at first I felt pressured being the only one who plays normal or hard while others play expert and master but then I realized playing in normal or hard is better than dying in expert or master
Imo, I recommend playing levels that you can't play and die in them. Because you get to continue them even if you died unlike solo, it's how I managed to improve my rhythm game skills haha.
That’s only sometimes on the JP server. In reality most of us hate the fact that someone’s load time is stuck at 0% and that’s when we dc the most. Not able to represent the whole JP community but most people pick random and go with the song. Not sure about the whole EN thing, last I checked for ENdori this was the case but not sure about ENsekai.
I don't leave mine because I don't like it, my game has a white screen and then it changes to black and exit the game😔😭 i only played 2 times on the co-op show bc that time the game doesnt did that on solo happens this to someone help me pls😭
Hello! This is just a reminder. Everyone fits in. Whether you are a Japanese player or American or anything else, and regardless of your language, you are part of our community! We are happy to have each other. Please do not think of co-op as a competition, but more so working together. Even if it doesn't work out or you mess up, please don't feel intimidated. Even if you do better than other players, please don't look down on anyone. People are not judging you. Many players have their bad days as well. Everyone tries their best, and remember that there will always be one person with the highest score and one person with the lowest score. It is important to be respectful, and it is a public space. People who treat it like a competition can make the atmosphere awkward or uncomfortable, even if they don't mean to. I sometimes came into rooms where I did not play as well as others, but had better characters and received better scores. As a result, sometimes people would use unnecessarily rude stamps... Instead of comparing oneself to others, it is better to admire the effort and work of other players. I cannot help but feel slightly worried when I see people spreading the notion that co-op is like a race or a competition. Do not worry if what someone else finds easy is not what you find easy. ^^ I hope that you all play at the pace you like, in whatever way is fun for you. More important than anything is that you feel welcome. Especially now that we can be friends on PRSK, I think everyone should focus on having fun. If it is a hobby you take very seriously, I suggest doing more practice on your own. I hope you have a wonderful day.
if u ever feel bad abt playing hard on sekai, I’m out here playing easy mode while being paired w people who play expert/master everytime I play HELP update: I can kinda do expert and the occasional master now teehee
I live in the US and every time I play multi live during the day ik I’m getting paired with sum hardcore Japanese player bc who’s playing this in the middle of the night lol
The fact that you could play so well with the MV is beyond my comprehension, not only does playing it with MV lags my phone hard, but it's also distracting as I would often end up paying attention to the MV instead. Props for your incredible focus and attention span.
It's so interesting to see how different people play The MV never bothered me either. I can never with the skill call-outs though. Like, Tsukasa baby, I love you but your yelling is so distracting
I started playing about a month ago, during the cherry blossom event. During one of my first team shows, someone kept spamming the KAITO “Ugh” stamp as soon as they saw that I was new (had default characters with low talent score and no titles since I was brand new to the game). It made me feel bad for wanting to participate in co-op shows for the first day or two, but I know they were just a toxic player and I had no reason to feel bad. It’s nice to see everyone else being so supportive about level differences! Edit: also stan Nene Kusanagi
@@nekokillz I'm trying to not be scared as I'm practicing exclusively on co-op shows now to get over the fear but yea I needed reassurance before that first show
The only time I got an “ugh” was when I picked Hitorinbo Envy and it won…I didn’t know any of the meta about unpopular/spammed co-op songs, I just really liked that one and had it stuck in my head. But for the most part, dc’s have only happened when someone gets stuck loading, or the lobby takes too long to fill. This community I overwhelmingly supportive and I’m so glad 😊
This is exactly how I feel, I'm a new player and when I had to do online for a mission i was nearly in tears I'm always afraid of being made fun of even when there is no chat I feel like im still being judged
Ohhh at the beginning it's can be really intimidating to do co-op but don't worry to much jp sever is pretty friendly as long as your having fun choose any difficulty level that make you confortable. It's not a vs between players, not a competition. We all start somewhere, so the majority will not judge you or make fun of you. And even if you failed it's okay! It's happened even to the best player so stay confident about yourself. Also i can encourage you if you want to communicate with others players to use the stickers at the beginning of the game like the miku one to say hello, you will see people's answer and the pressure will decrease. If by any chance you meet some toxic player don't let them discouraged you.
