I love how he just descends down despite seeing 50 zombies, they should add controls to halt movement mid way or ascend back

Okay yeah I feel like that death was pretty bullshit, I hope they change it so you can climb up and down ropes at your own pace. Imagine climbing down a rope and seeing a dozen zombies at the bottom and just going "Welp, I have committed to this action, momma didn't raise a quitter!" instead of climbing right back up. Just video game things.

Watching your character climb down a sheet rope to their doom while being powerless to stop it is truly one of the Project Zomboid moments of all time.

I can’t wait for the Project Zomboid All Positive Traits and GodMode playthrough on April 1st.

Ironic, the defect that killed negative traits man was the one shared by all Zomboid survivors, the inability to look down.

You have to admire that kind of resolve. "No, I've already committed to climbing down this rope. I would never second-guess myself and stop halfway."

I like the idea that this guy didn't even know the zombie apocalypse was starting yet. He just woke up in his own bedroom and immediately panicked

Bring back the Project Zomboid storytelling videos where you narrate your struggles. Those were ASMR for the soul.

He found it too simple to beat a mere apocalypse, so he has decided to open a new page by taking up another challenge. He also is so humble as to relinquish his former titles and accept a new name. As a heads up, in the "you have one day" challenge, the zombies are alerted to your position every time you move tiles. They knew where you were at all times, so every time you gave them a path to you they all instantly started funneling for you.

I missed Worm Man more than anything. I've watched the worm man playlist so many times, the editing and narrative format of the Worm Saga is so good. Praise the return of Worm Man.

Loved your video series with "Gerald" back in the day, that's how I originally got into this game. Wouldn't mind another series following a new character, I don't think you need to handicap them so severely either. Keep up the great work!

Awesome episode AA, please do more like these, I love a good challenge run. Its crazy how well you can do with a character with many negative traits. I do PZ runs with far more positive traits and don't do half as well, like the supplies rng was great right there.

Apparently there is a mod that allows you to climb up and down ropes at will, instead of having to commit to the action fully. It's called "rope climbing and jumping".

I know it wouldnt be as fun a challenge the next time now that you have an idea of what to do. But woild be really neat to see if you could do this with the added challenge of how many you can take out before dying, or maybe even seeing if you can defeat the horde with such a terrible start.

Leave it to AmbiguousAmphibian to show us all why there’s mods for the sheet rope climbing. The game’s view range and the blindness of descent are a double whammy. I’d recommend using the mod that lets you stop and change direction, I’m fairly certain this was what it was made for

Dude... That ending is pain... So there's no "Stop" or "go back up" button? A "look where you're going" button would also be good. "Look down hole" or "Look up". Aaaaagh, PAIN... Good run though. In my eyes, you had it. I consider this a win for you.

What the game really needs is an industrial grinder/hammer mill and conveyor belts. You build a ramp up to the grinder and build a narrow passage to it, forcing the zombies to go single file up the ramp, and use some kind of barrier to force them to go that way to get to it. The belt goes under the bottom of the grinder; zombie slurry goes onto the belt and gets yeeted off into a burn pit/pile. Then you hang a radio over the pit, out of reach, and turn it on at max volume. Then you go hide somewhere and wait for the zombies to clear themselves out.

I adore PZ videos (even though I'm too scared to play). They soothe me to sleep when I have trouble entering the land of Hypnos.

Ah that old way to die ,,, happened to me once and i installed the climb up and down sheet rope mod as this makes sense that you should be able to climb back up if you spot danger below ..

One thing that always bothered me about the Smoker trait is that if you don't smoke it just gets worse and worse and never gets better. But after 3 weeks it should start to get better, I think, so you can start as a smoker and then quit gradually over time. Perhaps the punishments while not smoking could be more severe. But you do eventually get over your cravings (speaking as a smoker). Maybe they could even add something where if you find cigarettes even after quitting, your character can smoke them of their own volition and you can't stop them. So then you're hooked again and back to square one. Like when you have a weak moment IRL and have one and then you're just back to doing it again. Speaking as a long time smoker, it's really only the first 3-7 days you feel anxious/irritable. After that you're more or less dealing with the habit and some weak moments. If you can make it to 3 weeks you almost completely forget about reaching for a cigarette. But that feeling of WANTING to smoke never goes away, sadly. Like you get over the addiction but your brain still remembers how much it loves nicotine, so you just always have that nagging feeling that you'd love a smoke. Maybe after a bad day, or a particularly good day, or a good meal. You just think "fuck, I'd love to round this off with a smoke". That never goes away.

If you manage to find a sledgehammer for this challenge, knock out the stairs for every 2+story building you can... that way you wont have to do it when you bridge to those buildings later

Hey there you fancy lizard you. I've recently been playing around with an idea, now it might not be your cup of tea anymore, but I'm going to throw it out there anyway. Using the dynamic trait/More trait - dynamic submod, create a character that has your true and tested, all negative traits, with a caveat, only use negative traits that can be dynamically removed through self-improvement, create a truly From zero to Hero character as you become better in face of adversity of not only the apocalypse but also yourself.
