The variety of cars in your videos is amazing. Daily drivers to classic collectors. You go to top end trade shows are willing to stink up your shop after hours for a few days to restore an abused truck and demonstrate/narrate the process. Your spreadsheet is epic and your channel is the best I've seen in terms of quality testing. thank you and cheers.

I really liked this 2 part video. Definitely something you should start doing more. I enjoyed yours more than Brian from Apex who has started doing this as well.

I'm a big fan of 1st gen Titans. I have a 2013 now and I'm fixing everything that needs it. I think I gotto my fuel pump in time as well. When I changed the plugs they were looking a little warm so I was aware right away of exatly what the problem is, I'll give you a hint:it's the fuel pump!

Scott I really liked this video, learned some stuff, and would enjoy more of the same. Two things came to mind watching: (1) I tie a piece of soft yarn into my clay bar and slip knot it around my wrist so when I drop it, and I always do, it doesn't hit the floor and get ruined.; (2) the truck looks so much improved I would pass by the dealer and show off your final work product, hand him a few business cards... after all, his detailer shrunk from the challenge. 😁

Scary how many cars on the road are driving around with brakes like this. Oye! Cared enough to put after market intake and exhaust but not enough for anything else. Anyway interesting vids Scott!
@ScottHD
@ScottHD Год назад
Agreed! I knew it had something amiss right when I first drove it. It stopped ok (surprisingly) but stops great now.

Sweet deal! It's a beater truck that isn't embarrassing to drive. I don't know if it's worth it or not to do it just for the channel, but if you're going to be doing flips anyway, absolutely make these videos. Maybe when you sell it, you can offer a free car wash to be redeemed one year later, so you can do an update video haha.

Wrap the roof in black and big decal on the hood. Great video. I enjoyed watching it. You can do more of these
@GainingDespair
@GainingDespair Год назад
Its interesting enough, and honestly it suits your line of work anyways. Only thing is folks typically don't enjoy channels with two varying types of content, you end up with two groups who are typically interested in one, or the other. Though not necessarily a bad thing

It seems like its more of an issue when its too very different things? Like detailing and travel for example on the same channel. But, in this case, it seems to me at least, Scott is just using the products in a more real world setting thus giving the channel a little more dimension?

If your roof looks like that. Repaint it asap. Because it only gets worse. Then it begins to rust. And it's way more work to fix at that point.

Thanks for the video amazing results for a trashed out truck you made it very presentable for the next owner and hopefully you will make great profit off of all the hard work you have done to this truck I’m sure you have buyers lined up already specially how crazy they used car market is now

Cool switch of direction for the page! I have thought about doing these types of things, but car dealers are not turning loose of anything that is not a nightmare to fix up right now. Maybe down the road and after I move to the country and build a barndo.

Awesome video again! I’m impressed you know your mechanical stuff as well 😊 I really think you could of made this a 4 part series because there were many parts I wanted to watch in more detail but was speed up to fast for me to see well. I guess another option would be show the steps you were doing but narrowed down to one wheel instead of the four wheels and you could just say that I repeated the same steps and all the wheels with less of a speed up. Another thing I’m so impressed how fast you do all this work. I’m coating a new car I have and been working on that for over 30 hours now and it only needed polish in a few spots and no paint contamination. I did one wheel, caliber and wheel well tonight and that took me 5 hours heh. I’d be a poor detailer lol. Always look forward to your videos and like these new ones allot! Thank you.

Great work! If you chose to refinish the headlights instead of replacing them, which kit would you have used?
@ScottHD
@ScottHD Год назад
I like the 3M "kit" that you can do with a drill, and clear coat them. Headlights like these have become so inexpensive, so it's a no brainer to just replace at $53 each. If they were expensive HID/LED headlights I would definitely have just refinished them.
@marambula
@marambula Год назад
@@ScottHD If you still have them I think a 4-6 way headlight restore test would be really cool, probably the replacement headlights win in the end anyways. I found your channel after "restoring" my headlights and being very satisfied then completely failing with the next attempt at trim restoration and coloring (mothers back to black). Thanks to your tests I'm using griots, nano bond, and malco! sonax waiting till a nice Oct/Nov weekend to see if it does my winters a little better than griots.
@ScottHD
@ScottHD Год назад
@@marambula definitely. I should have saved them but they are already gone. I'll have some in the future!

It never fails to amaze me the sheer number of vehicle owners who will invest tens of thousands of dollars in a new vehicle, but won't spend twenty bucks to buy some ceramic sealant spray. Within 4 or 5 years all the upper surfaces have lost their clear coating and the vehicle looks like a piece of crap driving down the road.

@LSD04

Why would you use a polish with a sealant in it when you’re going to coat the wheels, you’re creating work for yourself removing this?

How come you didn't use cerakote on thr trim? Too shiny?