Don't feel bad, just bc you play at a lower difficulty than the rest, it doesn't mean that you suck, this is coming from experience, you shouldn't really be pressured into choosing the difficulty in which you always fail, it's fine to take it easy
i love playing co-op, but it’s so embarrassing when everyone is waiting for just one person (usually me) 😭😭 edit: i meant i feel embarrassed when it’s just me, when someone else loads slow i’m chill w it lol
I was having such a hard time clearing hard songs but I turned up the speed and now I can clear some expert too! It's fun to slowly get better but then I get paired with someone doing master and getting all perfect and I cry lol
Yea when I tuned up my speed it was so much more easier to play. But I think my speed it a bit to high. At a 11.2 but I can still play really really good
@@JorjoGiovanna turning up your speed a little bit definitely helps ! I’m on 8 speed right now and it’s helped immensely !! I can pass / get master on most expert songs now (whereas I couldn’t before) :)
Now that the English version has released, I find myself sometimes the only one who's playing on hard or expert. I once got a superstar just for playing shoushitsu on hard while others picked expert. They almost died I think and got like 44 misses while I finished it on hard and got only 1 good. I'm still mad about that one good tho.
i don’t join multi live because i’m very intimidated by the japanese players, and scared that they’ll judge me like… “god, another foreigner? such a noob. oh she has english letters in her name? hilarious. what are those songs she’s picking? and those cards? pathetic.”
@@nekokillzSAME LOL I FEEL LIKE A NOOBIE WHEN PLAYING JP SERVER IN EN SERVER EVERYONE ALWAYS PICK HARD OR NORMAL SOMETIMES EXPERT BUT IT'S NEVER MAKE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE BUT WHEN I'M PLAYING JP SERVER AND USE HARD MODE IN MULTILIVE I FEEL LIKE I'M JUST PUSH MY TEAM DOWN WHEN I'M TOTALLY PLAY FINE IN EN SERVER
Everyone's a person who either perfected their skills to grt to this level or are on the middle range, but even so, they also mess up sometimes, so even if they seem intimidating, just remember that they're also a person and they may also make mistakes
As someone who started playing project sekai 1 week ago, this is terryfing edit (17/05/22) : I have full combo on 39music, on the rocks and usseewa expert :^))) edit (19/11/22) : I have 59 expert full combos and two master fc!! :)
It's been 4 days since I started playing the English version, and boi does it hurts playing on hard online when there are big daddy expert players surrounding me. Being the only one with the least score is embarrassing, yet I can't stop playing since it's just so fun and addictive!
@@vozism322 yeah. I used to suck at rhythm games but I’ve cleared most of the songs up to hard mode and I’ve only been playing for a few days. I find the more I listen to the song, the easier it gets. That’s why I got high king and echo scores so early on.
Dont give up. I also thought that i will never play expert or even master, but now i already full comboed a song on master. Just start with some easyer experts like ECHO and practise. As soon you start playing expert you will learn much more about the game than in hard. You can not get better if you have full combos in hard and still playing hard. If you are at that point, try expert.
“Expert because I’m a gamer” is exactly what I say when I pick expert. I can for sure do hard and 98% of expert songs depending on the song. I can do master sometime if the song is kind to my fingers. Respect to the normal/hard/ easy players tho. To what’s best for ya personally
Gotta be honest, when i started playing online it was literally the best i could do in game. Even if u get a not so high score, people are still SO SO SO SUPPORTIVE-
dw , its intimidating for awhile but just know that you dont know the ppl that youre playing with and they dont care what score u get or if u fail or what lvl u play at. Rmb it’s important to just hv fun 🤪
I felt that the first time I played but then later I was like Idc, I'm not playing for merits, just cause I love the songs/character and I want to have fun so others can think whatever they want. And no, I won't get ashamed even if I get a bad score on normal
@@nekokillz Exactly, it's better to have fun with the game than constantly comparing with others. Besides can we talk about the song selection? So far it's PRETTY good. I love hearing the covers so much #-#
i tried multi live for the first time on the last day of the eng beta and i was so confused and we got one of the songs i had never played and my phone started lagging, i was shaking 😭😭✋
My skills for rhythm games are "normal" difficulty at best even though I've been playing rhythm games in general for many years. I'm trying to push myself to unlock the "play with your skill level" so I feel like I'm not weighing my team down.
As someone that used to only play in hard and now only plays in expert, the way i recommend to train your skill is to play a lot of expert songs in solo, and instead of using gems to continue from where you died, you re start the songs, because if you die in the middle of the song and continue with gems you'll still die in co-op and there you can't revive Also, play hard, and then go play the high level hard songs, and then when you can either full combo them or at least not die/miss little to nothing change to the expert low level songs
I just started playing and decided to try online, I played on easy obv, but I actually got a Full Combo on the song and most likely surprised the other experienced players, cause of my low level and Easy difficulty choice they probably thought I wasn’t good at rhythm games. well, I don’t suck at them, I just can’t do spam notes cause my brain doesn’t have enough time to process them. I think tomorrow i’ll try a song on Normal difficulty…
It takes time to process all the notes. Like before I used to play expert and it took me a while to get a hang of master. But now I’m a epic gamer. I believe in you
@@nekokillz I tried 2 songs on normal, didn’t hit all the notes on the first few attempts, but got a full combo first try on Tell Your World :D thank you for believing in me :)
congrats for getting a full combo! I can’t do spam notes either but ik you have really strong potential and I’m sure when you play more you’ll be on expert
They didn't care that you were playing easy and didn't even remember. They just saw full combo. Sometimes I'll do easy just for the free money. It's kind of embarrassing if you all perfect it and nobody remembers that you are playing easy. They are like wow. Yeah yeah. It was easy. Your Japanese so good! One time we had the intense voice of Hatsune Miku and I did it on normal and got mvp. Two people added me to friends.
