On your measurements you said it’s 180cm deep Prologic say it’s 240 cm deep on their website spec

They say that after 4 years of hard planning, the tent is complete. Unfortunately, basic things escaped the attention of the designers, that's why there are shortcomings, but maybe they will fix them, I wrote 4 things that they didn't do well.

Thanks alot for this video, i have been on the fence for abit about this bivvy as well as a few others at a similar price point. They all seem to have a mix and match of similar features but tbh this is the one i think. I had it down to either this or the Quest Defier mainly because of the zip in ground sheets but the SLR being flat back has pushed it over the top.

Hello! 4 things I would have done differently. 1: on the side and rear windows, I would rather fold the tarp up than down. Catches water in the rain. 2: The winter cover is missing, does it come with it? 3: The windows are missing the transparent plastic film, you won't be able to see through it in the rain! 4: I would zip the windows from inside the tent. In terms of material quality, I've heard it's not as good as the Fox Frontier. In everything else, I think it competes with the other big brands in terms of price, value ratio and assembly. I'm really looking forward to seeing it live. Best regards, Tibor

Brilliant review Simon. You’ve sold it to me as I am in the market shortly for a replacement to my pram style bivvy I have currently. This is prefect! Random off topic question though, being also 6’ 4 myself, what size of those joggers do you wear, and which ones are they? They look to fit really well and I struggle with leg length.

Its a shame the bivvy looks a good bit of kit, but the RRP is £549 and the shops sell it for £599 and more….. sad times

A lot more reasonably priced than some similar bivvies on the market and comes as a full kit with no extra purchase necessary 👍

Hi mate. Yes you can zip it at the front too so it goes all the way round. The only bit that doesn't zip in is the door obviously so it can still open 👌

Hi mate, yes it's a great bivvy and the 20,000 HH is spot on. I'm currently sat in mine by a lake in the pouring rain and dry as toast 😉 Not sure about a winter wrap but the condenser wrap does a good job and I have heard rumours of a social wrap and camo version on the way 😉😉

I may do that mate. The material is definitely a lighter weight which has its benefits including being a lower cost but obviously isn't as thick as the Inspire material so won't perform the same. I prefer the Element for summer and shorter sessions then the Inspire comes onto it's own when the weather is bad 👌

I have received one. Will try it in Norway soon:) What would be interesting is a video with a complete assembly and dissassebly (with the condensation wrap on) Can you unpack with front door on? Edit, yes. It came with the front door installed. Suggestion to spray the bivvy closed with for example nikwax tent and gear solarproof?

Im looking for feedback with regards to front storm poles.(Non existent) How does this cope with a windy gusty day as this is the only issue that is stopping me from making a purchase on one of these bivvys. As much detail would be great. Thank you.

Hi thanks for your question. The bivvy doesn't need Storm poles as it is completely free standing and rigid on its own like similar designs of bivvy on the market it doesn't need Storm poles as it gets it's strength from the front ribs touching the ground and the rear pegging preventing it blowing over. I've used it for 9 or 10 months now in all conditions without a problem 👍

This is looking like my next bivvy i think, has anybody had any problems with it? had my fox eos for just over a year and it ended up in the trash. Really disappointed with it, the laminate on the inside started pealing off then soon followed with the seams, and leaked like a tea bag. Not had much prologic but if its anything like my winter suit it should be awesome?

I measured the depth with the front door and side rolled up so that will add extra room once you peg out the sides and zip the door down. It really is spacious for a 1 man bivvy and I take more gear than most with all my camera equipment and it's plenty big enough 👍

I've got the Proligic brolly system 20,000mm and that has so much condensation after one night bed was wet in the morning and it was dripping inside bad, was looking at this bivvy but dont want to waste my money if the same as the brolly system.

All bivvies will suffer condensation in certain conditions and that's a fact. The addition of a condenser wrap on this one helps to a certain extent. The material really is fantastic from what I've experienced so far and very little to no condensation but impossible to completely eliminate it due to the very fact the outside air is colder than the inside.

@@SimonDewCarpFishing Thanks for the information, i brought the bivvy went on a 2 day fishing trip tonight before weather gets to bad and went to put ground sheet in all zips where great accepted the one on left had side panel does not zip up, zip on a different way to the zipper on the ground sheet so had to come home, never got to try the bivvy out.

@@SimonDewCarpFishing I spoke to the place i got it and now they are saying groundsheet in upside down lol, every video i've watched it shows the label down on front and elastic straps face down too and when fitted you see label because its zipped in with the 10cm lift at front. I put ground sheet in because alot of rats where i was fishing. Is there any felco at the front of the ground sheet for the door to attached to when door down.

@@trevorleggett6515the elastic straps should be face down mate they are for pegging should you wish to and wouldn't work on top as the zip would be in the way. 🤔I'm a little confused as to the problem with it without seeing it mate. Maybe worth an email to customer services and see what they say. There is no velcro at the front of the groundsheet the door just overlaps 👍

@@SimonDewCarpFishing One more question. Is this tent the same fabric as the inspire 1 bivyy? Because I noticed that in inspire 1 bivyy during full sun, after closing the tent it becomes night, and here, however, despite the same material, you can see the clearance.

Sorry but they've dropped a clanger with the roll down windows, Looking for a new bivvy and for that reason I won't be getting this one. I do 72 hour sessions and that roll will be full of crap by pack down time, shame they didn't adopt the pull away and peg out at the the bottom for ventilation. Lovely looking bivvy though

It's a shame you feel that way mate. I think it's a great design and have been using it for over a year now and find it's perfecter my needs. You won't get a better bivvy for the price tbh
