This movie made me think of my prom. I was dating this guy and we started to lose feelings for each other and my friend told me he was going to break up with me after prom so I beat him to the punch and broke up with him a week before. Two days later he ended up getting a date and I was upset about it. When I was at prom my mom wanted a professional photo of me in my dress and of course my ex stood in line behind me with his date and watched me take a photo alone. I was upset at my table after taking it and one of my friends asked me what's wrong and I told him and he said to come with him and I asked why and he said to take a photo with him and it made me really happy! He paid for the photo and made my night better. Later on there were slow songs playing and I hid because I didn't have anyone to dance with and after the song was over he came looking for me and saying he was looking all over for me to dance with and luckily another slow song played and we slow danced and it was amazing. We have now been dating for a year and 7 months and I couldn't be any happier with Alex :)
2020 here, but now that I see this movie as a teen (still not old enough to go to prom yet) I see now was how unrealistic a lot of the teen movies I’ve saw throughout my childhood were (especially with the “casting adults to play teens” part) 😂
I love this movie so much , prom is one of my favorite childhood movies and I still love it now. I love Jesse he’s so cute , and I love his relationship with Nova and I love Lucas and Simone too
So is nobody going to talk about how Danielle Campbell (Davina from The Originals) was so young in here, I literally remember watching this movie when I was little 😭, omg how time passes by 💕
i never went to my prom and i was depressed thinking it was the end, meh, i’d say do what you wanna do man, you’ll find a date maybe hopefully that works out
I didn’t have a date for either of my proms. I went with a group of friends (senior year I took my younger cousin as my “date” and she had a great time) I think going with a group is a lot more fun because you can float around and hang out with/ dance different people
I remember re-watching this last year a week prior to my senior prom and was a little sad because I wasn’t going to enjoy it but how my prom turned out I’m not upset I didn’t go 😵💫
I still wish that Jesse could've knocked all those guys in the Face that were giving his Mom a hard time at the Diner. Those Punks were asking for it, That Big dude Made sure that they wouldn't show there Ugly Faces around there Again !!!
thank you very much. ykno how when you record something, and it doesn't record all the way? well, that happened. and I lost it. so thank you for this, you saved a wall some holes, and a shoe some stitching. ☺😁👌✌👍
this is sweet, but my prom was so awful. my sort of friends were too distracted by the pretty popular girls who were never very nice to them, I had no friends, no date, no big entrance, and therefore no one took pictures, even though i made my own dress. my only friend there, someone who I had spent most of my time with at school and i also had a crush on, wasn't bothered that this was the last time we might ever see eachother, and spent the entire time texting his girlffiend who was in the shower. my other friends were too synical and not bothered to turn up. I couldn't dance because I had previously dislocated my knee and was wearing a brace under my dress. No one talked to me apart from my maths teacher who said I was naturally beautiful and had a nice personality. So that was nice, but all in all a loosers end to a looser's tale. I hope one day I get to do something like it again, with people who actually care about me and have an awesome time.
You're not the only one, heard mixed stories about my school's prom. I didn't have anyone interested in going with me but had the nerve to admit it AFTER graduation which made me upset on so many levels. One girl asked me as a junior but I couldn't afford it at the time despite working a part time job on the weekends. Homecoming no one wanted to go with me, even so called friends. I managed to score a date with this extremely crazy chick whom I thought we had a thing together, even went on dates before the dance. She didn't want to go in the first place when I literally called her out on her bullshit saying she could have said no in the first place. I was extremely hurt days after the dance but eventually moved on to better things in life.
I spent my prom night gaming and watching movies while eating junk food more happy to leave. I hated my school because it was one of the typical places as portrayed in movies with cliques and stereotypes.
@@hyphuyen4382 you get used to it by loving yourself, knowing what your're worth. Hardly anyone wanted to go to prom with me, but here's the kicker, they admitted their feelings for me AFTER graduation. One girl got pissed at me for not making the first move in asking her to prom as they displayed unknown signs of interest toward me. I told her I would have been ecstatic to go with her if she asked, guys don't always have to make the first move. Cut her her off years ago because she's nothing but a total drama queen.
Sadly I never went to my prom but there are days I regret not going just thinking about it. My high school had their own cliques and stereotypes that made me cringe a lot of people I happily cut off after graduation. There was one girl who asked me junior year but couldn't afford it, she was cool about it which made me feel good about myself. Couple girls were expecting me to make the first move in asking them senior year but just wasn't feeling it. Spent the night eating junk food while playing videogames, no complaints. In honesty, prom isn't that all hyped up to be like in the movies. One girl I went to homecoming with left me in tears because she was such a pyschotic bitch despite how nice I treated her. Paid for the entire date and prior to attending, wish I could get some of that money back. Heard some sketchy mixed stories from those who went so I guess my absence wasn't a total loss. I wasn't the most liked person in my school but could care less. My only regret was not doing more around my school outside of just coming and going on a daily basis. Would have been nice to be part of a club or something.
ok i get that this movie is well bad, the type of movie Chris Stuckmann would give a D- but dang that last encounter scene gives ne so many feels tho..
Here's what happened after: Nova and Jesse proceeded to have a have unprotected sex later that night, resulting in an unwanted pregnancy. Nova carried the child to term and unfortunately had to drop out of college in order to raise the baby. She and Jessie proceeded to have a shotgun wedding, they stayed together for a few years until Jessie decided he had enough and went to pick up milk, he never came back. Nova was disowned by her family as her father had been proven right and decided she needed to be held responsible for her actions. Nova works at the same diner as Jessie's mother and regrets her decision to go to prom with Jesse everyday. Tyler after being humiliated in front of his entire class at Prom graduated along with no friends, as he walked down the stage for graduation, no one clapped. He was later arrested for pedophilia, he was caught trying to have sex with middle schoolers as he always had an attraction to younger girls. He was sentenced to life in prison where he was murdered in the shower by his fellow inmates. Lloyd after failing to find a date to Prom and spending his entire highschool life alone decided to become an incel and runs the biggest incel organization in Michigan, he became a far right extremist, dedicating his life to undoing women's rights Lucas proceed to dump Simone, citing "bros before hoes" and he and his friend Correy decided to join Lloyd in his incel organization, the three became very close friends. Jordan after freeing herself from Tyler and becoming independent decided to become a far left feminist, she does rallys on how the Patriarchy is destroying society and advocated for the sterilization of all men. She is in constant battle with Lloyd in a never ending battle between Man vs Woman. Mei went to New York where she instantly cheated on Justin, she contracted HIV and proceeded to also infect Justin with the virus. Both eventually developed full blown AIDS and died a painful death. Rolo went on to become an investment banker and invested a large sum of money in Crypto, he's worth millions. Ali disappeared after Prom, the Police were unable to find her and she was never seen or heard from again. Charlie entered the same highschool and his brother, he was often bullied by his teachers because of his resemblance to his brother, he found a gun in his father's basement and shot up his school, he then shot himself after taking the Principal's life Frank the father of Nova eventually developed testicular cancer and he also died a painful death
My prom will be soon.I hope that my sympathy approach me and ask to dance .We have been looking for two months without any word. Can you give me some advice about the prom, please?