I started playing when it got realeased globaly...I only play easy and normal and sometimes hard and I still can't get full combo lol. I suck but I am determind to get to expert level one day! I can be one of those people who can flex lol.
@@nekokillz i meant like getting full combo on expert. Yesterday I spent 8 hours playing and got my first full combo on normal and that's when I quit lol. You're amazing! I can't keep up with that speed yet but I hope I can get there 😆😆
I started playing at the closed beta global server, and im only playing normal, It's very rare to get full combo, but at least i'm happy with my characters. I understand how u are
Update 2 months later: I got full combo on all the hard maps :D i am also using 7.00 speed since I started finding 6 too slow. Extreme maps are too extreme for me tho lol
I've been playing for two months (not straight), just recently I've been starting to play daily for at least 2 weeks now so I got good practice ig?? I cleared my first expert on heart forecast today (I've fc the previous three lvls already) and I'm feeling good, I still wanna fc the expert tho I wish to get on this lvl one day! This is a breath of fresh air since always see perfects and fcs on showcases(? or gameplays idk)
I can't believe I took a month trying to full combo heart forecast, something always happened that made me loose a note, or a flick note (mainly those) dk why I'm replying to myself but I've fc'd many experts since then, and clear difficulties like 25-27 easily unlike before, cleared a few masters too (was too scared to touch them) again, idk why I'm sharing this but there's definitely a lot of improvement in just one month
Too be honest, I started pjsk a day after Xmas (Dec 26 2022) and I still feel really pressured too be playing on hard while every other person is either playing on expert or master, but I just learned how to get over it, so I’ve been practicing and it’s payed off, I’ve already fced 2 hard songs on the note speed 10 💕
Im rank 24, i entered coop with the og 1 star team the game gives you when i was new, imagine a two star miku entering your all master lobby and choosing normal 😭 i was so embarrassed i closed the game and didnt play for a few days I havent done a coop show _ever_
Well at first i always pick easy and normal because I'm beginner but when I'm playing longer i upgrade my difficulty to hard and extreme but i always practice extreme song on challange mode and solo mode
Came here wondering if I was gonna see someone get destroyed in a game I admittedly know next to nothing about, left with a distinct irrational fear of sekai players. Thank you.
I find it helps to turn off the 2D or 3D pvs cause they're distracting, as well as the cut ins. Other than that play where you're comfortable and then move up when you wanna challenge yourself. No sense comparing yourself to people with over a years experience at the game. 😌🥰 *cutely notices this was posted a year ago* tbh you played better than I did xD I didn't touch expert for like 4 months
Ok! So idk if you learned this yet but MVP in online is based on score at the end, not combo! The ppl who got MVP over ppl who got full combo got better scores because they had better units and probably hit more perfects
As someone who loves rythym games, project sekai got my attention, I started 2 days ago and already love it. It's hard to full combo for me. I cleared one masters tho but it was only 28 so, XD anyway. This is such a fun game. Don't be embarrassed of missing cuz that's what makes someone improve. Was funny being a one digit player for a bit
I remember just ten days ago, when I first started playing, I tried online after some playing solo, and I panicked so hard at how fast it put me in a game. It went by so fast and wouldn't let me leave; it was funny. Now just ten days later, I love multi-lobby and can pass master levels up to 28~
Guys reminder that Dont feel embarassed if u choose easy, normal or hard mode in the group that full of people choose expert or master, just choose depends on ur skills, dont feel scared if u gonna get made fun of just by choose easy, normal and hard
If anyone is embarrassed about choosing normal or hard when playing with other people DONT BE more people are worried about them selves doing good other then you doing good they are focused on their own stuff It took me a while to realize that😭
I don't know why, but I feel really out of place if I'm on a JP server. If I'm on a EN server I'm completely fine, and just don't really think about it... Even though it's literally the same thing, just different servers...
Wish I could properly Play sekai, just got a new tablet and installed it ,but it was so laggy I disabled the mv and all but it's still so laggy especially hold notes ,does anyone have any tips? My other rhythm games run smoothly (without mv ,mv doesn't work on any app for me on my phone or tablet like ENSTARS or argonavis)
Same here but i try to catch the timing when it stop lagging. Still doable in hard mode but expert mode is quite frustrating as bunch of notes will be missed even i try to catch the lag timing.
