I think they should actually add the telecorn, something like a 1 in a million chance for your character to immediately pass out and wake up somewhere random when eating a corn. Nobody would believe you if you said it happened to you
I mean they could also implement that with getting black-out drunk, drink too much and you could wake up in a random bathroom with no clothes, or surrounded by dead zombies
One thing I want to know is what happened to general McGrew. Last we hear, he basically said 'Good luck surviving, bye!' And left on a helicopter. It'd be cool if there was a crashed heli on the new side of the map or as an event and there's a general John McGrew zombie walking around.
Its funny you mention that as from what little lore we have from the Devs. Im pretty sure it’s stated that he’s still alive and was one of the lucky ones immune to the airborne strain. But we will probably never get to see him due to the virus now having gone worldwide and destroying everything so i would say he has his hands full elsewhere
@@scpfoundation4063 I think that's part of the part that sucks (In a fun lore way): There probably WAS a big population of the immune (to the airborne strain), but they got turned into zombies anyways due to being eaten by the sudden sprout of undead and their ovewhelming numbers. I'd be willing to bet that 1/5 of the people were immune, but more than 1/2 of the immune got taken out before they even knew they were as such. If McGrew is out there, he is BUSY like us.
@@voxfoxclips8684 Don't forget, that of the people who are immune to the airborne strain, how many of them are of "fighting age" and have the ability to survive long term...and how many of them are already sick/infirm/too young/too old?
The melancholy desolation of Project Zomboid is one of the biggest strengths of the game. I am honestly kind of worries what adding NPC's will do. They're going to need to be very careful not to ruin the great atmosphere that currently exists.
@@planescaped Same yeah. I hope that they are rare, and in often hopeless situations. I.e you might find a pair trying to shoot their way out of a hoard only to be overrun, or stumble upon some guy on the side of the road between cities, already bitten, and he asks you to finish him. Of course the devs have stated they want to implement a system similar to Rimworld and allow you to assign tasks to your group so we will find healthy NPCs, but I hope they will require rescue or some favour first before joining you.
3:30 The devs confirmed you will be able to come across them as Survivors when the Human NPCs are officially added in, implying the possibility of us saving them.
I’d say the elevators in the military base are one of the biggest secrets as well. The base has really lackluster loot for being such a big secure private location with the amount of zombies it has inside, and it’s only one story but has elevators which makes you think there’s more down below. There’s also several unique sprites for lab testing equipment that you can only find inside of the base. There’s way more to it than is being let on plus there was so much community hype when it was first seen only for it to never really have anything special in it. I think sometime in B42 with basements there’s going to be a lot more to be discovered inside of there that will probably reveal a lot more in game lore about what exactly happened with the Knox Outbreak. Really mysterious place that I think is going to have a lot of in game importance later on.
They even straight up said that there will be some locations with fixed, permanent, multi-level basements. They also mention potential sprawling, underground complexes, but I don't know if they were referencing the same thing. (They could just be referencing other unrelated bunker complexes)
I think the devs wont ever reveal exactly how the virus started, could be the military had found the virus before it got out of hand and were already working on a vaccine, but it's also possible they made the virus which would explain the large amount of dead. human test subjects maybe? as animals are immune, at least partially. dogs are stated to get sick, but devs confirmed no zombie animals. I think the proximity of humans and dogs allowed the virus to jump species, but it isnt as effective outside humans.
My theory; This base is not a research lab. This is an ICBM launch silo. The elevators lead down to the launch controll room, radio rooms, command center, etc
There used to be a cure in the very very very very very very beginning of the game and this was part of the science lab part of it and it was a singular career and you could be immune
the helicopter too, is it the military trying to eradicate the zombies? is it a news station trying to document the knox outbreak and see if there are any survivors left? who knows
Vanilla copter imo is journalists. They violate the no fly zone and get in undetected to film what's really going on, and all they find is the zombies, just hundreds and thousands of them. An utterly hopeless situation. Then they spot a survivor, this one flicker of hope in hell. Proof that some people are immune to the airborne strain. Why wouldn't they focus in on you? You are the torch, extinguished to light the beacon.
2:40 I'm pretty sure this house existed before covid... Hoarding TP during emergencies didn't start with covid, been done for years and years and years and years.
I don't know if it's a mystery or the developers wanting us to be paranoid, but every time I play with "Keen Hearing", I can hear very faint zombie moans in heavy rain, it is impossible for there to be zombies because there is a large perimeter around from my base. Does anyone feel the same or maybe I have schizophrenia? P.D: I'm using Google Translate
I feel this too, I always take Keen Hearing and I feel like I'm constantly hearing footsteps in the grass or a faint zombie groan even though my base is totally clear and secure
@@GabrielLopez-rd1wx 😁👍 It's even worse when you're playing with friends and talking to them and youre like "did you just hear footsteps?" and they all treat you like you're crazy XD
I've heard people mantion that rarely you might hear other messages than the standard and even the ocasional rarer army messages on the Automated Emergency Brodcast, i remember someone claiming he got a message of someone screaming on there, I personally couldn't find anything on it, wonder if there is any truth to it and what those extremly rare messages are.
