I thought it would be a little stronger than it is but the results are in line with a good high end canister. I'd buy one if I were in the market it seems like a pretty good value

The EBK 360 would always be my choice of PN to use for this machine.

Thank you so much for this Bill!! Nice to see these results. I agree with Blackheart, I thought we’d see higher numbers. But still it is a very capable machine! I wonder if proteam vacuums would pull lower numbers if they had a the hepa bag in addition to the hepa filter like this one does. Proteam micron bags aren’t very restrictive

Guess who has vacuum america clean hepa bags for their proteam

Nice! I have a proteam FS6 coming for a new job. Ordered Clean obsessed Hepa bags for it (maybe same manufacturer as vacuum america clean?). I wonder what the difference in flow is between the proteam micron bag and the Hepa? I’ve been pretty happy with prolux Hepa bags though. I cut one apart for our Tritan and it is indeed 5 layers. Bag chamber stays pretty clean. I expect the X8 is similar

@@gregslabaugh7565 They certainly seem to be the same thing between the two brands. Vaclab and I have generally seen an increase in performance if only slight when using a hepa bag their structure allows them to breathe better, I was thinking I could take some readings off my FS6 and compare them to past numbers, but then i realized I no longer have any idea what was in them when I took those readings

Excellent and optimal results for the EBK 360. No wonder it's super popular ph. EBK 250 only seems to work for limited choice of carpets. It's nimble for tight place and no need to change it for the hard floors. But Prolux X8 & EBK 360 for the win😎😎

Just received my prolux x8 elite with the EBK 250 powerhead. Just for sh&^'s and grins, I vacuumed the living room and dining room with the vacuum I have been using for 10 years. I vacuumed the two rooms twice with a new bag installed. Then I removed the dirty bag inserted a new bag and vacuumed the two rooms again but only once. I checked the bag, it picked up very little dirt, basically carpet fibers. The first bag had the typical fine dust, cat hair, and general dirt. I would say about 3 cups worth dirt. Second bag again the typical carpet fibers, nothing worth mentioning. Then here comes the prolux X8 Elite with the EBK 250 powerhead. While vacuuming I could hear like if you vacuumed around a dog dish. I could hear sand and debris being sucked up through the hose. When I finished and checked the bag, the bag had the same amount of dirt as the first bag with the old vacuum. But this bag did not have the fine dust like dirt but instead course dirt, crumbs, sand, cat hair and alike. The heavy dirt that falls to the very bottom of the carpet. Conclusion. just because a vacuum bag is full doesn't mean the vacuum is cleaning the carpet. My old vacuum was only picking up the dirt that was just laying on the top of the carpet and not down to the base of the carpet.The carpet feels softer and just looks cleaner.

Great story! What was your previous vacuum that didn't do so well?

type in my name Steve feldmeier in RU-vid I made a video. Not as good as your videos, but I wanted to see how efficient is my current vacuum. What got my attention is when I purchased the Bissell hydrosteam pet cleaner, it was picking up stuff from the carpet that the vacuum should have gotten. I always vacuum the heck out of the carpet before I shampoo it. Of course I had an older version of a Bissell shampooer that didn't have much suction either. But I Purchased this Bissell hydro steam a few month ago and I was amazed how well it cleaned. It also had shown me how crappy my old vacuum was. So when I received my Prolux X8 I wanted to put it to the test. The results are in the video.

I knew I needed to get a better vacuum, It was your video on the X8 Elite that that made me decide that this was the Vacuum I needed. When you mentioned on how much suction this thing had, I knew right there That's what I need. I live in Gillette, Wy. we don't have the standard light gray dust that you normally see. My dust is coal dust. There are 3 open pit coal mines 5 miles north and 6 coal mines south ranging from 3 mile to 60 miles away. So when I dust the dust rag and the water in the bucket turns black because of the coal dust. This is why one needs industrial grade cleaning equipment and the soaps. I live in an industrial environment.

My honest vote on this machine, too much power lol. Mid 80's CFM back by 40 inches of lift at the nozzle, plus high density. It'd be like pushing a Kirby without the tech drive. Makes for great cleaning capabilities however.
@logansorenssen
@logansorenssen 11 месяцев назад
I'd think paired with something that pulls itself along a bit more - EBK360, RPB-100, etc, it wouldn't be too bad. But those are also bigger, and so would have somewhat lower density. That'd make it more like a Royal 2075 or so, which isn't too awful to push.
@VacLab
@VacLab 11 месяцев назад
Yup, exactly. CFM density is far too high (above 8). Kirbys are above a 4, which sticks to the carpet badly if the tech drive is off.

@VacLab like pushing a Heritage 2 around, almost brutal.

Bill, really enjoy your videos, especially with the knowledge of vacuum cleaners you have. Here is a suggestion for a video. Me being a homeowner with a certain type of carpet, how would I know what type or should say what power do I need in a vacuum for the type of carpet I have. Like if you have this type of carpet you need a vacuum with a suction rating of this. Would it be possible to rate carpet A, B, C, along with vacuum A, B, C,?
@vlreviews
@vlreviews 7 месяцев назад
Remember, suction is a pressure, not a movement. What you want is a simple formula. Reasonable agitation combined with as much airflow as you can push. Best carpet cleaners are traditional dirty fan types like Kirby, Sanitaire and Royal, with some rare exceptions. To date. I've performed extensive measured testing with medium pile and more recently, low pile commercial carpets. Results speak for themselves.

Made In China. Sad to see so much in made in China! Wonder how long kirby will still be made in USA?

I could be wrong but about 50% of Kirby is china now. Really crappy Plastic handles and attachments now too.

But honestly, I just don’t get why people are keep blaming China for cheap products. If the American brands are made cheap in China, the owner of that company are the ones that are allowing it. Chinese products are meant to be cheap for those people who wants to spend less money. And the owner of that brand also wants to sell their products cheaper to earn money faster. So that’s why they’re allowing china to make them with cheap parts. Whereas the American products are more meant to be built with higher end materials and sell them way more expensive. Just stop being so racist y’all!
@Pigglet4056
@Pigglet4056 10 месяцев назад
@@brentcho1275 I don’t think it’s racist, it’s because it’s cheaper to make in china so it’s way more common, usa quality however is very similar in todays world, and I find 90% of china vacuums good, BUT, it’s also because of branding that gives it a bad name such as Bissell or shark, two really shady lying companies.
@brentcho1275
@brentcho1275 10 месяцев назад
@@Pigglet4056 It could be right but however, I kinda thought that it would be better if people called these items Deductive cheapies rather than Chinese cheapies though. It just sounds like they’re blaming China and China isn’t making stuff cheap to make them worse but for a reason.
