im a big fan of campisi's research...I read Many of her papers. she inspired me to study senescence. I Hope i Go well in my PhD

At the end - whats evolution telling us? more senescent cells = more difficult to extend life?

Rat life extension has been 90% with carbon 60.

At 6:00 it states there are no senescence specific markers. What about beta-galactosidase?

They made a video later that states beta-galactosidase is evidence, but still should be used with other testing techniques (like qPCR for increased gene expression of p-16/p-21/p-53, or staining techniques to see if DNA repair proteins HMGB1 or yH2AX reside outside the nucleus): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ud4b8ZoT61I.html

Here's what all mammals, including humans need for longevity: 1) a job that's within one's DNA parameters for success; including pay, challenge and duration, 2) a loving spouse...who's healthy enough for conversation, lot's of different sexual experiences and a consistent smile, 3) Healthy, non GMO foods that are prepared at home...for the most part and done with care and fun, 4) Not too much seriousness in life; God made us...not to worry. 5) Stay away from magnetic radiation and the derivatives of such: 5G, 4G, high power output power poles and anything that creates a large magnetic flux; almost impossible now, 6) Activities outside of work,...that fuel the mind, challenge us mentally, physically and spiritually. Do/have this...you CAN"T be "short-changed". Have these NOT....you cannot have a vital, long life. No one needs a Ph. D to know this stuff. This knowledge is innate.