Well from experience I can say, that there are army transmissions - But sadly it seem they are only flavour events. It's mostly bursts like "...bzzzt...*anomalous activity detected in sector 26.*...bzzzt" but nothing ever happens afterwards, so as of now they are just for immersion. Unlike infos like blackouts which signal the coming power outage. Hope this helps :D I personally would love if this were to be integrated with the NPC framework way down the line though.
In random broadcast encounter from Zach referring to the Fortificatiom near the national air force base, I think thats the abandoned fort from east side of Louisville komp mentioned.
On an old build I remember my first trip to March ridge being really weird. I went there to loot the community centre for it's gym equipment. Everything was going to plan, I had cut a path through the horde and was filling up my fan. The game froze temporarily, then when it came back the whole town was empty, not a single zombie. All the loot from my van was completely gone. I know it was probably just a glitch from an old unstable build, but it felt somewhat like a random event where something, or someones came by & eradicate every zombie in the area then wipe your characters memory.
I have toilet paper house in my rosewood currently - inside gas station shop (north one). All food and water / ice cream now a toilet paper. Around from 500 to 1k pieces
When I first found the toilet paper house, I actually thought my game bugged and replaced all of the loot with toilet paper. The fact it was intentional is pretty hilarious.
Another fun fact about the second Airfield broadcast, the title for that broadcast (the one with the red text) is nicknamed "kanibals" in the game files, which might suggest something else happened to the previous group there...
Finding the prisoner house in cryogenic winter kinda saved me, their jumpsuits were warmer than my clothes and it saved me. The toilet paper house ended up screwing me over in max population, it’s definitely real because I was starving to death and that was one of the last houses I looted, to say the least I was NOT happy when I found that.
It depends on the origin of the disease, if it was some book of revelations stuff then most likely, like if this was the most deadly of Gods seven players or something, that'd be sick, a holdout in the church with Crucifix' hung up everywhere, and the zombies shamble away in fear. Wait, graveyards! A lot of graves have crosses on them, so graveyards would be a safe haven.
The biggest mystery to me is why can i kill 1000 zombies, but if just one touches me i cant get it off and it kills me. It’s happened atleast six times now
Spacebar does not help with a good shove? You can try with multi-hit on (so you can shovel multiple zombies at once) and drag down off, so they can't drag you to the ground
@@maninthesnow4393 search the sandbox options for any stun related checks, and start a new game to test it. There is a mod that let's you enter sandbox settings during the game, so you can test every one of them without having to load a new game every time. You could test it with zombies that do not attack you, walk through them, and see if you get stuck, or see it as an extra difficulty setting
I hope in build 42 they would add voiced audio and video music If they're lacking man power they could always turn to RU-vidrs that would be awesome. Hearing my favourite project zomboid content creators in the game
Something that wouldn’t surprise me is that the army finds zombies they can’t/don’t have the resources to get rid of so they herd them into the map, which is why we have a never ending slide of zombies.
That ending was intense! The priest's last words, "Hallowed be... thy name..." while being eaten alive, made for a truly epic moment. Project Zomboid knows how to keep us on the edge! 😱📻🧟♂
This week he hosted his second annual global innitative forerun in New York. More than 7 billion dollars was pledged to tackle some of the worst problems in developing countries. Such as poverty, disease, and climate change.
Knew all of these unfortunately, zomboid just too small. Mystery 6 is related to Mystery 1 btw, the random numbers are coordinates to Fort Knox. Also, thats my base in pvp servers, stop telling ppl to go look for it.
I noticed the Wiki has something wrong, I cant find the video that said it, but the Wiki and that video said that the Outreach center is a business thats name is in the files, but location i unknown. Anyways, I found the location to be a building connected to The St. Vincent De Paul Church in South Louisville
one time when i was first starting out in zomboid, i had a radio playing for awhile in my base on a channel i dont remember, i was cleaning myself in the kitchen when the text from the radio turned red and my character began to panic, and eventually died and i got the message "you have succumb to the propaganda" in the chat.
"Biggest mysteries" implying lore related. First mystery is just evidence of map development, irl nods from the devs, or just going to unserious reddit comments instead of just teleporting there ingame. Third mystery is again an irl nod from the devs or fake. 4th mystery is recycled coverage from a previous video from Komp. 6th mystery is not a mystery at all it's pre-game lore again recycled video content previously covered by Komp. Komp, find another game already. You used to be a go-to for PZ related topics, but have resorted to pure clickbait titles and recycled videos. You have explained all there is to explain about Project Zomboid, it's time to move on..
searching the fallus lake on PZ Map Project i found some south of Louisville in the forest it looks like a fish and the 3 above Muldraugh 1 of them looks kinda like a chick or something first i mind a embryo
