hey karl buddy getting closer for sure . sounds like the clutch is slipping . im not sure not much of a engine guy but something is not engaging right . but i know once you get it right its going to be very cool . i know you think the motor is to small but i dont think thats it even small it should have pulled alot faster then that . even in reverse or first gear it should have pulled more steady . thats what makes me think the clutch is slipping . now i could be way wrong its just my best guess at whats going on buddy . glad to see it move on its own . take care ride safe buddy .
The clutch is engaging. The clutch didn't even release! It's geared too low. With it's current gearing in 1st gear, for every 254 engine rotations the wheels turn 1 time. I ordered some more gears to get that a bit higher. In it's current config I think it would break the chain or something else before it runs out of power.
