Projection Welding -Upside-Down NUT Detection Electrodes 

This is our upside-down nut detection system for projection welding. A simple solution using an insulated stainless steel shield.
When the nut is right-side up, the body of the nut will fit inside the stainless ring and contact the copper electrode, making the weld.
If the nut is upside down, the projections will hit the stainless steel ring and not allow current to pass. Also the overall height of the assembly is now increased, and the system will stop.
