The best version ever of this humungous piece ! It literally made her take away the first prize of this competition (I saw her performance live on tv, I had never heard the piece before and I was just floored breathless - listen to the applause at the end). Anna Vinnitskaya is probably one of the most sensitive and most underrated pianists out there now.
This is one of Prokofiev's finest pieces and it has been among my favorites since I was 19. That's 50 years and you can bet I've heard plenty of performances of this and when I heard Vinnitskaya's studio recording of this (also with Varga) I found myself thinking, Someone finally got it right!" The 3rd movement in particular. She's plays it slower and more deliberate than I've heard it played before and she just 'nails' Prokofiev's attitudes. Bravo Anna!!!
Anna Vinnitskaya is a formidable and excellent performer. Besides being quite beautiful physically, she brings a new beauty to this monster of a concerto, so very difficult to play. Yet, she makes it all look so easy, and that goes without saying because she has technique to spare and is a very gifted artist. BRAVA, ANNA!
Bravo à Anna pour cette prouesse musicale et technique ! Le Concerto pour piano selon moi le plus difficile à jouer. Les trois autres mouvements sont joués à la perfection; de plus, ils sont - pour une fois - filmés intelligemment !

Prokofiev is my style.. also Gm, Cm and Am are my favorites. I think this piece needs to be played like you're crazy.. playing it as you were killing ants one by one fast. I love proko
the only thing i would say is that she missed quite a few of notes in the cadenza, but overall its an excellence render. I would recommend you guys to check out her cd version where she played it SPOT ON, fucking nice. I prefer this over Yujas version any day
Hmmm...insane because I don't much like the concerto...or fredericfranc..or think this performance of it isn't the be all, end all? What a curious troll... To each his own. But you seem full of short, pithy comments on YT...or at least full of something...:-)
Actually, it is a rather bangorous one by a talented pianist. But troll on---not a concerto that bears repeated listening except in parts......interesting tho', that in your bipolar obsession for Yuja, you not only use this against her (as if it matters + or -) but you praise with overdone slavishness as much as you vacuously tear down by a bogus posture of pseudo 'pianistic' understanding! I think it is time to chat with Brett6464 again; much in common. ("freakout" your new fav!)!? ;-]