I was just really happy to see that in online it's co-op, not competitive, so failing still gets you stuff and playing better helps others as much as yourself!
ok here's an story cause why not: there was that time when i decided to play in normal (im pretty bad at the game so i need more practicing before starting with hard expert n master) and when I choosed to play on that difficulty someone sent the "..." mafuyu stamp like idk of they were mad at me but if they were, bro, not everyone is good at rhythm games🤨
I remember playing Online the first time, everyone but me had leveled up carts and then the team disbanded. Made me believe I nedded to Lv up my characters before trying again
Any tips for training up to expert because I can perfect go hard mode easily without fail as long as flicks actually register. Extreme is just too much of a jump with the double hands I just can't register-
Update, somehow cleared hibana and teo just by slowly figuring out my limits. I also got pretty far into disappearance, basically did the spam part with thumbs and just could do the hold sliders fast enough. Haven't been able to do extreme clears easily though because I'm really dumb and can't do stuff without messing up at least once or going to fast on small bits. Now I need to find out how in the world to do master
A tip that worked for me: I found most of the songs before finding the game, so I had already listened to some harder ones a lot. It was easy for me to get a high score on those songs because of that, just try play them in a comfortable mode on co-op to adjust to the rhythm and listen. It should be easier now.
I have been playing for less than a month and can finally play through expert levels. I just tried multiplayer today and I failed miserably 🤣 I was the last to finish loading. I chose hard mode just to be safe but because I was so nervous I messed up the whole thing even though it wasn't hard at all (the song was migikata no chou) 🤣. People must be shocked at how bad I was lol. I used a lv.60 card so they must assume I am a good player 😂 P.S: I'll update when I can finally play without being nervous.
I always feel super intimidated when playing co op on jp servers but then on en servers you have someone named among us spaming emu stickers and even tho there playing on master it still feels less intimidating
Well now I have to get better ;-; I remember seeing hisokee playing PD:FT doing extremes while I was stuck on hard...got motivated. Now Im motivated even more to get better at Sekai, though I just started, hard songs are pretty good, but I've been tempted to try expert
Normally i get slightly annoyed when the game says “*user* is on fire!!” Because it’s IN THE WAY AND I CANT FOCUS ANYMORE LOL or it starts lagging a bit, but I really enjoy coop since i meet really nice people most of the time!
I played online like once (bc it gives an achievement for this) and it was Machine Gun Poem Doll. I was so low leveled and played easy while others chose like Expert or Master
lmao im looking through comments on tips of how to get myself to do better in expert. ive only ever played piano tiles before but i managed to get to lvl 30 on sekai on my first day !! so hoping that means ill improve quickly
I started playing Sekai so I could improve my hand coordination due to me having terrible hand coordination. I feel so out of place since I’m the only one choosing the normal or even easy difficulty 😅 honestly I couldn’t complete a song on hard to save my life 🥲 my brain doesn’t process fast enough even on 5.5 note speed Update: K two months later and I can clear hard mode up to 19 w/ 8.3 speed! (Nothing more) and SBZ can now play master!
I've been playing for about a week and I just can't complete the starting task with the co-op show because I'm afraid to FILL EVERYTHING. So for this whole week I have already completed almost all the songs on the hard level........... And I'm going to do this until I can do a full combo on each of them
"Just a project sekai noob playing online but it's fun" A noob??? Dude!! I'm still struggling with the hard difficulty on multiple songs and here you are doing expert no problem! I feel inferior watching this xD I don't let it bug me online when I play on normal and everyone else is doing expert or master, I do whatever I feel comfortable with otherwise I am going to rage quit, and I've found out the hard way that the game will punish you for that, so better safe than sorry. This is a very supportive community though and I'm always happy to play with everyone. 12 years of listening to Vocaloid and y'all still never cease to amaze me. Let's continue to have fun :D
on co-op somehow everything i do seems so embarrassing to me for example when everyone has to wait for only me bc mine won't load or i play normal/hard while everyone else plays expert or master 😭 do people actually care about that? bc i always get the feeling that they think im a noob but i think im just telling that to myself 💀
Everyone starts somewhere! I was also like you, Everyone was playing on expert and I didn’t wanted to embarrass myself so I also picked expert but realised it was so hard I kept messing up and thought they would make fun of me even tho there’s no chat play at a difficulty level that you feel comfortable with because soon, you will become a pro! don’t care about the others that they’re better than you, you’ll slowly be like them!
i can play hard but i get far too embarrassed in co-op and scared that i’ll embarrass myself.. i’ve been playing for 5 days now and i love the game! but whenever i pick normal i get scared because of all the experts
