I played an early alpha build of Project Me (thanks a lot, Pathea and Nuverse😁) and here's all I learned about the game. Project ME official website: projectmegame.... Project ME official Discord: / discord
I can't emphasize enough how much I hope the devs give us a PC version. I love love love My Time games, but I won't be playing this or anything on a mobile ever. I guess I'm a dinosaur.
desperately wants this game on PC, they combine such a good ideas together, like builidng/managing a town, farming/building and the character interaction/relationship
I've been following closely to the early alpha gameplay videos and so far I'm loving the mixture of concepts in this game. Town development tycoon sort of game but the strong core feeling of cozy My Time game is still there which is very nice. I love the concept of recruiting staffs for combat or construction and we can also choose whether we want them or not based on their skills and background which is very interesting. It feels a bit different from the usual My Time games like no sleep and npc's daily schedule but since it's on mobile it's understandable. It's nice how they add constructions workers cleaning the spot when you expand the town area which makes the town feels alive and more realistic. For a mobile game that have real-time system, for now I think they are quite generous with the energy system and the building facilities and town expansion area are quite affordable as well. It's also a nice feeling when in the beginning of the cutscene we get to see so many rangers are patrolling here and there and they also have interesting personalities. Usually we only have two or three civil corp in Portia and Sandrock so it's a nice change. Overall, it still in a very early alpha build but so far I'm loving it already and looking forward to see more development in the future Hope the town and npcs will be more lively and we can customize not only our characters but also the design or colours of the building facilities especially the interior as well, that would be nice 😊❤
Oh they went into the route of "real time actions"... oof I know it's common on mobile that tasks take real time minutes/hours. But this kind of thing is very unpopular with gamers who usually play on other platforms. Take the game "V Rising" for example. The gameplay is awesome if you like survival and sandbox games, but crafting items takes forever, because this game is meant for playing on servers that are online 24/7 with several other players around. If you play that game alone, having to wait real time hours until you have enough steel bricks is a nightmare. I really hope that they will eventually make a PC version with a normal crafting system (like in Portia/Sandrock). But hey, the building mode for the house looks better than it is in the other games!
Fortunately crafting times are not very long, unless we're making like a couple of hundred metal bars at once. And we can also build more machines to work simultaneously. Of course it's just an early build for testing. Anything can change in the future.
This is kind of right up my ally, though I'd probably emulate it too. A city builder my time tycoon-like game is a hell of a thing to pull off, but looking at what they've got so far seems like a solid foundation that will probably get me hooked for a bit. I do not like the idea of having to log in every day to get new npcs, though. I barely like the login system already with other games, but to get new npcs? Especially the hottest one so far?
i didn't mind playing Portia on mobile, i actually spent more time playing on mobile compared to PC. As long as there is the wholesomeness and interesting romanceable NPCs.
Tapping into a new market. The demand for cozy mobile games is huge, and many mobile gamers don’t game on other platforms. Many more can be tempted to play a full video game if they like a mobile game enough. It’s annoying to regular gamers, but it’s a wise move on Pathea’s part.
while some stuff is interesting, it honestly doens't appeal to me. my biggest love of androck was how alive the world is and how vivid the characters are. I love that they noticed when i cut my hair and that they reacted to my choices. This new concept, while interesting in the build a town aspect, feels a lot more dead inside. Building a floor one tedious piece at a time is not for me. I like building the house myself wall to wall but small square by small square.... no thanks. Oh, and real time crafting. that is a no too
Hopefully now that they changed it from mobile to normal premium game for PC/console, many things will change. BTW I was wrong about the building one tile at a time. I think there was some form of "hold and drag" to build multiple tiles. But it wasn't very intuitive.
I already had a hunch that this game progress will be "locked" behind real time just like any other mobile game, guess i was right lol. Not a fan of those though since i'm lazy to check back once i'm off the game
The game’s weakness is its writing. It’s generic. There’s none of the wit and flavor of Sandrock. The characters are desperately, gnawingly dull. Where Sandrock went over the top, Project ME plays it so safe that there’s nothing to distinguish it from dozens of other cute games. It’s a fixable problem, but only if the writing team turns the dial waaaaaaay up.
I don't see a point in mobile games, when we got good pcs. Always have thought that way, plus I don't like wasting my phone space with games. xD So far this game looks like it still needs a lot of work, mainly the building and such not being instant but I guess mobile games are like that and is another reason why I hate mobile games.
Dissopointed, was hoping for another Portia/Sandrock. Not intrested in a moble game! Hope the orginal team will get back together, for a real 3rd My Time game. So hope this will be a big fail.
