A weekend of cold clear nights and sunny powder-filled days. Skied Ward Mt. outside of Ely on Saturday. Well worth the long approach for great conditions. Spent Sunday in Great Basin National Park checking out the stunning Doso Doyabi Couloir. Winds in the lower cirque made for an interesting exit!

Nice work, Ward is a real beauty! I skied Doso a couple seasons back, completely different scene, skis on top to bottom and the entrance was 100' wide. That cirque is such a magical place!

Thanks Alexis! I totally agree, that cirque is bananas. Always inspiring to be back there among the bristlecones too. If we had done the standard approach up the line we would have known about the wind scoured apron, whoops. But hey, it was still fun! Sounds like you nailed it though!
