wow!!! What a fabulous performance. Both the piano soloist and the orchestra have worked unbelievably well to produce this marvelous recording. Both the sound and the video are particularly stunning!

Wundervoll gespielt sowohl von der Solistin als auch des gesamten Orchesters. Ich habe mir das gerade zum 5. Mal angehört und geschaut. 😍😍😍😍😍 Auch ein Riesenlob an die Kameraführung

Some of the cleanest and creative playing of this fiendish opus; especially the almost note perfect cadenza. Tempo a little slower at times, but enjoyed the easily absorbed listening of the musical nuances.

Anna's playing of this concerto is magnificent and as always this orchestra is outstanding. All I can say is, I am enamored with Prokofiev's music. It doesn't get any better than this. Thank you again for another wonderful concert. Love your channel.

Hermoso concierto. Gracias. Saludos desde Ciudad de Córdoba (Argentina).

Fascinating approach to the work. Structuralist rather than frenetic. Really interesting tempo choices that underline the architecture, especially a different vision of the Cadenza

notarie 2: You always make your comment after the same scheme, If I have read one of your comments, I have read them all. Are you aware of that yourself? At first it seems to be a splendid commentary, but after reading it hundreds of times in different commentaries about music, it is not so fascinating. I now have to point this out, even if it kills me. I am so sorry, but sooner or later this has to be pointed out. I myself am for sure not the best in commenting music, but Im not the stereotype you are. Take this as an advice to be more personal in your comments, this is not a newspaper, and you are not the critic that has to behave properly. This is a commentator field where you can behave the way you want, even if it is annoying.

A very emotional and deeply intimate performance. However, I found the tempo choice (extreme rubatos that slowed down the passion & fire that Prokofiev wanted to project) in the cadenza in the first movement a bit weird.
@staffanolofsson8201
@staffanolofsson8201 Год назад
Maybe you are right about the rubatos, when I listen to this cadenza at 5:50 again I can understand your point. But as I have only listened to Anna Tsybuleva and Anna Vinnitskaya in this I have to say that I like them both vet much.
@staffanolofsson8201
@staffanolofsson8201 Год назад
After comparing: both Anna Tsybuleva and Anna Vinnitskaya starts this candenza in a slow tempo, but after some time Anna Vinnitskaya has reached a much higher tempo, a more intense rendition of this cadenza, and I prefer her version!
@staffanolofsson8201
@staffanolofsson8201 Год назад
My special love in this is a theme that occures at 24:17. It is almost a lullaby as I see it, and I still wonder if Prokofiev was inspired by some sort of this melody or if he invented this melody himself.

Compared to theatrical hooker-dressed Yuja Wang, this is truly phenomenal. I trust to every single note by Anna. Love it!
@arthurhogan3047
@arthurhogan3047 Год назад
At one point, I thought I was the only one Critical of Yuja Wang's appearance on stage to perform this music. I made some people quite angry when i quipped: " I came to a musical performance, live. And a Fashion show broke out " . The only criticism I have for this lady is, analogous to what Glenn Gould frowned upon.Too much self expression by pianist of today's crop. He was marginally correct to an extent. The music is the Star here. After conquering this concerto, perfectly. There is no need for theatrics. Throwing around one's arms and over expressively lifting up the hands. Like Rachmaninov's third concerto. Many pianist wouldn't touch it due to it's difficulties. Particularly after Horowitz's playing the piece that literally blew everyone away. ' same for this concerto. Super duper difficulties. Now anyone who can read it. ( usually), Can master it.

The orchestra doesn’t seem to be playing together as well as they normally do. In comparison for me to their performance of Shostakovich’s 7th symphony. The symphony there seem like one giant cohesive unit. There’s even a disconnect between the piano player and the conductor.
