having trouble with the controller/input config. i push setup and it doesn't detect my N64 controller. i cant configure it and it just deletes all the options. any solution?
For someone who has no idea what i'm doing.... You didn't explain how you got the games themselves downloaded onto your computer? Is there a separate website where you download the game files? where do you obtain them?
@@tightywhitey9779 just look up N64 roms. I'm not going to say the name of a site but if it has a icon of a green game controller or a blue and white looking PAC man symbol than those are good sites.
@@tightywhitey9779 oh and when downloading roms. I find pressing the download button a lot of times helps with redirection as it shouldn't redirect a download should just start unless it redirects you to a file looking screen which shows download, the file size and usually a URL of what ever game then that's fine but yeah make sure it doesn't redirect you anywhere but if it does just click out of the new tab that it opens. You all are not going to believe this, but when I downloaded project 64 For the first time on my laptop And downloaded this game called mortal kombat Trilogy And I looked up the Game shark codes for it And it literally had a game shark code called infinite time To choose your fighter for Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
you the goat, im also using a xbox one controller so this was super helpful. gonna need to get used to these binds though. does the right joystick work for looking around?
on the windowed resolution you can literally just type in whatever you want, im using a 65" tv screen and i just typed in my resolution, now i have windowed full screen and I can run a second screen at the same time, in full screen mode it will minimize the other screens programs
Okay so everything went well until it was time to startup a game. Screen shows the black box pops up but then it just crashes and nothing happens. How do I fix??
In version 1.6 I was able to save the control settings for each game (.JSF), whenever I change games, I always have to configure the buttons again because I don't fit with the buttons. How do I do this in this version?
Just bought an actual N64 console for more than a 100 bucks and the video doesn't work. I remembered in Korea playing the emulators for years...was surprised to see Project64 was still kicking it and I am playing Rush. I have to get used to the controls again but I was going to have to that either way. Thanks for this.
_i know this is a stupid question,_ but if you already have an older version of P64 in your pc, will you be able to play both versions (like, use the old to play game *X* and use the new to play game *Y*) or do you have to uninstall the old version to play the new? (i know save states from old version won't work on new version, but i'm saying like, can you play a different or the same game using different P64 versions without any problem?)

Hey man, I've been messing around with the video plugin settings in the configuration option and when I set the video plugin to GLideN64, the menus appeared on my pc as they are shown here. But I wasn't able to play anything, so I think I'm gonna have to revert to the default Project64 video plugin option. I'm just trying to get Goldeneye to play smoothly without lagging, any suggestions?
Is there a way of setting up Switch Pro controllers to this emulator? Anytime I hook mine up to it and try to configure inputs, the menu goes all over the place and I can't insert the button commands.
Im having trouble opening project 64, i downloaded the emulator yesterday in which it would load up perfectly. I made a mistake by download the dev builds by accident and now for some reason it would open up as i get the prompt and the application would show after hitting continue
@philipp286 hey Phillpp I was going to post this on here for everybody to reply but maybe you can help me out. I got Donkey Kong 64 and it plays and loads up the only problem is that the subtitles are in another language other than English. Any recommendations on how to fix this🤔
I got a wireless N64 controller off Amazon, but I can't get it's rumblepak feature to work. It is the safefun brand "2.4 GHz Wireless USB Controller Compatible with Switch Online, USB N64 Controller for Windows PC MAC Linux Raspberry Pi Retropie Switch NSO, Rechargeable, Plug and Play" Does anyone know how to get the rumblepak to work in project 64?
The only thing I couldn't get to work properly was the joystick to move down right diagonal direction is there something I am missing I was using a generic usb n64 gamepad
how do you figure out your controller's deadzone and range because ive had 3 controllers at this point and nothing has worked, and i can't get support anywhere because the discord for n64 has an invalid invite.
I have done everything in the video for P64 3.0.1 but the problem i am having is that the visuals don't appear in the same proper way that they should and it's been concerning me for a while and why i can't get this version to work. I'm wondering if there's something i'm missing with the set up i have even followed the video to the letter

i have a pro nintendo controller and when i click setup i think the emulter think that thr e controller is imputing a rotation thing so i cant even choose it just scrolls thru
ty manes for the video buts its not showing on the n64 list but it opened up in the folder idk maybes i miss a step i puts all the 64games folders in one folder put the folder on 64p and its blank on the list

Hey bro I downloaded everything and when I started the game I got an audio crackling I followed all your steps is there something I probably did wrong but I know I followed every step correctly it's just I'm getting audio crackling in the game
The controller set up (2:23) on this emulator is complete ass. I'm trying to use an Xbox Series X controller and it's constantly skipping to the next input and putting in the wrong input. Also, I couldn't map my "start" button because it would cause me to exit the set up. Why isn't there a way to put in each input individually (and then save it) opposed to need to put in all the inputs in one go?
I'm having a bit of a problem with when i go into Fullscreen, the game starts to glitch and sound weird. if someone knows what the problem is, then please reply to this comment with the solution
Hello, I recently got Project64 1.6. I am trying to play NFL Blitz. I can play one controller but not two. I think it may be that I am using a USB hub. I have no idea if what I said makes sense but do you think you can help me here?
I'm trying this on a galaxy s21 tablet and it's not working. Does it not work for this specific device or am I doing something wrong? Any information would help thanks....
@@ShandellJamesMake sure to add in the description Kaze Emanuar’s video called How this emulator can get you hacked so users can watch him say why Project 64 1.6 is no longer safe to use. You can watch it yourself, in short though he’s explained that 1.6 just plays roms and hacks but can’t tell if rom hacks are scripted specially with computer hacking scripts, so he said to be safe, use its patch, version 1.7 and above instead or even a different emulator.
