Yeah imagine a bunch of arsenal birds casually spawning at the start of the mission, like 8 or 9 of them. Sure, you used to crap your pants every time you saw one of them, but now they're reduced to common enemies and they spawn in a group.
One thing I’d like to mention that digging in the game files has revealed that this mission was designed with a LONG 4th phase in mind, involving CAS and an actual ground battle. That would have been cool had it been finished
There are a few games that can pull this off, to create a moment that feels like a movie or one where it feels real without it being scripted or a cutscene. I had many experiences like that in this game and its beautiful every time. Thanks for sharing this
This games soundtrack really set you the player up for some epic moments, my second (third) battle with Crimson over Prospero had me flying inverted over the volcano chasing crimson, 2 circle fights on the deck, and dodging his wingman in between geysers of lava
NGL if i joined the airforce and my job was to man the gigantic TARGET flying in the air for ace pilots to repeatedly make passes on, I would desert. fuck that shit
lol this game is 2 years old and *heavily influenced* by AC, which is a nearly 30 year-old title spanning a ton of amazing games across many platforms. You can argue what it might do better all day long, but there's no competition when it comes to popularity or fanbase.
Any fan of AC would thoroughly enjoy ace PW but PW is an indie game with siginificantly less funding and advertising as bandai namco and AC is a title that has been established throughout many decades
