Promicron Workshop: Digital Machining with Spike® 

In the last internal InterQ workshop, Lennart Riehle introduced pro-micron GmbH approach towards digital machining. The usage of Spike technology, based on integrated wireless sensors in toolholders and spindles and advanced software for data analytics and visualization, allows process monitoring and quality control features. Lennart presented the status of the new developments in InterQ, focused on the adaptation of Spike technology to grinding processes, which are more sensitive, and the role of this system in the different industrial use cases of the project.
