !!! :)
I really appreciate it, and I found part one was very well presented and helpful. I recently completed my PMP course with the World Skill Program, but I believe I am still not well prepared for the PMI exam. Please advise me on what to do next so that I can study for the exam and get a job as a PM..
Hey thanks ! If you’ve done the course you should be prepared enough to do the exam right ? That’s the point of the course prep, maybe just keep going over the content maybe . And getting a role- check out my ‘how to get into the pm’ video
@@pitolinmotion Thank you so very much I woke up early this morning to re-watch the steps again this morning is 7:06am where I am in Canada, I really want to do well in this role to effectively serve my clients, and also help my boss and her organization. I never went to university for project manager when she said to me on Thursday last week that I am the project manager for the organization I was shocked, I have to teach myself watching youtube videos and your video looked like a very simple video that will be easy to understand.
Thank you very much! This is really clear explanation. The materials are easy to understand for a beginner like me. Your presentation is very awesome, I like your energy! Grateful to come across your channel! Will continue watch the continuation of the content.
As a project manager, can you choose the projects you work on or are you assigned the project by the organisation? Btw, great video - clearly explained and without sounding too robotic and boring. Thank you.
This is a great breakdown! I am looking to get into PM. Im getting ready to watch your getting started in PM video, other than that, do you have any tips?
